Jannasaries estate for Ottomans is still active. Is there a fix to get rid of them?

You are correct. It should work without any problems until they rework estates into something pretty different.
I don't "update" it mostly because it requires EU4 installed which I don't have for couple of years now.

\/ following up on this i believe it will never cause problems. from the game mechanics it's safe to assume all this mod does is run a few lines of code at the start of any save that removes every estate since estate removal is an in-game mechanic

Spontaneously updated to 1.28, also supported Indian estates from 1.26. Could not reproduce issue with flagships as I do not own that DLC.
Estates are being reworked anyway so I'm not sure that this mod would still be needed (hopefully not, it still feels stupid to have something like that).

This mod breaks flagships, no idea how or why, doesn't seem like it would touch it in any way.

I'm pretty certain, tried it a dozen times on/off, any time it's on the 3 customization slots for flagships are occupied by question marks and can't be selected.

@wavy blue lines Why is it weird? It's not like estates are an absolutely essential part of the game. It's a divisive feature, and some players prefer not having to deal with them.

its weird that theres an entire mod to cut out an entire mechanic of the game, btw the estates arent just for the cossacks anymore, theyre in the base game

Thank you SO much for this mod. With the Dharma update I was suddenly forced to play with Estates which I hate. Mod works fine now in my older save game but please do update for v1.26

I started a new game after getting the Cossacks DLC and estates were ENABLED and when I reloaded an saved game i had prior to getting the DLC and estates were DISABLED. Weird but cool
Edit: weirdly enough it switched itself on after some time. So I guess I now have to deal with the estates.

I did try starting serveral games. same thing each time. estates are still there. imght try redownloading the mod see if that helps.

I might be, in my testing it took AI some tome to even remove the estates initially. Thus I would recomemend starting a new game. For some reason even estates button stays active in existing games, as it didn't do before.

Not sure if its just me, but there are still burgers and clergy estates in my games. the decision removes all their land, but then i get the pop up about estates wanting more land. Due to this, AI is constantly giving land to estates then taking the decision to remove.

Thank you! I feel like Paradox only added estates as another level of difficulty/annoyance. Wish they'd include more options in the start menu like "Disable Estates", "Reduce Hunting Accidents and Comets" and "Jesus Christ can someone please turn Ming down a notch, you guys know they collapsed IRL, right?"
