Remove Missing Mods

I used this mod to remove links to a missing mod, then saved the game. That save loaded fine without any warnings. Then I saved the game again and when I tried to load that subsequent save, I got the warnings for missing mods (including this one) again. Is this normal?

It's work for me but, for odd reason the Ripjack was lock-on equipped on some of my units. Is there a way to get rid of this bug?

You can keep it always loaded. There's no need to remove it after every use, it's just an option.

Ok, I give up. Where is the Avenger HUD? I checked the main view of the Avenger (where you can see all the rooms like the Bridge, Engineering, etc.), nothing. I checked the screen where you access the Bridge to view your world map, nothing. I checked the Commander's Quarters, nothing. Engineering, nothing. Armory, nothing. Research lab, nothing. Proving Grounds, nothing. Guerrilla Tactics, nothing. AWC, nothing. I went to do a supply raid and the screen where you edit your sqaud, nothing. I checked the before (on the Skyranger), while on, and after a mission (again, on the Skyranger), nothing. Checked the Main Menu, nothing. The Mod selection screen that pops up before XCOM 2 loads, nothing. Even checked Steam's XCOM 2 menu, nothing. I do believe that's EVERY screen in the game.

Good idea. This should be part of the main game. Can`t belive the Devs didn`t think of a way to remove mods you don`t want properly.

Thanks, but your thinking of the other version again. Once I finally get this updated it will be true here as well, but hasn't happened yet.

Hi , i am playing on ironman and my game started crashing because of some mods.. i found the mods, but the last save is in the mission, so does this also work in missions?

There's a decent chance this isn't working 100%. The problem that initally plagued the WotC version is still in this version – the gamestate may not be properly saving. You can try using the unbind mods button then spending 5-10 seconds on the globe letting time pass before you save.

I need to update this, which I can probably do this weekend. I have access to the original files again so it's just a matter of having time to test.

He clicked the button. If he then saved, and immediately loaded that new save, and was still warned about a missing mod? Then no, it does not work 100%.

For someone telling people to "use your fricking brain for once", you're... not doing too well on the reading-comprehension and context sections. Tell someone to use a mod that he's saying he's tried without success, in that mod's comment thread ... well. Mote, beam, &c.

I loaded old save before adding mods. Since they weren't bind to this save it will work. Lost few missions but it is ok.

Apologies, assumed this was the discussion thread for the WoTC version.

But yeah. Enable this mod and disable mod you want to remove. Launch save. Click Remove Missing Mods. Save. Exit. Disable this mod. Launch new save and play.

@alekspav86: Use the "remove missing mods"-mod. And use your fricking brain for once, it's simple logic that the mod is bound to the save, so you have to unbind it which the aforementioned mod does for you...

Sorry but I don't see point in that thread. "Bug occured with War of chosen" (which I don't have). DefaultModOptions.ini has only LW mod and that is ok.
All other mods are unsubscribed (several times) and removed from Steam folder (by steam).
I have default game launcher (skulls alien) and XCOM2ModLauncher_1.2.1 which see that there is only 1 mod and that is LW.
So by launchers everthing is cleaned and it still asks for them even those had no effect on game at all. This mod added button which couldn't help so beside LW this is second that at least showed to be loaded at least partialy.

Sorry but it doesn't work in my case. Removed mod (info above enemy hp line) because it doesn't work no matter what. Now I get message missing mod and downloaded this one to clear this mess. Aftrer selecting mod in launcher and clicking this button and confirming nothing happened. It still asks for missing mod. I verified game and no change.

Well actually I HAVE narrowed it done, good sir! The first time I had this error, I had many many more mods than I do now! I removed all the cosmetic mods and mods I assumed could not possibly affect Shadow projects. (With the exceptions of cosmetic mods that are listed as requirements of other mods)

And while this mod does not disrupt gameplay, IT DOES do a whole lot when it does its thing, so perhaps it casues some sort of clutter effect, so to speak? Regardless, I would prefer to discuss this in a civilized manner.

True, but I kinda think you somewhat misunderstood what I meant. Basically, reading the description of especially this mod would have told him that it's impossible that it could have anything to do with it. Main reason I chose to post that comment responding to his on this mod. That also could easily have ruled out other mods he posted on, since I think there was at least one cosmetic one as well.

No, I'd say it's... well, it's either a missing/mangled file or a mod conflict, and in neither case are descriptions likely to be useful. Yes, he's failing basic troubleshooting, but in this case it's not a reading-comprehension failure.

@AFK: Yeah, I think so too, but that EXACTLY is the reason for my comment. Since that kinda stuff equates to a stupid idiot in my book. That kind of person could as well have subscribed to a mod deactivating a certain feature, forgot about that, and then bother on other mods about why that is deactivated.... (dunno if that might be the case here through)

Hey, just a question, but does this mod cause issues when you research teh Codex Brain Shadow Project? When I did in my playthrough it stopped the scanning, but the cutscene did not trigger. The Decrypt Codex Brain Shadow Project was unlocked however. I was just curious if you knew anything about this XD
