yeah this mod instantly crashes your game... they need to update with new DLC

tried to use this mod and my game crashed i was trying to hack a laptop from distance with a gremlin (game totaly freeze up and crashed)

think im gone remove this class the concept is good but if it cant do what is ment to do euh or i just hit that spot that makes the game crash.

@wolfen if you had looked at the third comment down from yours you would have seen that the author has said there will be no LWPerkPack version of this mod. So no update is currently in the works. Shame but I understand.

So I'm not sure if it's this mod, but I used commanders choice to make my soldier into a codebreaker class, and then she dissapeared from my soldier list! :(

Somehow she showed up on my loadout screen on the next tactical mission, but now shes gone! The med kit she had is so longer available, and I can't equip any utility items on her. I can still select her on lists like soldier fatigue though.. Any help?!

No, I will be removing all classes from the main mod and will leave this class as it is. Anyone is welcome to use any part of this mod in another mod.

Just going to jump in here and say that I always make one squad that has a few classes that know phantom because they let me stay concealed on missions that don't normally have it. Retailiation missions being the big ones.

Not just specialists, mind you. Think it was just that no one outside of rangers (among vanilla anyway) are meant to have great synergy with stealth, which makes sense, and anyone who does use stealth is likely to have it anyway. A stealth hacker does sound fun, but don't think it really matches this class so well - this one's a support offensive or defensive class, not a stealth class.

From what I've seen of the core game they have now restricted specialists from receiving Phantom from the AWC so even firaxis don't want to fix it, I will probably remove it and replace it with something else soon.

Hi :) I've been using this class from day one and love it. It occurred to me when leveling a codebreaker today that I never use the phantom skill. I was wounder what you and others might think of changing it's name and extending it so non-combat gremlin skills like hacking (successfully) and healing do not break stealth?

Weird, didn't think I had anything that'd do that, and only seemed to happen with your class. Oh well, will keep an eye out for what might cause it and update if I find anything.

Most likely, anything that gives rookies 50 hacking instead of 5 would be my first thought.

I'd expected it to be rather better, but starting with 105 hack after a level up is a bit extreme. Seems perfectly balanced with the EW bonus as a powerful hacker though, well above what specialists can reach - with just +5 at the first level up.

it is meant to be better at hacking than specialist who get 45 on the first level, combining this mod with spectrum is not intended.

Noticed a small thing that I assume is a bug - the normal setting in the ini file for the class give it +55 hack on its first level up. Since all the others are only +5, and it already starts with 50 hack, it felt a tad OP in the hacking department. :P

recallis01, thanks for the post, but the XcomClassdata.ini file does not contain custom classes. Do you know the file name and location for Spectrum's Codebreaker Class? Thanks again

For mod classes to wear armor you have to this line in your XComClassdata.ini file:
+AllowedArmors="soldier"
that should fix it.

i didn't think so and I only started have problems when I began a second playthrough with my favorite mods installed. But gotta start troubleshooting somewhere. I just noticed I have another odd bug where when i promote a soldier the skill is activated and useable but when I promote to Lt. it forgets the previous promotion happened and I can promote them twice. I got 1 Sharpshooter with both Deadeye and Lightening Hands enabled. It's a beneifical bug for sure. Unless you programed Codebreaker so well it became sentient and is screwing with me I think my game must be really borked up. Anyway, Thanks for the response and thanks for the mod!

I don't belive so this mod has not altered or even approached combat protocol in any meaningful way. The closest it does it define that the codebreakers 1st perk choice includes Combat Protocol.

i've had this odd issue and I can't place which mod could be doing it, if any, but I've noticed my Specialists Combat Protocol isn't causing damage to enemies instead it is 100% of the time causing them to panic. Now it was funny to see a turret 'panic' but I really needed the extra damage to robotic enemies. I only have mods that add new classes not ones that alter the defaults unless Codebreaker mod does alter the affects of Specialists but I don't think this mod is supposed to do that. Hell, it could be another class mod doing it (I have Codebreaker, Necromance and Tropper) but since Codebreaker and Specialist share some abilities I wonder if this mod somehow bugged out. Anyone with a clue?

Someone just made a mod where the specialists' gremlins can pick up items ... I wonder, could it be incorporated into this class?

Great mod, synergizes with teams that use the Field Medic mod too.

After playing a round [Legend] I have to say this class is really well done. As anyclass, tweaks to abilities can be made as DLCs and Expantions filter end, I say all that...Well done and I look 4ward to what you do next besides bug fixes n all

Is the Gremlin Conceal bug still an issue? -> Conceal does not conceal the Gremlin and is therefore pointless.
