WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??????? All teamster, -50%, one year. YOU CANNOT disable transport. How are you supposed to react to that? Population starves as no food, industry cant produce, you literally bring the entire island to a halt. - mate. Seriously. That was a damn stupid choice.
1. From 91% approval rate and 90% crime safety, within one year, I get very high rebel threat and 60% approval rate. I did not build any hotels, I annihilated the Medaillon Cartel (0 Members left). Police stations are well equipped and fundedbut they cease to work. That is most definitely not intended and atm unplayable.
So, 5 years in the game. I have a really good industry. Every faction is happy, rebel threat none, 90% approval. One year later, my rebel threat is extreme, rebels attack every 3 minutes, they spawn in 4 groups of 6 squads each, attack from all sites, destroying at random. You can implement such a feature, but not 5 years in.I STRONGLY recommend you to give that an event (they come from outside). But an internal faction spawning 100 soldiers every 3 minutes on a 1000 pop ... No. Just no.
A very good scenario still, but needs some polish.
Unfortunately Tropico 6 currently lacks the tools to do anything as ambitious as this at the moment. I hope they add the tools one day!
Pros
+ Story is interesting most of the time and the Tropico humor is present
+ Gang influence
+ Faction demands and consequences
+ Historical world events affect the price of resources
Cons
- Constant fires are annoying
- You can get invaded even if you have 100 relations with a superpower
- Game might start to lag with 2k+ population as it is a long scenario
sorry for my bad english,i'm austrian
I love that constitution TT
Also I loved the historical/ufology references. Great work !
Also check out this thread for another bug I found if you have the waterbourne expansion. http://forum.kalypsomedia.com/showthread.php?tid=28571
Unfortunately you cant actually use it for missions
I have also created a new discussions page under my mission if you would like to discuss modding further
I don't mind if you want to post questions here
Unfortunately, world is a sandbox is right for the first point about ending era's. Its a bug in Tropico 5's mission editor. The editor has an option for "starting era' and 'ending era' however the 'ending era' option does not work (My mission starts in the cold war but if you give it enough time, the dialogue for going to the modern times still pops up- I disabled the space program and nuclear program though which is why its stuck in the cold war era)
Your current solution for the colonial era is a valid one. Another alternative (I have yet to explore) is perhaps detecting when the player declares independence and instantly launching an overwhelming scripted invasion which the player is guaranteed to lose (And give them a warning beforehand). Thereby making sure they don't want to declare independence
The Colonial Era is hardcoded, you can't change the time settings. You can't also prolong it, after x years, I think 8 or so, you'll get the lose dialog. Also note that Colonial is without explicit timeline: in all other eras you have the clock tick by month and year. In Colonial its a countdown from X, and you only have y time which is determined by the max number of randomized tasks available to the player in the vanilla script.
To get to World Wars or another period, there's an "Advance Era" command, and you can also query by era.
Suggestion: start your own HopkinsDevelopment thread as a general thread. We'll be happy to post there. Mwyeoh might not be happy that you hijacked his mission thread.
