Just spent way too long going through my list of mods trying to figure out what was causing my crashes during cinematics and finally figured out it was this due to not being WOTC compatible.
WOTC players use the one linked a few comments below (or just search WOTC additional icons)

I think the reason why this mod is crashing everyone's game including my own is because it was intended for the Vanilla Xcom 2 and not War of the chosen.

Does not crash my game, simply does not work at all. Regular enemy health bars are displayed. Turning off health bars does not make it work - just leaves me with some kinda empty bar. And this is the only mod I have installed for the game.

So I had similar issues that other people are had; the mod wasn't working in my new campaign. I got it to work by following what Agrippa HX pasted about a page back;

For those who have problems with mods, always read the description, it happened to me that because I did not read it I did not notice what changed and I was like 2 days without being able to play because I did not know what was the reason why the game crashed .

Playing Long War 2 and this worked fine at the beginning of the campaign but after 4 saves, nope. Alt Mod Launcher does not show any conflict or duplicate. Any thoughts on how to get it running again? The ini file looks fine as well. Thanks for any help y'all can throw my way!

Yes, Tactical Legacy Pack. I've not narrowed it down yet though, since I have 160-170 mods installed. My mod manager didn't find any file conflicts though, so I'm sort of just spot checking.

They didn't show up for me in the TLC mission when they first show up with the Mutons, but i still had the placehold icon for them in the enemy display, so I was just shooting at an invisible unit.
