Would it be possible to get a mod that prevents only the AI from confederating? I plan on playing Bretonnia and fighting the other Bretonnian factions severely penalizes the player.

It's pure scripts in my case as that felt cleaner and allowed me to do a is_human check.

Are there any chance to make another version of this mode but to let Bretonnia's nations only to confederate. Think their gameplay is heavily depends on confederation. Love your mods but These new factions feels a bit useless without the option to confederate with the others especially when half of their techtree is aiming to that.

Its possible he changed the CAI diplomatic values but it would affect the player's ability to get confederations too, in theory. Otherwise its possible he scripted it

I agree with Averath - would be nice to have (if possible at all) a version that simply denies confed to the AI, but keeps it for the player. Thing is I'd personally love playing Empire, and hate expanding territory by force, I prefer to confederate slowly, and not even with all factions, I rather have other Empire-factions around too.

But it is so annoying that dwarves or orcs etc just merge and merge and merge....I guess the only way now is to activate/deactivate the no confed-mod ...

Is there a way to make is so that a player (both players if playing a co-op or vs campaign) can confederate, but the AI cannot?

It's kind of annoying for the AI to confederate with 4-5 factions by turn 10, but it takes an absurdly long time for the player to confederate just once.

I am playing a clan Angrund campaign and I got to a point where Karaz Ankhor had essentially taken all regions around Karak Eight Peaks due to my cocktail of mods. Used this mod and it completely change the game and means the Orcs have a chance now. Can't thank you enough

I love this Mod! Played 4 games as the Bloody Hands with Wurrzag and got steamrolled everytime due to the Dwarves confederating with 2 other dwarf factions, effectively giving them control of an entire quarter of the world map before I could even take out my neighbors... Not sure if anyone else has been having the same problem as me but this buys me some time and thats all I needed. Thanks!

You can change the effect bundle for unlocking the LL's, in this mod, just for KF so that it doesn't cause issues.

Not sure if you feel like that's a big enough of a deal

Do you know, if you want to make confederations lock for a certain number of turns, is that in the confederation effect bundles table under "turns"? Default is 5 turns.

So if you want to unlock karl franz, you need to start your campaign as him? cuz otherwise you couldnt confederate and you wouldnt be able to get him.

I prefer to play with no confederations, but starting empire with Gelt you then cant get Franz because his "unlock" is you confederating with somebody.

Any idea how to unlock Franz/change his unlock reason (via editsf or alternative?)

Hi ! It is possible to make the confederations really harder for the AI and the player ? Cause when a faction loose their armies he can confederate so easy, it's better to have confederations but really hard to do. (When you can crush his faction easy and he can't defend anything, not when he just have no army.)

Hi Dresden, I'm a fan of all your mods from Rome 2, many thanks for your excellent work.

I've been using this mod since a time ago, since although I like the confederations system, I think it's too easy to get them. However, it is also a shame to invade your most loyal allies if you want to expand your empire, as in the case of Bretonnian factions or dwarves. So I would like to ask you a question ...

What is the table that controls the difficulty of achieving a confederation?

My intention is create a mod that would make achieving a confederacy was very very difficult, but possible, and require a very good diplomatic relations and / or military power far superior ...

This is possible?

What variables should change to ensure that the confederations were very difficult to achieve?
