the problem I encounter is that the drop ships don't leave. The first ds doesn't deploy but the second one does. Otherwise I enjoyed it. Wished it was longer :)

How do you make the dropship sequences?? i always wanted the combine dropship to be useful but it only spawns without a container if you can respond with a text to help me with the dropship container i would love that thank you :steamhappy:

This should be a base terrain for a possible HL3 level if that is created (probably not).

@Karios This issue can be caused by AI changing addons. The Gunship and Dropships are in an NPC state of 'sleep', so if you'd like, you can disable any AI altering addons while you play the map.

Hey, I'm having some trouble- The headcrabs trigger properly, but none of the triggers past that will activate for me. I can see the gunship and dropship when I noclip, but they dont activate.

Can you make a map where it's just one dropship, and you have to defeat the troops inside? Can be any combine troop, whether it be: Metrocops, Soldiers, Elites, Shotgunners, or maybe even two hunters? You don't have to make it customized, it could just be one dropship, 6 soldiers, and a flat area?

Helicopter fight has no cover unless you scoot down the ladder super fast, or spray your 4 round rocket launcher. Cheap deaths aren't fun. For a short fight map not too bad.

The map is actually very good, the lighting is very accurate to a sunset. The headcrab and combine battles were entertaining. And the gunship was a little challenging, although it could of been made alot more difficult, and you should of actually put a rocket launcher, The terrain was pretty, and the fact that you have balanced difficulty was suprising, Aswell as the working dropships. The rating for this map would Be 9/10, You deserve a reward for such a great first map.

I played it a few times and enjoyed it but had a few suggestions, 1. More combine by their outpost. It was cool that there was an attack force and mounted turrets but it wasn't enough to scare me. I still had the high ground and picked them off. The turrets couldn't reach me and one was facing the wrong way. 2. The Headcrabs. I saw another person mention that they were out of place, but I think they should only be moved to the back of the sequence. Fight thru combine, gunship, then trapped corridor with zombies and stuff. 3. The Dropship. Wow. I haven't seen a map with a working dropship yet so that was good! But, they came one by one, in an enclosed area and it was almost too easy. Instead maybe have had like a boss fight or something... :steamhappy: GOod overall! 9.9/10

There is a lot more that doesn’t look as good at the moment because I’m mainly focused on fleshing out gameplay spaces. Nevermind. I think one of my AI-changing Addons messed everything up. It was a great map, a little bit too short, but i enjoyed it. Great work!

Can somebody tell me how to trigger the events? The Headcrab canisters are being triggered, but everything else not. I was wandering aorund the map for five minutes and nothing happened.

@Your advertisement here I'm currently working on a sequel to this map. Itll take a while though. I don't want to rush anything and I have school as well. I hope to be done sometime next month, as the sequel is already about twice the length of this map and isnt finished.

It was fun, and I recomend you only use the weapons provided in the start. I used the crossbow, and just camped the drop ships. The ambush was suprising, but I feel it gave to much time for the player to recover before the combine actually show up. I felt the gunship was more of a suprise. Overall, I would love to see what else this mapmaker creates.

Overall, i liked it. I really liked the feel of the outside area and how you could flank and plan. It felt natural, given the surroundings. I hope to see more from you. This map, as a first try, is a good start. I hope to see more like that outdoor area. I also, hope you learned more about level design and game flow. And i hope you read this as just a simple review. I encourage you to make even more maps :)

Here are my thoughts. The design is simple but i liked it. I liked the combine on the outside of the building and the over all feel of that. Good cover, able to plan routes to flank, etc. The Gunship fight was tense b/c i was caught off guard and was forced to think quickly to climb back down the ladder to my only cover. That was nice. What I didn't like were a few things. The headcrabs were kinda out of place. The end fight is just a fucking mess though. I went into the room where the drop ship comes in, got stuck behind it and died. Nocliped back, thinking that i wasn't suppose to be in there to begin with. the Combine completely destroyed me in that small room. Just non stop shooting, can't kill them fast enough. Died.
