ah jeez mann... :-( poor SFM Since 2017 never get update and after Saxxy Awards...

Normally red errors are a workshop related issue when downloading the files. You should unsub from this model, allow SFM to delete the model, and then resub so SFM gets a fresh copy.

You should be able to use prp_curtain_section.mdl as your moveable curtain. It has bones for minor movements, and since it's a standalone model, can be resized.
Kruger Babadook 22 Apr, 2021 @ 10:09pm
is the curtain posable and resizable?

Oh, cool!

Not that I'm aware of, I've had this idea sitting in my idea folder since 2012. It wasn't until this year that I got around to making it.
Lemonade 5 Mar, 2016 @ 1:09pm
Just curious, is this from/based off of an existing SFM?
Astute  [author] 3 Mar, 2016 @ 8:31pm
As it turns out, it was fairly simple to rip the curtain off and rebake it as a standalone curtain. I also added a few bones so you can sway the curtain a little bit when it moves. You should be able to turn off the puppet stage curtains and then put up the standalone ones for moving curtain shots. You can also scale these up for larger stages.

Hmm, I hadn't thought about that. It was designed as a static prop, so actual moving curtains was never considered. I'll look into this, maybe I can provide a moveable curtain.

Can you close the curtains? Just wondering because I am possibly going to re-scale this and use it for an animation.

Also, your models are all awesome :)

Keep getting CutIRB Overflow error when trying to subscribe, so I'm just gonna use that workshop downloader site... Hate how SFM runs out of memory when simply downloading workshop stuff...

Thanks man, I really appreciate the sentiment. I've always enjoyed coming up with an idea in my head, and then being able to turn it into a reality. It wasn't until now that I felt I really had that power. I'm glad you are able to make use of what I've made, as well as the many SFM animators out there.

You are by far the best TF2 styled prop maker there is! Both for the props but also in bringing your TF2 items to the workshop in such a way where it shows off the potential for each of them!

Plus the way you display all of your workshop stuff is the best, perfect preview images with showing the scale of 'em, then the amazingly descriptive description!

As for these props it's brilliant! The fact you went and made your own mini models for a promo instead of scaling down normal models, this is true dedication, looking forward to your future works! o/
