they do spawn now but they are super rare and usless (they never shoot and their ever vigilent doesent work)

when do they start to spawn (what month aproximatly) because they havent started 2 spawn 4 me and im not sure if the mods not working or im being impatiant.advanced mechs are allreading spawning in my campain so i would assume the recon units should have started 2 spawn by now

Just popping in to ask if it's possible for this to be updated for WOTC as unlikely it might be, just saying since there are people who do think about these mods but either lack the modding skill or the permission to update it to WOTC themselves.

Just wanted to thank you for this brilliant enemy, and your muton demolisher. Playing my first run thru of "A Better Advent 2" added your mods to the mix as DERBK said it was compatible out of the box.

Your 2 Recons and His Demolitionist & Advent Officer from ABA were responsible for total squad wipe. Your Recons flanked me to left and right , His officer threw a Flashbang stunning a large portion of my squad, followed by the demolitionist raining plasma grenades from range. It was -ugly- the best I can say was it was over quickly... except for the crying.

@Kobazco got similar results from ADVENT's Aliens Overwatch Mastery (Ever Vigilant overwatch).
I had 189+ mods active at the time. So it must be one of those mods that breaking Ever Vigilant.

I will say that I had about 189+ mods active at the time... So its possible that another mod is preventing the overwatch to trigger.

its weird, ive had overwatches trigger from.. a distance id like to say, but up close it wont activate. Do the recon soldiers have conflicting perks or starts or anything? Shouldnt be anything wrong with the perk if you just used the vanilla

I would rework the skin, so there's one thats red, but with blue highlights, you know so it fits with the advent troops, but still like the idea though, can't wait to test it out when I get the game :)

so lil problemo first time I encountered these guys, it was a pod of 4 of these guys, really great ai in combination with "Ever Vigilant" which.. well would be great if the perk worked? For some reason I could freely move even right next to them when they have that perk active.

You should really remove XComGame folder under src for all your mods, I basically have to move your mods away from workshop folder and unsub for every single mods from you.

I like these guys. They seem a little bit broken what with their overwatching being visible from the other side of the map in the fog of war, but they're interesting enemies.

Found you through the Muton Demolisher and realized you released lots of mods (including the Elite Viper which just sounded masochistic, but I decided today that I enjoy suffering) that add new units. Was disappointed to read the comments here and see that they're their own unit squads instead of joining normal squads.
Most militaries don't operate on big clusters of the same unit. Mixed Unit Tactics has been a doctrine as far back as the Roman empire, so it'd make sense that a Captain would have standard infantry or heavy units to command and lighter recon units to support and relay information to the Captains.

Kobazco, i reckon these guys should be allowed to mix in with other Advent too. In my mind a squad of soldiers would be a mixed bag: XCom is, afterall.

@Kobazco They defintely move, so that bit is good. Sadly I know this because of the Ever-Vigilant bug, but once Firaxis nails that one these will be a sweet addition to any game.

Huh, didn't know that. Also in MP you might not be able to get any units that have Ever-Vigilant, you can only get gauss weapon-tier soldiers.

That is crazy there is no way to hide the ever vigilant ability. Make sure to report that to fireaxis. That shit needs to be hotfixed. If what you say is true that must mean it is also true in MP?

Sure it makes sense if their scout ability is to have wider concealment detection. Especially given that they aren't currently scouting anyway and I always know exactly where their location is!

Part of their scouting power is also to provide their squad with overwatch support.

From a balancing standpoint and logical standpoint this makes a lot more sense IMO. Though it is a moot point if there is no way to hide their map location. Bummer! This unit is almost a great addition for the enemy.

1. No way to fix the ever vigilant thing sorry.

2. They should be moving at least a bit, theres no real way to make them move as if they are already activated thought that I know of.

3. They are supposed to only show up with eachother, because it wouldnt make much sense for a scout unit to be mixed in with an assault and others right?
