I think this mod messed up the soldier that appears on the menu.
Krillblade 5 Oct, 2017 @ 4:27am
For anybody asking if this works with WotC: In my case it crashed every time I tried to load in-mission-saves, but loading saves in the Avenger worked fine.
Dragon32 17 Aug, 2017 @ 12:02pm
@Madonion:
Obvious question but do you have the Resistance Warrior Pack DLC?
Madonion 17 Aug, 2017 @ 5:08am
Hi, this mod doesn't work for me, but progressive armor option works fine, how can i fix it??
[✚] SirYorange 10 Feb, 2017 @ 12:40am
Yup, we can wait. Congrats and best of luck to you, buddy.
Zyxpsilon 8 Feb, 2017 @ 4:41pm
Fine buddy... newborn (Congrats!) & that Korea move should have all the priorities of your world. Modding can wait as do i. :)
The PM  [author] 8 Feb, 2017 @ 4:29pm
Sorry, folks, but it'll be a long time before I can even try to troubleshoot what longwar2 does. I know this mod still works without long war. However, I am not playing this game currently due to a bug with the global map so I don't have much interest in lw2 yet. Also, I have a newborn now, and we are about to pack up everything for a move to Korea. Maybe after I am established there I'll get a chance to try it out again. Sorry. I've explained the process in the "less anarchy" mod on how all of my armor mods work, but I have no idea how the longwar mod is interacting with the templates from the base game or why it would screw with the armor I made for this mod for people without the resistance dlc.
Zyxpsilon 8 Feb, 2017 @ 9:06am
Hi again... is it possible that LW2 has broken this particular aspect of your Progressive systems. A lot of various other (newly adapted to LW2) Mods might now interfere with it though like; CosmeticEquipChange or even.. CovertOpsArmors, etc.
Anyhow.. i've lost the old capacity to obtain Kevlar/Predator/Warden INVentory options to list their usual "Civilian" versions as once there for extra customization features.
Hard to tell what or how something began to screw up your simple but numerous"Templates".
If possible have a quick look at the codes involved and please fix if necessary.

@The PM
UPD: Yup, this mod was the culprit. Therefore, I wanna report it. Not sure if there is some incompatibility with other installed mods or it's due to lack of DLCs or the mod itself is bugged, but here it is: it breaks tactical save/loads. Missions autofail upon loading with either "all ops are down, returning to base" loop or simply immediate fail. In the latter case, if the mission objective gets completed anyway, the mission ends as failed one.
[✚] SirYorange 4 Nov, 2016 @ 9:40pm
@Gyukyen
Does it crash in a manner of quitting the game or you autofail the missions? I have autofail issue right now and I'm still trying to find the trouble causing mod.
Ernest 17 Oct, 2016 @ 7:10am
This mod breaks my tactical save files. Any attempts to load one with this mod activated will crash the game, whether or not I've been using it previously. I am also using progressive armor options and that hasn't caused any issues.
Datu Ambatukam al-Ambasing 20 Sep, 2016 @ 8:55am
This mod still works, good work fam
The PM  [author] 18 May, 2016 @ 6:25pm
Sorry for the late repy, Dick Justice. I've tried re-publishing the mod to fix any missing files. Hopefully that clears it up.
Dick Justice 22 Apr, 2016 @ 4:38pm
I noticed that the script and content folders are empty, is this intentional?
Dick Justice 22 Apr, 2016 @ 9:49am
Also got the issue with civilian plated armour not unlocking when upgrading to plated armour.

My mod list: http://pastebin.com/x4HH4w1N
The PM  [author] 19 Apr, 2016 @ 2:55pm
Not sure, Flanker. :/ I've heard of sometimes mods not totally uninstalling correctly and people having to reset their inis. I think that entails deleting all of them in your \Documents\my games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config folder. But, I'm not positive on that method. There might be some conflict with removing the civops. I didn't have any issues on my last play through. When I get my current playthrough to upgrade, I'll see if I have the same problem.
flanker358 17 Apr, 2016 @ 7:51pm
I'm having the issue that Dennis have in my current run. I don't have plated civilian after unlocking predator armor. I have progressive armor and progressive resistance installed. Not sure what mod I have that could conflict with it, I have Halo armor, Advent armor, and symetrical kevlar arms mods. I wonder if the progressive civ ops that I unstalled way before this current run is affecting anything, but I did make sure to delete that mod folder.
SievertChaser 10 Apr, 2016 @ 3:26am
Researched Plated, bought Predator, your other mod works, the Resistance Kevlar overhaul most definitely works - I have one trooper wearing plainclothes. It's rather improbable that the Suit Up! continent bonus or the Suit Upgrading mod I have have something to do with it.
The PM  [author] 10 Apr, 2016 @ 2:59am
Damn, that sucks. When you equip the base resistance kevlar armor, do you get the civilian torsos as an option still?

I've heard of mods having lasting effects even when they are un-subbed. Hopefully the mod that caused you issues, or another mod, isn't causing the incompatibility. I haven't had any issues with it in my current playthrough and any of my testing last week on other mods. When I start my next one, I'll re-verify that it is still working. The plated civilian clothes are unlocked when predator armor is researched and using the same "key" template, so if another mod changed that somehow, that's really the only way I could see it not working.
SievertChaser 10 Apr, 2016 @ 2:52am
English. There may be Russian deep inside, but it's off.

No, I don't have the separate CivOps. All other prop packs should not touch your stuff (CnpBubs, WA, Free the Hood). I'm going through the pains of removing a crash-inducing Experimental Items Unlock mod.

I did the unsub-resub thing.
The PM  [author] 10 Apr, 2016 @ 2:40am
Hmm, weird, man. Not sure why it wouldn't work for you. I can think of two issues that might cause you problems. 1) Did you install the Progressive Options Civilian Options mod? You should NOT have both installed at the same time. 2) This is an outside chance, but I'm not sure how much localization plays into it. Are you playing in Russian or English language? If Russian, do any other mods cause you issues?
SievertChaser 10 Apr, 2016 @ 1:02am
Nope.
The PM  [author] 9 Apr, 2016 @ 5:05pm
When you upgrade to Predator armor you should also get an armor that says "Plated Civilian Clothes." When you upgrade to Warden, you should get the "Powered Civilian Clothes." You can see them if you try to chage the armor in the load out screen.
SievertChaser 9 Apr, 2016 @ 3:29pm
Where are the armour upgrades supposed to happen? I can't see any, and Resistance Kevlar has not been updated.
flanker358 3 Apr, 2016 @ 11:31pm
Thanks for responding. I think it might be because I ran both this mod and the progressive civ ops and then turned the progressive civ ops mod off after I realized from reading description I don't need them both.
The PM  [author] 3 Apr, 2016 @ 8:35pm
Honestly, I had never tested it that way :/ It works normally through an upgrade path. I'll look through the code when I get a chance and see why it wouldn't unlock like it should if you skip a tech level. I can think of a certain line of code that might be the issue. Regardless, I don't have a lot of hope for it in your current campaign.
flanker358 3 Apr, 2016 @ 8:08pm
question, do you have to unlock the plated before the powered ones show up? I skipped predator armor and unlocked the powered one, but it did not unlock the powered civilian clothes, I do have the resistance pack. or do I need to install both this and the civ op mod?
The PM  [author] 20 Mar, 2016 @ 12:43pm
Oh no. I'm sorry that happened to you. I really hope steam didn't upload the wrong version. Try unsubscribing and re-subbing. I can't verify right now, unfortunately.
ketty 20 Mar, 2016 @ 8:55am
For some reason this mod just randomly stopped working for me. I had a couple soldiers outfitted with the Predator Resistance armor and then when I loaded up a save today their armors were blank and the Resistance variant was gone. Tried deleting my config folder, no difference.
The PM  [author] 20 Mar, 2016 @ 8:02am
I don't know. I doubt it. I won't delete any of my mods for that reason. You can find the workshop folder in your steam library on your harddrive and copy and paste it into your local xcom mod folder if you were really, really concerned. Then, when the game boots, you would have to choose the mod from the workshop or from your local computer (you can tell them apart because the steam workshop ones have the steam icon). That's probably confusing...
Okami 20 Mar, 2016 @ 7:57am
Thanks a lot :) that's exactly what I was looking for but I will still use your tech tier weopon mod since it seems more stable. Keep up the good work. Just for my information, since I'm a bit new to steamworkshop. what will happen if for *any reasons* you delete your mod ? Will I keep a copy of it ?
The PM  [author] 20 Mar, 2016 @ 7:47am
I guess that is confusing... you would only use my Three Tier Weapons if you _wanted_ to be able to see plasma at tier 1. You probably want something in the middle of my Three Tier Weapons and the Rectroactive Upgrades Mod. His mod might be more to your liking. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=630101688&searchtext=retroactive
Okami 20 Mar, 2016 @ 7:44am
sorry for confusion the "unlocked skin without unlock tech tier" was about your weapon mod.
Okami 20 Mar, 2016 @ 7:39am
Anyway awesome mod. and so for very compatible AND localized :) Now I can stick to my beloved kevlar tier skin
The PM  [author] 20 Mar, 2016 @ 7:39am
That's because you are using another mod that unlocks all of the options. I don't recommend those type of mods with my mods because it just adds more to it. If you want it like you said, I would remove whatever mod you installed (Probably d o o d i l s or the Armor Variety mod) and just use my mods.
Okami 20 Mar, 2016 @ 7:37am
Thanks. is there a way to tied availabilty of skin to unlocked tech tier ?
I wish I could't see plasma skin until I actualy unlock plasma tech
Do you know how to do it ?
The PM  [author] 20 Mar, 2016 @ 7:21am
I went ahead and split the mods. Now, this is the mod that adds the civillian torsos to the base resistance kevlar. Makes this completely mod completely stand alone.
The PM  [author] 20 Mar, 2016 @ 6:08am
You can get away with just this mod if you use something other than my Progressive Armor Mod to unlock looks. If you're the type that uses my mod because you don't like looking through 30+torsos at a time, this works perfectly. If you don't use PA, the only downside to this mod is that at first tier, you wont have the other civilian torsos, you'll just have the resistance ones (because that mod had already unlocked them). The plated and powered level armors will have all of the civilian torsos to the mix. I can see now, that I should probably pull those first level torsos to this mod and then it'll be completely separated from the original mod. That will have to wait until next week though, as I am out of town for the week,
Okami 20 Mar, 2016 @ 5:51am
As I understand, this mod is the base "Progressive Armor Options Mod" + Resistance warior support. Should i get the base mod too ? or it's a bundle ?
Bandrix 19 Mar, 2016 @ 1:43pm
@The PM okay i can understand that, thank you for answering, looking forward to any new updates from you.
The PM  [author] 19 Mar, 2016 @ 8:40am
Sure, if you go to C:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500\630067484\Config\XComContent.ini towards the bottom is a section that is called "Civlian clothing for resistance pack." If you copy that section and paste it into C:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\workshop\content\268500\646877636\Config\XComContent.ini you should get them all with this mod. You might have to do that again if I update this mod in the future, but updates for this particular mod should be few and far between.
Procyon 19 Mar, 2016 @ 8:26am
It adds plated and kevlar parts to the higher tiers armors, thats why I'm not using it or any other mod that does it. Plus the civilian variants of the powered/plated in that mod lacks the resistance torsos and overrides this mod.

Can you be more specific of which bits of which .ini file?
The PM  [author] 19 Mar, 2016 @ 8:14am
@Procyon, My original mod already does that. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=630067484 Even if you don't use the mod, you could easily copy the ini bits at the end of it and add it to this one.

@Bandrix, There might be a few I update on my original mod but, honestly, there is very little I like about the DLC. I'm actually working on a mod that disables most of it and keeps a couple of the good ones. I haven't looked to see if there were any new civilian torsos to add to this one, I think it was all just parts and pieces where it would make more sense for me to update the original Progressive Armor or make a compatibility mod.
Procyon 19 Mar, 2016 @ 7:07am
can you add the civilian clothing to the kevlar resistance armor?
Bandrix 19 Mar, 2016 @ 6:22am
very nice, will you do the same for the anarchys children?
Arkan 18 Mar, 2016 @ 6:20pm
Very Nice!
Zyxpsilon 17 Mar, 2016 @ 9:21am
Thank you for "isolating" this extra Resistance/Civilians feature from the regular Armors (Kevlar+Predator+Powered) structure... if anything, it (finally) allowed me to determine exactly what caused all of these silly "Clipping" issues when trying to put Civ stuff on some tricky soldiers; another mod conflicted with the game itself and/or your more solid approach to perform a similar task --- **NPC Clothing..** (DLC0 Content folder spoofing of key files)!

The only remaining stubborn flaw still is how the Character Pool handles transition copies (of custom Torso+Legs+Arms) and its consistant refusal to maintain our pre-defined (with cool Civ clothing for storyline purposes!) special soldiers... cross-fingers some genius coder will find a fix for that stuff -- eventually!
badassgrunt 17 Mar, 2016 @ 8:39am
Yes, I do.
The PM  [author] 17 Mar, 2016 @ 7:13am
I'm not sure what I would have that would conflict unless you have another armor mod that possibly creates a "MediumPlatedArmor_DLC_Day0" template. Another outside conflict might be if you are running the retroactive mod, then I can try to a quick fix even though I doubt it is conflicting. You do have the Resistance DLC, right?
badassgrunt 17 Mar, 2016 @ 7:08am
I think it's a mod that's confliciting with this one.
