Kinsect 26 Nov, 2024 @ 4:16pm
It should still work if you have AML right?
branox 24 Nov, 2024 @ 9:25am
just to let you know with the new update and launcher. This mod no longer works on WOTC. I haven't tested to on the base game. Also i love this mod and have been using it for a long time :)

@Big Red

Aww man, it's not that I don't want to, it's just that I don't even know how to do that :/

I followed a tutorial for making the voicepack, and anything outside that tutorial is just greek to me.

(Also I sort of lost all the voiceclips after my PC crash and burned, tho I think there should be a way to extract them from the mod)
The Big Red 1 29 Aug, 2017 @ 6:21pm
update for xpak please?
Kpmh2001 31 Jan, 2017 @ 1:32pm
YES
Dovahsdottir_864 6 Jul, 2016 @ 1:12pm
This is awesome! Now I just need to find/make a Gopher voicepack...
Rebelkommando616 10 Jun, 2016 @ 2:46pm
Thank you so much
[RQ] StuballZ 17 Apr, 2016 @ 1:39am
Was thinking about doing this myself. Now I don't have to, yay!
Havelock Vetinari  [author] 2 Apr, 2016 @ 5:51am
I thought about that, but he doesn't seem to be speaking in his ZP persona in there (as in, he talks much slower). I suppose I could create a secondary file for people who don't mind stuff from his slower paced videos.
Knife-28 1 Apr, 2016 @ 8:49pm
Any plans to use samples from his 'Lets Drown Out XCOM' videos?
SunBro 27 Mar, 2016 @ 2:38pm
thank you so much
kerrigan1603 14 Mar, 2016 @ 2:16am
sorry to spam but when are you going to do jim fucking sterling
Boba_Fettish 13 Mar, 2016 @ 4:33am
RIP Yahtzee. 5 missions, 12 kills and a lucky crit from a melee attack by a muton. His final words, "I'm dead". Will see you on the next run old friend :(
A Big Hairy Ape Man With A Rock 11 Mar, 2016 @ 8:20pm
Oh goody! :)
Salt 11 Mar, 2016 @ 2:49pm
@Havelock Vetinari Wait, WHAT?! Where did you hear of this?
Havelock Vetinari  [author] 11 Mar, 2016 @ 2:15pm
Also, I heard TB is making an official voicepack himself, recording the lines and everything.
Havelock Vetinari  [author] 11 Mar, 2016 @ 2:15pm
@Elite0087 to be honest, my original plan was to make a JonTron voicepack, to go with my JonTron Specialist. Problem is, Jon is quite found of putting background music and sound effects in his videos, so most of his most memorable quotes are quite unusable. I decided to do Yahtzee instead because Yahtzee doesn't do much other than talking to the mic
Salt 11 Mar, 2016 @ 8:03am
Now I just need a Totalbiscuit, JonTron, and possibly Angry Joe voice pack to make a YouTuber squad...
The Big Red 1 10 Mar, 2016 @ 9:17pm
could u get into contact with him and tell him u are doing a voice mod about him im sure he wud come aboard?
Pilk Enjoyer 10 Mar, 2016 @ 4:43am
one way to address the older sound is to add a slight static effect to newer audio since the soldiers in universe are talking though the radio, however this would be more work as newer videos show up.
Squirt McGurt 8 Mar, 2016 @ 12:33pm
Such a wonderful amount of content to choose from. You have selected only the finest Yahtzee for this mod. Congratulations.
Havelock Vetinari  [author] 7 Mar, 2016 @ 9:00pm
If it turns out to be possible to mod Bradford into someone else, my first action would be to turn him into Fuuka from Persona 3. "Senpai, we are losing civilians left and right!"
Gorb 2: The Gorbening 7 Mar, 2016 @ 8:58pm
Now I want a mod where Yahtzee replaces bradford
Gorb 2: The Gorbening 7 Mar, 2016 @ 8:54pm
Also, love the, "What, 4 points!? Wasn't looking, didn't count!" line when you heal someone
Gorb 2: The Gorbening 7 Mar, 2016 @ 8:52pm
I'd be really sad if he didn't want this mod existing, but somehow I don't see him minding, provided this mod ever gets his attention
Havelock Vetinari  [author] 7 Mar, 2016 @ 7:47pm
@Defalt That's because of the source videos, unfortunately. Yahtzee changed his gear at around 2014, and sound in the videos before it have noticeably lower quality than the more recent ones. I tried upping the files manually on Audacity, but it just made the difference more glaring.

If it becomes too much of a problem, I could make a separate sound file with only the clearer sounds, but it's going to take a while.
Defalt 7 Mar, 2016 @ 6:52pm
the volume still seems off on some lines when i played recently
{CQF} RobertS 7 Mar, 2016 @ 9:41am
I wonder what yahtzee would think of this?
Garr Incorporated 7 Mar, 2016 @ 2:11am
Thanks for that!
Havelock Vetinari  [author] 6 Mar, 2016 @ 9:16pm
UPDATE: Increased volume from 1.0 to 1.5

That should be enough to make him as loud as everyone else.

Also fixed some of the blank lines, though some are still blank (can't find anything relevant to put on "EVAC: Soldier Dead", for example.)
kerrigan1603 6 Mar, 2016 @ 7:56pm
please do Jim Sterling next!
Havelock Vetinari  [author] 6 Mar, 2016 @ 4:28pm
@goriel I left some lines blank because I couldnt find anything that fit them, and was going to update the voicepack after I did so. That said, the further back in time I go in Yahtzee's videos, the worse the sound quality gets (I think he bought some new mic around 2013 or something), so I likely will end up repurposing some lines from other actions to fill the blanks.
Garr Incorporated 6 Mar, 2016 @ 8:32am
There's a room to improve. For some reason, some lines were blank, and his voice is still less loud than others...
cliff 6 Mar, 2016 @ 5:43am
I play with music on, but I still feel like it's a bit lower than the regular voices. Might just be me though, I have shit hearing :p Great mod!
Havelock Vetinari  [author] 5 Mar, 2016 @ 10:28pm
It's still too low? I can turn the volume up some more, but I honestly don't see much of a difference. I do play without music on, though.

I'll increase the volume as soon as I can.
cliff 5 Mar, 2016 @ 3:22pm
I think it's way too low compared to the rest, can I change it myself?
Havelock Vetinari  [author] 5 Mar, 2016 @ 9:43am
No problem, but I didn't do anything :P
Suspicious Activity 4 Mar, 2016 @ 11:24pm
I can hear him perfectly now. Thanks! :)
Havelock Vetinari  [author] 4 Mar, 2016 @ 9:59pm
@Suspicious Activity

That's weird. Does the preview button work?
Suspicious Activity 4 Mar, 2016 @ 9:13pm
I can't quite hear Yahtzee's speech. The other soldiers I hear fine. Not sure what I did wrong.
Vahn Smash 3 Mar, 2016 @ 10:54am
I think this is my favorite voicepack. The fact that you pulled lines from his XCOM 2 review makes it even more amazing. I love giving a member of my squad his voice and hearing them occassionally break the 4th wall, and the audio quality is a lot better than expected.
Havelock Vetinari  [author] 2 Mar, 2016 @ 5:12pm
@Big Slosh

I followed the instructions, rebuilt it and all, but personally didn't notice much of a difference. It could be that I just wasn't using enough mods for the junk data to affect my gameplay, though.
Arkan 2 Mar, 2016 @ 4:05pm
Hey Let's do a Bill O'Reilly voicepack! "Do it Live" :cowboyhat:
Boo Boo the Fool 2 Mar, 2016 @ 3:30pm
If you end up needing to silence the mod, just re-label it as a 'mute' voicepack for all those Gordon Freemans out there.
