It's not working for me. Doesn't show up. Tried unsubbing, resubbing and everything I could think of.
Walker Texas Ranger  [author] 30 Apr, 2017 @ 4:33am
Damn that sounds like a pain, glad you got it working though man.
grongus_ 29 Apr, 2017 @ 9:19am
Ok I unsubbed, uninstalled, deleted the leftover game files and the configuration files in my documents and then reinstalled from backup. The mods work as expected now. Thank you based Walker, Texas Ranger.

I tried resubbing and it made no difference. I also checked the folder structure and everything is as you said. I will try completely deleting the folders and reinstalling.

Also make sure they packs are activated in the mod launcher.

I updated the Foley pack last week but I doubt that has anything to do with it. Maybe try unsubscribing, waiting a sec, and then resubscribing. If that doesn't work check the following folders inside your steam directory:

steamapps\workshop\content\268500\642159768 for Soap
steamapps\workshop\content\268500\649179658 for Foley

(I'm assuming this folder path is the same for all people who use the Workshop, I really don't know)

...to see if they have the correct file structure. It should be a Config foldier with an ini file in it, a Content folder with the upk, a Localization folder with an int file and then a jpg, a readme.txt and .xcommod file.

Hope this helps.

So I installed your Captain Price voice pack, all working and a good mod overall. But then I also installed your Sgt Foley and Soap voice packs and they aren't showing up in the voices list when I go to change it. I tried changing the genders and the nationalities of the characters but that wasn't the issue. Any help would be great

Walker Texas Ranger  [author] 27 Mar, 2016 @ 10:28am
I thought the tagging system was broken. Thanks, I'll update them.
illathid 26 Mar, 2016 @ 10:12pm
Any chance you could add the voice tag to these voice packs you've completed? Could help mkae them more visible on the workshop.

I've seen other voice packs (e.g. the International Voices Pack) use languages which aren't in the base INIs (i.e. Language="russian" and Language="polish" )

How the game handles Lanaguages set like that I don't know. My guess is that a voice pack with an unknown Language will never get randomly assigned to a soldier. I think that someone would need to modify a Nationality to use a particular Language.

Whether that's even possible I don't know. I'm currently only using mods and haven't dived into the sea of modding this game yet.
Walker Texas Ranger  [author] 26 Mar, 2016 @ 10:58am
Thanks for the tip, I'll do that. Need to assign the TF2sniper as EnglishAUS.

Do you know how the languages are assigned? For instance since there's no Chinese language in the game, does the game always default them to English or can I put Language="Chinese" in there. Or does it only recognize the existing languages?
Dragon32 26 Mar, 2016 @ 10:36am
I've made a little personal edit, changing Language="english" to Language="englishUK"

That means the voice will show up on random UK and Scottish people rather than Americans and Canadians and all the other nations without specific languages set.

I made the same change to your CoD John Price and Ghost voice packs too.

You may want to consider making the change in the INIs distributed with the mod.

Thanks for all your voice packs, they're great!

Yes, funny enough I just finished Ghost and three other packs. Now I need to test them and record the preview videos which takes forever.
Old Man Basil 23 Mar, 2016 @ 6:25pm
Very nice work; was wondering, any chance you could put together a voice pack for Ghost?
kenanthebarbarian 20 Mar, 2016 @ 11:11am
Well done! Confirmed: Works on Mac.
Blindpsychic 14 Mar, 2016 @ 8:51am
Thanks for these voice packs, I like just plain operator ones I can use to add variety
Five Freddy Nights at FNAF Bear 12 Mar, 2016 @ 10:38pm
Please tell me he says "Yuri knows Makarov..." when he dies.

Fantastic voice pack, absolutely great work. I'd like to suggest you look into the MW2 U.S. Navy Seals voices, they would be a very professional voice in XCOM2
VertigoJockey 12 Mar, 2016 @ 6:49pm
@Elite0087 its just called John Price. Its important to note that the voicepack is really limited especially compared to Walker, Texas Ranger's work. I'm honestly hoping at some point he'll do a Price voicepack on this level.
Salt 11 Mar, 2016 @ 8:12am
@D-tri [FR] What is the name of the Price voice pack? I can't seem to find it.
Salt 11 Mar, 2016 @ 8:07am
Holy Crap, how could I have forgotten Soap in my list of awesome video game characters in XCOM? Great mod :D
