yes, the changes in this mod is merged into the highlander already

Worth reporting to the Highlander guys (preferably via a Github Issue). They'd probably appreciate a launch.log after a crash and a save file (if you can use Remove Missing Mods to trim it to the essentials for crash replication).

Should be mentioned that the community update trick is unstable. Did all the instructions to turn it on and it breaks my game. It probably works with not a lot of mods.

Yeah figured it out. Thanks Dragon 32. Should probably be mentioned in the description that Highlander has this mod disabled by default. The Highlander XComGame.ini needs to be edited by uncommenting and setting the zero to 1.

This'd probably be better on the Highlander page. But, yeah, deleting the base game INIs from the WoTC My Games folder could help. Also ensure you've removed the semi-colon from that line in the Highlander XComGame.ini.

Hey Dragon32, Still no go. Do you think refreshing my WotC config .ini would help? Would like to avoid doing that since all my other mods are working fine, but would like this mod to work too.

just spent 30 mins staring blankly at XComGroupSpawn.uc but have no idea what to edit to make the spawn point larger : /

don't forget the default is still 3x3 spawn size, you need to change the config

just tried with community highlander and Squad Select and had spawn issues on every test, usually soldiers spawning away from the spawn point, all on a single tile and sometimes spawning out of bounds unabled to move. Any idea if thats a problem on my end?

IIRC it's the extra length of one side of the square. So 3 + 2 = 5x5 by default, 25 soldiers.

is the extra tile spawns a radius/diameter of squares, or the total number of avilable squares?

you can only have 1 highlander mod, no 2 highlander mod can work with each other

@bg, I'm sorry for bothering you, man. I was just wondering like a few others if you were going to update tis for wotc? I am wondering though if you don't plan on it if you may know of a fix or another mod that helps in a similar fashion? I am having a bug where my soldiers spawn under the map and I can't do anything at all. I haven't had that issue since before I started using this mod way back when, lol. I increased the slot size in the .ini to fit the larger squad, but to no avail. Either way, thank you for the stuff you have put out there. I have used this mod plus quite a few others of yours for quite awhile now.

he will, relax, hes got a life outside of xcom too llol; -bg- has already ported a ton of his mods over and it's only been a couple of days.

we can all wait a bit and only use 8 or less soldiers tops until that happens.

100% no, highlander mods for vanilla will never work in wotc

@The Kebab I tried it and it crashed before it got to any of the splash screens so I would say no.
