" +bAllowAWCAbilities=2 " would thus allow the soldier to gain up to two abilities from the AWC?

If you haven't gone searching, I just stumbled on a more experienced modder giving another walkthrough. Let me know if this helps.

'In each [ClassNameGoesHere X2SoldierClassTemplate] section, adding the line:

AllowedArmors=soldier

will allow the soldier to equip all of the default soldier armors, and adding the line:

bAllowAWCAbilities=1

will allow the soldier to gain random abilities from the AWC.'

Hm... I can't think of the fix at the moment. I recommend asking around on that forum, as being able to do that fix will let you fix any other classes that suffer this issue as well. Sorry for the trouble.

First post details the issue. Basically, find the secion mentioned in there, and add the line in.

That will fix the issue for you specifically. To fix it for everyone, I have to get around to altering it myself. If enough people still enjoy the mod and would like a fix, I'll do so on my end, as well. Best of luck sir!

So is the DLC fix something I could do? Do you have link to an article that talks about the issue?

There was an issue with classes breaking after some of the DLC was released, which I hadn't bothered to fix. As for the swords veering it away, well... It wouldn't be that hard to give it the cannon/grenade launcher combo, but that wasn't the vision *I* had for the class. The work I did was actually extremely basic and was done entirely via ini edits/additions, doesn't require any scripting knowledge.

Got one of these as a reward for a mission.
The sword side of things veers it away from what I imagine a "Heavy" to be.
Also, mine cannot equip higher than basic Kevlar.

No problem, let me know if there's any issues or suggestions with the class. One I know of is I haven't implemented a GTS research perk for the class yet... nor am I currently aware of how. I know it can be done, though, so that'll likely go in the next update.
