These elevatorss are nice... The glass is not vizible, but that's not the problem, the problem is its too slow. Making it a bit faster would be perfect!

@MegaManX try "VCZ Multifloor Elevator" (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1154898843) . It'll do up to 9 stops and you select which decks, so you could have one run to just the stops where the other 9-floor elevator begins, like some office buildings do. However, it has to be moved to your very first mod or it'll cause a lot of crashes -- and if it's in the first mod position, it'll only cause *some* crashes.

I like Eikester's better because it's more stable and I don't have a 32-deck monstrous ship to deal with.

@MegaManX the problem is that the current elevator is basically a heavily modified door-type block (if I remember correctly) hence why it only has a single switch for controls. So an entirely new mod would probably be required for DIY elevators (I recommend the Transporters mod otherwise and use small transporter pads as a pseudo-elevator).

The problem I have is that I have a 32 deck starship and would like to reduce the number of elevators. I'd love to see a Door Block(stopping point) and a shaft block(non-stopping). With a simple call switch on the outside and with up/down buttons in the cab.

I think a fifty block 2-floor elevator would be useful for really tall structures.

@Biotoxic stand inside, move to the front right corner of the elevator and turn left, keep pressing F until you hear it beep. It takes practice but that's the quick way to do it while the inside button is being fixed. Or you use the terminal if you have an antenna on the grid and control it through there.

someone may have already asked this way down below, but is there a way to pick your desired floor for the multi-level one? That would be pretty cool and useful

i am going to update this mod next to fix some smaller issues, like the buttons not working. Also i think i found a way to have it travel faster without clipping trough the floor, i already have a rough prototype script ready and tested with 5-500m/s without any issues in my sp testworld but of course need to test this in multiplayer etc, i dont promise anything but it looks good so far

Nice Work! it will be cool, if there is an elevator to 5 or 6 blocks high and only 2 floors (ground,top) and faster travel ;)

yep the interior button no longer works. Still think it would be far more stable to lock the occupant when moving too.

One fatal flaw I noticed is that the inside elevator button doesn't work, on the 4x1x1 as far as I know.

So cool. : ) I was just thinking of the days before pistons and it's amazing to see how people even made elevators. Now with this awesome mod, pistons look extremely hard. Thanks!

Nice mod ! i used it on my DS and it's really cool but can be a bit more faster can be cool and maybe a "custom"elevator like 1 block for cabine and 1 for the "tube" x) cause the tall one is cool but we don't always need the second floor only the first and third :x .

you can make the same elevators but on big height? Interests me at the length from 5 to 10 BUT with stops floor only below and in the top.
Simply it is the only beautiful elevator working NOT at pistons. But are long obviously isn't enough. So if you can add to the fashions of a variation from 5-10 by height but without intermediate stops - that I would be simply happy.

Works great on Server. So far no Problems with it. A suggestion about the Oxygen: What if you fill it with oxygen?

Modular would be great, if possible. May be a lot of work on your end, but it will save you fromhaving to make a dozen (or more) sizes. Maybe this would allow it to be customizable so the elevator does not stop on all floors in between origin and destination.

Great mod by the way, I love it.

how about making it modular as others have suggested her but also if possible have it so the door level could be renamed and the script could then be set so you could assign a button to a floor so the elevator would go direct to that floor like a real elevator instead of calling at every floor with a door

I agree with WTG gaming. A modular elevator would alow for customization by th user and would ake for a more streamlined mod via only neding the tube modules and the elevator itself.
