sTiKyt 7 Feb, 2021 @ 7:48am
They just steal ur mods and sell them for money -__-

Mod update:

- added a toolbar sprite so the object isn't stretched in the utilities menu.
LuckyNascarcat24 29 Nov, 2019 @ 6:56pm
They can be placed over drains so that’s good
murgh  [author] 29 Nov, 2019 @ 4:37pm
Powerstations explode when wet but perhaps it's moddable, never tested that.
LuckyNascarcat24 29 Nov, 2019 @ 4:09pm
Is it possible to allow drains on the panels so pouring rain can’t cause a explosion and kill staff

Mod update:

- Solar panels can only be used outdoors.
murgh  [author] 29 Jun, 2019 @ 9:59am
I'm not sure if I ever looked and that and it turned out to be not possible, due to restricted valid parameters for the powerstation object - or that I never tried.

Great mod, just a suggestion: dont allow solaw power indoors, shouldnt work xD
murgh  [author] 25 Jul, 2018 @ 4:20pm
Having more than 1 is not a problem, just don't connect them and make sure they have enough capacitors. It's just a powerstation with another sprite, nothing more nothing less.

@murgh
First off, thanks for your excellent work on mods! I was just wondering if it's possible to have multiple solar panels running? Currently only using your "Combipack for PA14". In my current save, I was however unable to get my 2nd solar panel running. As soon as I tried turning it on, the other one would shut down, and their respective electrical networks were not connected (two separate sides of the map).

@Murgh

Oh, Im sorry then. I just never expected an object to be a hardcoded thing :O

I hope they'll maybe change it in the future
murgh  [author] 14 Sep, 2017 @ 1:46pm
Blame the game, not the mod. I've tried using both, but it doesn't work. Power stations are too much hard coded.
Homuya 14 Sep, 2017 @ 12:24pm
Pretty retarded that it replaces the generator...great mod regardless though <3 but still silly that I can't use both >:
murgh  [author] 30 Jan, 2017 @ 12:21pm
@Nuke disable the mod in your list of active mods in the menu and/or delete the mod from your mods folder, there is nothing to fix for me. Your mods folder and saved games won't be wiped when you reinstall the game. Campain maps already have a power station so the warning in blue above applies.

@nochees, see answer below, this question has been answered already.

I do love this mod and it is a great idea/creation but I have come accross some problems that kinda stop the game working well (eg. campaign power doesn't work, bit of lag). Even after reinstalling the entire game and unsubbing to the mod it still appears in the utilities list. Please fix this. Other than that, though, great job!
Nocheese4u 29 Jan, 2017 @ 4:39pm
Would it be possible to add this to the game as an alternative power option instead of replacing the generator? I wanna use both.

A demo map featuring this mod (and several others) is available over here:

Thanks :)

This power station fits perfectly on a large map as you can see in this preview shot of a large demo map coming soon: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=714817878
Faleshar 27 Jun, 2016 @ 3:14pm
nice mod
Denneisk 22 Jun, 2016 @ 1:49pm
Thought so. Still, amazing mod. I really needed the power.
murgh  [author] 22 Jun, 2016 @ 11:52am
They will short out: it's just a replacement of the sprite, not the way how it works. But you can still make rows with a tile in between, as long as you watch the wiring :p
Denneisk 22 Jun, 2016 @ 11:07am
Could you make huge solar arrays of 2-6 rows of solar generators or do they still act like normal generators and cannot be connected or they short out?
Mr.Dbaggy 4 Jun, 2016 @ 9:23am
Now all we need are SOLAR FREAKEN ROADWAYS
krissynull 3 Jun, 2016 @ 11:45am
Does this replace the current power station or is this a new object?
murgh  [author] 21 May, 2016 @ 12:30pm
There can only be 1 power station in the game, thus this one is replacing the original one. So same definition, but just another sprite with another width/height value. Kinda like those ugly stretched out noobthings indeed, only better. So yea it should work with events I guess.
Mr. Bear 21 May, 2016 @ 12:28pm
I almost forgot, is this power station susceptible to the power station related random events?
Mr. Bear 21 May, 2016 @ 12:27pm
I see... My prison has 7 power stations and its a mess of cables, been looking for a power station mod, but most of them are just the regular power station stretched out, which isn't really appealing to me, this will most likely to the trick for me. Thanks.
murgh  [author] 21 May, 2016 @ 12:24pm
Besides that it delivers way more power than the default power station, ideal for huge prisons which can be quite power hungry.
Mr. Bear 21 May, 2016 @ 11:54am
So each if i understand correctly: Each panel is 16x2 and it behaves like a regular power stationg the difference being a more eco-friendly feel-good presentation
