if only we can have cars race around it

Right here, Niko! :) The section by AmiPolizeiFunk is the most efficient way to make the overlay https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1275917540

How do you make street map overlays like the one you made?
MrMiyagi  [author] 5 Jun, 2018 @ 9:16am
Hi Laynat, here is a collection https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1275786843 where you can find some stuff. Be forewarned, though, that a large percentage of the buildings and props are terrible for the game and your computer's performance (including the ones in my pictures). You're best off snagging the new race track roads and its dependency pack by HooHeeHaa, found at the top of the collection, and then waiting for new buildings and props to come out of Project Monaco series by PugGaming. I'm sure there will be some more F1 stuff coming from the content creators involved. A little bit gets published each time he publishes a new video episode :) Here is the link to Project Monaco series, lots of inspiration https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcD5wLaOWQITNFWJeJz-vX8yxA-AgMEKn

Thanks, I'm glad you like it! It's a challenging build, but it ends up being a lot of fun because the views are great! Happy building :chirp:
ketamiini 28 May, 2018 @ 12:23pm
This is the most beatiful map i've ever seen. Needless to say I love it!
GIX_oGvDo 1 Aug, 2017 @ 7:42am
It must have taken you so much time to make this map. Excellent work, it looks very good. thanks for the map! =)
alborzka 23 May, 2017 @ 9:43am
:D awh thank you! It just helped highlight how much landscaping by hand and all the effort you put into making this amazing map :)

alborzka 21 May, 2017 @ 8:02am
Using Theme Mixer (w/ Provence theme as a base) and only replaced Cliff Diffuse Texture with pdelmo's Temperate Coast HD, and Cliff Sand Normal Texture with StrayCatsTerritory, and it looks like an absolute dream:

Thanks aborzka :) I like building on all different kinds of land because it keeps the game interesting.
alborzka 28 Feb, 2017 @ 5:16am
I *love* the fact that this is such a challenging map -- it really brings character to your cities and forces you to be creative! Add in some realism mods and you have yourself a city without compare ;)
This and the Agadir map are my favourite ones in C:S so far, you really have a knack for this MrMiyagi!
MrMiyagi  [author] 2 Jan, 2017 @ 5:46am
Cool! It's a challenging location but I had a lot of fun with it
BigDaddy512 30 Dec, 2016 @ 3:57am
dude I live in Monaco and this is really cool thanks for this great map :D
MrMiyagi  [author] 29 Oct, 2016 @ 4:58pm
Hi Mr Snrub, it's the Provence Theme, and the link is listed there on the right of this page where it says "required items"... which isnt totally true. You can use this map with any tropical-based theme. Start a new game with the map, it will say "warning!" which should really be "hey, by the way" :D nothing bad will happen. Just hit ok to get a default theme. Then once your city first starts, save it, then go back out... find whatever tropical-based custom heme you like, restart the game, click "load game", then on that box pick the custom theme you want :) hit play, voila!
Doctor Carrot 29 Oct, 2016 @ 3:31pm
i have a question: what is the map theme?
Hokulea 8 Sep, 2016 @ 4:01am
About to start a journey on this map... Looks great!
MrMiyagi  [author] 31 Aug, 2016 @ 1:10pm
Tropicallyish :D That's precisely it! Well I think the first one really broke the mold of how to make maps, taking everyone from super flat blah to "how am I supposed to build a city on that hill?" :D I like everybody's stuff, I'm kinda like this character :steamhappy:. Anyhoo, I'm glad you like it. I really wish the theme was better, but I had to make it myself because there wasn't anything with peach sidewalks (lol those Riviera people and their fancy sidewalks)
Behavingnose 29 Aug, 2016 @ 8:52am
this is definetly the best tropically ish map i've ever played, great theme and map much better than the other monaco map

Hi there, I did find mention of this very issue on a forum. Apparently it's wide spread, so it may be either a bug in the update, or some sort of limiter on the game once you get past a certain point population wise. I can't give you the actual cause of course, but it's quite the hot topic! I haven't tried out faster mode recently, so I wonder if I too will have this issue. This link is for page 2 of the discussion, it's a hot one as you will see :D Not very helpful, but it's good to at least know why. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/app/255710/discussions/0/610574827759795245/#p2
Ryde 11 Mar, 2016 @ 2:31am
I love this map, but I have an issue, I can't seem to speed up time, and placing roads lags, but no lag otherwise... Im running C:S on a Mac. Hope you can help
MrMiyagi  [author] 10 Mar, 2016 @ 11:05pm
That's great, Cringer63, I'm glad you liked it! If you're a fan of attention to detail like I am, you just might lose your mind when you see Shaareki by Owl. It's so detailed that it looks like a model train set O.O I recorded a little tour on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DgCsAQRkLg
and he's now working hard on the next map which will be in a different custom theme. I hear Southern California :) Shaareki is here:https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=633871989
Cringer 10 Mar, 2016 @ 8:17pm
This may be my favorite map I have built on in CS. The attention to detail man, awesome work.
MrMiyagi  [author] 10 Mar, 2016 @ 2:07pm
Now that he has published amazing flowering bushes, I have plenty of inspiration now! :) His trees and bushes wil be in the next map!
TheBackYard 10 Mar, 2016 @ 11:18am
@MrMiyagi ok! Exiting news!
MrMiyagi  [author] 9 Mar, 2016 @ 5:16am
Hi Cvisser, it is possible to make a map using some of them. I would love to fill up a map with them because his trees are amazing. However, for most of them he recommends using them sparingly, because they are on the higher end of recommended tree tri count. I have used higher tri trees in special built-in parks, so I will be able to use them that way in an upcoming map.
If you have a powerful computer and would like to replant any map with such trees, you can use More Landscaping Tools mod by BloodyPenguin. The tree brush and pencil are excellent
TheBackYard 9 Mar, 2016 @ 3:16am
@MrMyagi could you make a map with Mrmaisons trees?
Benny Beanpicker (NL) 8 Mar, 2016 @ 11:46pm
thanks i only needs to fill really small places cause this 1 fils it tooo your theme change the color to pavemant perfectly its just not a prop so small places i cant fill https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=416103351
MrMiyagi  [author] 8 Mar, 2016 @ 6:43pm
If you want more, Big Bad Nonja made a series of these decal stickers. If I make more themes, I will see if I can match those well for the same reason. Have a good one! https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/?id=599482100
MrMiyagi  [author] 8 Mar, 2016 @ 6:40pm
Here you go, Wastingpluto, it's not perfect, but as you can see it looks pretty okay, very well as a color filler. Boformer's decal fills up space from sidewalk to beginning of pier, inbetween the two bushes https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=641384638
MrMiyagi  [author] 8 Mar, 2016 @ 6:32pm
Hey there, I was thinking of the same thing when I made the terrain theme. I haven't successfully made one of these decal stickers of pavement (yet), but I tried to keep it really close to boformer's sticker decal, while still keeping the right colors as seen in Monaco. The difference is really slight, and this was on purpose :) I think it works, even though it doesn't line up brick for brick, the colors are really close. Will post a screenshot in a sec https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=555682532
Benny Beanpicker (NL) 8 Mar, 2016 @ 7:56am
hi , can you tell me where to find that ground texture you use can it be found as a prop orso i need to fill up some empty spaces with that nice pavement .
我叫王嘉然 4 Mar, 2016 @ 3:53pm
thanks
MrMiyagi  [author] 4 Mar, 2016 @ 1:07pm
Okay, it's picture number 13, sieb22, and I guess I was so surprised that I left it out, that I forgot to point you to the gigantic flat area just one square to the south of the start square :D You could also put a regular airport on top of where the fortress and palaces are, part of which is in the start square. So yes, it's quite easy to put an airport down, but the choices are limited. Its just a different kind of challenge in city building.
MrMiyagi  [author] 4 Mar, 2016 @ 12:39pm
Yes, there is. You have to expand up the hill with the highway coming down. I was going to point you to the topographic map, but I see I did not put the overall topographic map!! O:o Sorry about that, I will makr the spaces for an airport, and also about the land, I almost made it a requirement to get the ingame mod that allows you to shape the terrain. As I make my second city on this, it makes things easier. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=502750307
Siebren 4 Mar, 2016 @ 12:06pm
haha playing this map with a slope limiter......
Siebren 4 Mar, 2016 @ 12:06pm
Any place for an airport ??
MrMiyagi  [author] 4 Mar, 2016 @ 9:17am
XD Thanks saamrocks11, the rating system is silly: it doesn't give five stars until after approximately 100 thumbs up, even if no one ever down voted it. O.o Steam apparently ignores basic mathematics, it has a 99% thumbs up rating lol
MirrorCast 4 Mar, 2016 @ 9:09am
LIKE THIS AND GET IT 5 STARS COME ON WHO COULD NOT LOVE THIS MAP AND CREATOR
MrMiyagi  [author] 4 Mar, 2016 @ 6:41am
萎員長 A map wouldn't cause this, but it is a common question. Try two things: 1) disable any and all custom vehicles you are subscribed to, and any mods as well. After an update, faulty vehicles are a pretty common cause. And then 2) Allow the simulation to run for a while. It takes quite a while now for cars to reach playable areas (this goes for planes and trains, too). Your city will still start growing.

Great map! I had the pleasure of living there for 8 years but the displeasure of dealing with the other people who live there!
Salatsocke 3 Mar, 2016 @ 5:13am
merci
MrMiyagi  [author] 3 Mar, 2016 @ 4:36am
Salatsocke, it's a problem with the fine road heights mod. Go to this discussion and there's a discussion and a link to a temporary fix. PropaneDragon has to rewrite the entire thing from scratch. Currently, it's still got issues but you can make many kinds of roads still. If you don't have fine road heights mod, it's probably another. Maps will never cause that kind of a glitch. Temporary fix by Propane Dragon with instructions and link: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/413678178/405693392907553790/#p2
