Out of curiosity, will this be updated for WotC? The only reason I ask is because not all of the mods for XCOM 2 are going to be updated and will remain for the nonWotC expansion. Not trying to pry, just wanted to ask a question. :/

these guys are awesome and deadly! Wiped out on my first GOM! There was a whole team of them and they just picked off my soldiers one by one

I'm well aware of that. But some mods are being tweaked while others aren't. Maybe by asking the authors will see that there's interest in their work and update it.

I did play your other mods with Long war 2 and they were working like a charm. This one however made long war super easy. I mean long war works as it used to but enemy pods are Vanilla size. If you get super light enemy size thru infiltration then theres just 1 enemy which is ussualy a scout drone XD

So that goes for all the other enemy mods where you've asked this, ChaosMadeFlesh. If the mod's not been updated since LW 2 came out, it's definitely not compatible.

I love this mod, but I do have a few questions. Is there anyway to have them automatically placed in every mission encounter? Is it possible to see a much harder version of this mod, as in once you activate a pod, they scamper out of sight but can still shoot you or activate Longwatch? Thank you in advance if you reply, and thank you once more for making this enemy!

Make sure you grab Advent Sniper - he works perfectly with LWS Alien pack and is a scary beast as he scatters *away* from the contact to set-up a killshot on you.

Had a few memorable Cat & Mouse games where I'm on an evac mission timer but I know that AS is activated and still out there in the fog, Long Watch overwatching me...

I've had this mod for quite a long time now and every time I run into the snipers, they do run for cover or run to the back somewhere and go into over watch. Which is what they should do. They don't have a lot of HP for balance but can move for cover and shoot at you on that move if they want. Which I have also had them do many times. So in my many games, they are working just fine guys.

Used this throughout my last complete playthrough and I don't remember the derpy AI others have mentioned. That said, I was prioritising these guys so not many of them lived to do that much.

@Farkyrie I love the mod idea, and the seeming terror the ADVENT Sniper brings about, but so far the snipers I've seen don't do anything. They scatter to cover and do nothing with their action points. I have mods installed other then this one but none that should be affecting them.

Has anyone else encountered derpy AI? The snipers in my file haven't taken a single shot at my units, and tend to run into the open. The only AI mod I have installed is for Sectoids.

I agree with Xavier that the spawn rate is high but deep inside, I find it satisfying, murdering more and more Advent snipers with my snipers :D so I don't mind seeing more of these guys on the field

p.s. can you give them rail gun effect? I love how badass their sniper rifle look and would be more immersive to have the rail gun effect from Enemy Within for them as well

Its not necessarily that there are too many per pod, but just about all reiforcements have snipers.

I have to say, the spawn weight is still very high, considering how much straight damage they do (Legend with increased pod size may play a part), but still.

Happy to report back that the Sniper trooper is super cool to play against. I have no problem with them having Snapshot IF THEY HAVE some kinda small aim penalty. Is there a way to tweak the .INI to give them -20 aim penalty or remove the Crit/Executioner trait when Snapshot is used?

this is the coolest Alien addition in the workshop but I am concerned about the "move and shoot without aim penalty"? damn, it's a bit unbalanced.

give them a weakness or something. Even with aim penalty, I think they are already powerful

I'm not averse to snapshot, but an aim penalty would make sense. Is there a reason why you decided against that?
