Wanted to use the voice with a certain templar helmet, but unfortunately seems like it doesn't work for them.
Mirador 25 Jul, 2021 @ 8:16pm
The voice is so quite compared to the rest of the game, and especially compared to other voice packs. Either can't hear this one or get deafened anytime anyone else speaks.
Dr.Awful 6 Feb, 2019 @ 2:56pm
Great there comes realy good memory back from this game, can not wait for the new versions in the future.
Myrkr 14 Mar, 2018 @ 1:14pm
hello, i have a little question.
It's possible of change the voice in french?
Maximum Broly! 30 Jan, 2018 @ 12:40am
tdc, you mind doing a wotc "spark" version for those of us afraid of screwing up the code if we manually do the tutorial?
Vasya Cobra  [author] 16 Sep, 2017 @ 2:29am
Hi Sirabot, yes unfortunately Firaxis have changed the way voice packs work with SPARKs. If I update my mods to work with SPARKs, they stop working for normal soldiers.

However there is a very simple way to make this mod SPARK compatible yourself as I explain here:
https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/650101867/392184342870242424/#c1474222595304367589

Then if you ever want to revert back to use the mod of normal soldiers, either remove that added text or redownload the mod files from here. Hope that helps.

This isn't working for Sparks in WoTc. In fact most voice mods for Sparks aren't working except the 2 that have been updated. I'd really like to utilize this one however :p
AkumulatoR 11 Sep, 2017 @ 1:09pm
You're right. It's not a good idea, it's an awesome idea.
Pondera the Radio Angel 8 Sep, 2017 @ 10:07pm
Getting an omnicidal computer AI and jamming it into a robot literally armed to the teeth with all the best weapons XCOM scientists can dream up? THAT doesn't sound like a good idea.
Kensei 4 Sep, 2017 @ 6:15pm
They don't make female characters like this anymore. Such a shame.
raven898 2 Sep, 2017 @ 1:40am
So awesome, I love it :)

Definitely using this for sparks!
Erinaceus [Swe] 12 Jan, 2017 @ 11:45pm
tdc733: Made it much better, ty. I still feel some lines are too quiet but it's lines heavy with S:es, so maybe the hissing quality of her voice makes it hard on my speakers/ears.

I was treated to the pure awesome of having her kill a chryssalid and hiss 'Insssect' xD
Vasya Cobra  [author] 11 Jan, 2017 @ 2:17am
@Erinaceus [Swe]: Perhaps try deleting the mod and redownloading. The audio files for the mod are normalised with the vanilla voice files, meaning they are the same volume.
Erinaceus [Swe] 11 Jan, 2017 @ 12:39am
I LOVE the premise of this mod. Unfortunatey I feel it's often far too quiet compared to vanilla voices and other voicepacks I use. Listening to the audio in the video above I'm not sure why that is, because I often can't hear her at all.

iZq: There is one of CABAL, Nod's AI from Tiberian sun.
Bulkhead Activation Switch 6 Jan, 2017 @ 5:15pm
it would be pretty nice if someone made a voice pack for the many as well.
izq 21 Dec, 2016 @ 4:49pm
besides GLaDOS and SHODAN are there any other AI voices? I was thinking AUNTIE DOT from Halo Reach that kind of stuff maybe even Ghost from Destiny? I'd be awesome to make an AI A-Team squad.
Emperor503 21 Dec, 2016 @ 9:22am
one of my fav... the emperor Palpatine is also amazing
Nachtrose 24 Oct, 2016 @ 2:11pm
Soo... imagine a SPARK heavy squad with Julian, GLaDOS and S.H.O.D.A.N. voices...
(2^5)*41 2 Oct, 2016 @ 12:23am
Please tell there'll be an IHNMAIMS one, too
Teiau 16 Aug, 2016 @ 5:19pm
Loaded Shodan in a SPARK. Now I'm afraid of it.
Toyota_Merv_73 14 Aug, 2016 @ 6:25am
Shodan voice on the SPARK mech ? ...Wonderful... Nice job tdc
Vasya Cobra  [author] 14 Aug, 2016 @ 3:19am
Hi Valikdu, the robot (SPARK) does have a voice and this Shodan pack can be used with it :)
Valikdu 14 Aug, 2016 @ 3:03am
I haven't palyed shen's last gift yet... does the robot have a voice there, and can it be customized to this?
Impavide 26 Jul, 2016 @ 7:56pm
Oh fuck yes!
plekobius 16 Jul, 2016 @ 1:42pm
This is great ! Just enjoying sh*t out of this !
Vasya Cobra  [author] 15 Jul, 2016 @ 2:06pm
Thanks for the kind comments, glad you are enjoying it!
[Aerwulf] Krodan Aeron 15 Jul, 2016 @ 1:46pm
Fantastic, Every game needs more SHODAN, at least 100% improvement possible anywhere she goes. Thank you for this, so much.
B0atsMcG0ats 14 Jul, 2016 @ 11:06pm
Now I can field a squad of completely insane AI. Julian, GLaDoS, SHODAN, Wheatley and HAL 9K
Zigg Price 9 Jul, 2016 @ 4:26pm
This is easily my favorite voice pack to use for SPARKS or Advent Mecs (back when I used Playable Aliens.)
Vasya Cobra  [author] 9 Jul, 2016 @ 2:44pm
Update #2 released:
- 46 new quotes added
- More actions on the battlefield will play a Shodan quote (Psi characters are now fully voiced, etc)
- Volume levels reduced as requested

Remember to support Nightdive Studios' remake of the original System Shock:

Vasya Cobra  [author] 3 Jul, 2016 @ 9:10am
Ok try now, it hopefully should work for Sparks units now.
Vasya Cobra  [author] 3 Jul, 2016 @ 7:29am
Oh when I said about helping I only meant testing and possibly letting me know Sparks skill names (e.g. like "Domination" is a Psi skill). Thanks for the link though, I will try to get this updated!
Zigg Price 3 Jul, 2016 @ 7:20am
I don't ahve any mod knowledge, but once it is working, I can test it. A small .ini edit actually opens it up to be used as a SPARKS voice pack, but you might have to do a little work with some new sound cues, as there might be SPARKS only actions that are not covered by the standard sound cues. You can find the information on the .ini edits here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xcom/comments/4qytp7/so_you_want_your_hk47gladoswheatleylegionwhatever/
Over on the MEC voice pack, they are working on something else, I think, to integrate voices with SPARKS units, and the people discussing it over there have more mod knowledge than I. You might inquire with one of them.
Vasya Cobra  [author] 3 Jul, 2016 @ 6:56am
Hi Anomaly, I wasn't even aware there was a new class! That shouldn't be a problem to update, however as I do not own the DLC I won't be able to test it (and I might need assistance with what skills/actions Sparks have and what these do). Would you be able to help at all?
Zigg Price 3 Jul, 2016 @ 6:21am
Any chance for an update to use this with Sparks?
Majoras 18 May, 2016 @ 2:58pm
@tdc733 No worries man no rush. I was just curious as I loved System Shock 2 as a kid and the voice was just perfect for a psi soldier. It's always a shame when you come across an awesome voice pack, but it ends up being so load and out of place. Keep up the good work :)
Vasya Cobra  [author] 18 May, 2016 @ 2:46pm
@Majoras Vox: Yeah of course! I'm going through all my mods at the moment and updating them so I will alter the volume when I get to this one. I still need to add a bunch more quotes too, I've just been a bit distracted with other stuff recently, hence the delay.
Majoras 18 May, 2016 @ 2:27pm
@tdc733 Anychance you could bring the volume down a little? It's a lot louder than other voice packs.
Iamnuff 23 Apr, 2016 @ 11:42am
I guess I need playable Codex now.
Vasya Cobra  [author] 19 Apr, 2016 @ 2:20pm
Yeah skirmish mode was so fun! Thanks for the info, I will check it out :)
Magicul 17 Apr, 2016 @ 9:10am
I, for my part, grew up with red alert 2. I loved the weird setting with all the fancy cinematics and the fact that you could play in some sort of sandbox mode in skirmish ( I was 7/8 years old when i first played this game and i never really had anything to do with pc games at that age...)

After some years and my investment in the first decade anniversary edition I'd eventually came to play through the tiberium saga and have to say that the lore in general is much more "serious" than that of red alert saga. (depends on how much "seriousness" a sci-fi enviroment could deliver at that time.) The cinematics felt and looked less childish in my opinion especially with the german dubs of ra2. If I were to decide between these two universes today, I could not choose a winner. I would definitly recommend playing the games or at least watch some Let's Play / the cinematics. Except Tiberian Twilight, thank EA for killing the series with the last installment.

Voice packs actually require little experience in modding (I had minimal experience when I started). There's lots of great guides for it, and it can all be done with free software (other than XCOM 2 obviously). It is more time consuming that difficult. Most of my time is spent gathering and editing audio clips, I actually only spend a small amount of time in the modding tools.

Sounds pretty interesting though! Would you say Tiberian Sun is as good/better than Red Alert? I may have to play it if so.
Magicul 13 Apr, 2016 @ 2:07pm
Hm, that's a pity and I have actually 0 experience modding xcom 2. I would appreciate your help but I can assure you it would consume too much of your time teaching me even essential stuff.

I will have to go through that on my own if I really want to see this happening.

In terms of CABAL's lore: he made his first (visual) appearance in Tiberian Sun which came out in 1999. (2nd installment of the tiberium wars saga.) In the game he was used by NOD as their tactical, logistical and global communications coordinating console and as an advisor for the higher ranked personal. Unlike the GDI's AI E.V.A. CABAL was sentient and Kane gave him a mind of his own. After reactivating CABAL in the firestorm expansion he started to go nuts and follow his own plans which included killing off some of the highest ranked NOD members and assimilating every reachable human into his cyborg programm. (small summary with big lacks)
Vasya Cobra  [author] 13 Apr, 2016 @ 1:36pm
Thanks MAGICUL :) I've only ever played Red Alert back in the day so I'm not familiar with C.A.B.A.L. I'm afraid (guessing that it's in one of the newer entries?). Regardless, I'm pretty busy atm with life stuff unfortunately. I've got a few mods in the works which I'll slowly get around to releasing, but I doubt I'll be starting a new one for quite a while. Sorry about that. If you want to have a go at creating it yourself I've be more than happy to give you some tips :)
Magicul 13 Apr, 2016 @ 12:27pm
Very well done!
And since you went in that direction might I ask if you plan to make a voice pack of C&Cs C.A.B.A.L. too?
I know he might not have as many lines as System Shock's artificial intelligence but i think it would make a great addition to the game. Would absolutely love to see it.
Nonetheless you did a great job with the voice pack.
Vasya Cobra  [author] 12 Apr, 2016 @ 1:37pm
Cheers guys :D
