So here's my point. Not saying your second map is dumb in any way, just saying this map has more content. Maybe if you added more to the second map, I'd like it more.

5. There's multiple secrets in the first one, a secret room in the BULK of the ship! And there's a hidden combine base, with a self-destruct button, while 2 only has a secret cabin in one of the engines while kind of cool, two secrets beats one. 6. more to do in the first! At least 20 minutes could be used finding all the secrets, defeating antlions and combine if you're SPEEDRUNNING and know everything! 2 takes only 5 mins to see the whole map!

I think this is better than the second one. Much much better, because 1. more planets, more than just a boring earth-like planet and a moon 2. the ship has more space in it, many different rooms, even a communications to the planet where the combines are on! 3. NPCs. They change the whole thing, plus the antlions and vortigaunt. 4. A hangar that can fit things in it, I could fit at least 3 dropship containers without stacking one on another. What's the second one's hangar going to fit? ONE apc? 5.
