Finally a proper top hat without silly bones for my 19th century Steampunk Gentleman of Refined Tastes Xcom fighter!! But please do a WOTC version. oh please do a Nexus version too.

I don't know that it did for sure but I've heard of a lot of issues with helmets/hats and other other accessories or armor mods not working completely right.

Ah, did it break with the new update? I'm absolutely swamped at the moment, but as soon as I have some free time I'll try and fix it. If anybody wants to upload their own version that's been fixed, you have my permission to do so, provided you credit me somewhere in the description. I probably won't have time to fix it myself for a while.

Somehow the filesize increased when I cleared out the old shadercache files that normally cause large file sizes. I'm going to subject this to the "try again tomorrow" method of troubleshooting. Until then, my apologies.

so there is something odd going on with the size of the mod... perhaps the gods of coding need a fresh sacrifice. I sure do need some Weathly voiced british rebel with a fancy top hat in my squads to complement the cheeki breeki russian with a red star hat thingy.

Fixed the issues that were preventing the upload of a new Bowler Hat. It's been ready for months, turns out being subscribed to this mod during the debugging was causing the editor to ignore my changes. It's been ready to go for ages now and that one little thing was holding it up. Enjoy the Bowler Hat.

Sorry about the massive delay on this. As of this morning I've double checked all the modelling, texturing and rigging. It's just a matter of wrangling the modding tools now. Hopefully I'll be able to push the update by the end of today. From here on out I want to put stuff out far more quickly. No more sitting on finished mods for months at a time waiting on tool updates. My internet speed has marginally improved and I'm better at this now as well.

Sure thing. Bowler hat is pretty close to completion. I actually did 90% of the work on the Bowler hat months ago, I just haven't managed to get the tools updated and expected somebody else to put one out before I could. Can't give you an ETA as my internet could end up taking a week to download the mod tools, but it's definitely on the way.

Awesome, now I just need a fancy pipe to go with it. The hat is just a hair too big, like 5% - 10% maybe? Looks like it might fall down across the wearer's eyes.

And i wouldn't cut in the model I aim for about 4 to 8k triangles and pack 2k^2 textures.... that's what the vanilla props are so I think it's a good "quality target" :)

Search for shader bug on reddit ... basicly u need to delete the local_shader_cach_somethink.upk in ur xcom sdk/xcomgame folder and rebuild... this thing gets 80 mb big when u "debug" via Modbudy but it only needs to be a few kb big for mods that add models.
