The WOTC version linked in the comment below yours does
krumiro 23 May, 2018 @ 6:25am
Great Idea. Does it work for the Truck-Battery of the Chosen Mega-Gun in the Chosen-Avenger Defense Mission?
Mr. Nice 8 Nov, 2016 @ 4:16am
Done the change, thanks.
thegrimsqueaker72  [author] 7 Nov, 2016 @ 4:00pm
Yes.
Jabel 7 Nov, 2016 @ 2:45pm
Assuming: XComCantStealthRelays.ini add line "+IgnoredAbilities=Killzone"

Correct?
thegrimsqueaker72  [author] 7 Nov, 2016 @ 11:39am
Not sure when I'll be able to update, so for now you should add 'Killzone' to IgnoredAbilities in the ini yourself.
Mr. Nice 7 Nov, 2016 @ 9:04am
Found a bug: A sniper dropping a Kill Zone cone which includes the Relay immediately causes activation of nearby pods.
Meatbang 5 Oct, 2016 @ 9:35pm
Didn't know I wanted this, but now that I see it I for sure do.

Great work mate.

That's a graphics glitch with the game. Nothing to do with mods (correct me if I'm wrong please).
thegrimsqueaker72  [author] 15 Jun, 2016 @ 3:34pm
This mod doesn't even touch graphics (or modify visiblity/fog of war) and if something conflicted the most that would happen is that my stuff wouldn't take effect. Don't know how to help you.
Panopticon 15 Jun, 2016 @ 2:22pm
I probably have some mod that glitches out like that whenever something similar to it is installed.
Panopticon 15 Jun, 2016 @ 2:20pm
I'm not sure, I have about 138. All I know is that something's conflicting with this mod, somehow. This isn't the first time it's occurred.

I should've elaborated that earlier.
thegrimsqueaker72  [author] 15 Jun, 2016 @ 11:54am
Are you sure it's this mod? Because the only change I've added is an event listener for when the relay is targeted.
Panopticon 15 Jun, 2016 @ 11:25am
With this mod enabled, the map spazzes out in random colors of green and pink, and I can see the whole map structure without the fog of war.
thegrimsqueaker72  [author] 6 Jun, 2016 @ 7:03pm
That would be a tad more complicated than the mod's current functionality (because it's easy to tell when a relay is created and it's a stationary object that exists solely to take damage), and is not something I would want to be a part of this particular mod.

Maybe find a way of extending this to any alien unit at all? They should be reacting to seeing their friends being sniped on the same street as them.
thegrimsqueaker72  [author] 31 May, 2016 @ 9:46pm
Well it was a call for help of sorts (I think), just not a relevant one...
Dim99 30 May, 2016 @ 7:09pm
That's quick fixing, thanks a lot!
Thought about about it like being a shout out for help from the first pod but the guys guarding the Relay would not abandon their post, right? ;)
thegrimsqueaker72  [author] 30 May, 2016 @ 6:11pm
@Dim99
Fixed it. It was the civilians.
thegrimsqueaker72  [author] 30 May, 2016 @ 9:44am
Ah. No, that's not supposed to happen, I'll look into it.
Dim99 30 May, 2016 @ 6:08am
Jeah, right but I did not attack the Relay... I was just revealed by another pod on the other side of the map. So It aktivates the pods that have line of sight to the Relay without attacking the Relay.
thegrimsqueaker72  [author] 29 May, 2016 @ 5:57pm
It is intended to activate everyone who can see it, but that's why I included the option to artifically reduce the range. I've confirmed that it doesn't necessarily activate *every* pod, it's just they can apparently see it from ridiculous distances.
Dim99 29 May, 2016 @ 5:29pm
I encountered a strange issue where it does not matter where on the map I breake concealment, all pods with LOS to the Relay are activated. So even if I'm still miles away from the Relay, the pods near the objective get activated and start chasing me across the map. I don't think this is intended.
thegrimsqueaker72  [author] 29 May, 2016 @ 2:20pm
Yes it does.
aku47 29 May, 2016 @ 1:34pm
Does mod happen to also apply to the avenger defense objective? I like this approach for alien relay missions as it makes sense.
Ser Lancelot 28 May, 2016 @ 2:57pm
@Joratox, I'm with you...I usually take out the pods first and still have two or so turns to take out the Relay, if not on the final turn itself. A squad of 6 (even 4) can take down a Relay in a turn with ease.

But this is fun, just the same.
spockvulcan19 28 May, 2016 @ 11:52am
THANK. YOU.
I am playing a high-difficulty modded XCOM game, and, as such, shooting the relay before engaging is almost always a must do. Same with having an 'undetected' at the relay.
My only problem with that tatic is that it was almost like cheating; I had no time pressure to remove it. Now? I have to decide between the relay and the enemies, every single turn untill one is fully down.
So, thank you.
Mickey Surviving RNG 28 May, 2016 @ 11:07am
hey that's a nifty idea, judos thegrimsqueaker :)
Thedeejnylv76 28 May, 2016 @ 1:47am
This is awesome. Thanks for this. Downloading as soon as I get home.
The BlackVision 27 May, 2016 @ 7:25pm
Likewise. Well nipped in the bud :P
Kaldin 27 May, 2016 @ 4:38pm
Ok, thanks for the answer. Wasn't 100% clear from the description, to me at least. ^^"
Also, nice mod, thanks for making this. Hadn't noticed this being a thing, but good to know it won't happen with this mod. :iffy:
thegrimsqueaker72  [author] 27 May, 2016 @ 4:24pm
They do need it.
Kaldin 27 May, 2016 @ 4:18pm
So, the enemies don't need LoS to the relay for becoming aware of it being attacked, do I understand this right? :vanilla:
Joratox 27 May, 2016 @ 3:42pm
That might be so, but again I'll try it next time i got a relay mission
thegrimsqueaker72  [author] 27 May, 2016 @ 3:41pm
You don't. I've done this like three times just this week.
Joratox 27 May, 2016 @ 3:40pm
Ooooh erm........ I think.... Shit gotta try that out, normally i dont waste a shot on the relay before i really have to, a alien down is way better in my book so this seemed weird to me. Even tho im pretty sure you still pull the pod but id have to go and test that myself first :P
thegrimsqueaker72  [author] 27 May, 2016 @ 3:40pm
A phantom ranger spots the relay for the sniper (seen above). There is a pod sitting on the relay but as long as you don't target any of them you can shoot the objective at your leisure.

I've also seen this happen without a phantom, where the guards are just badly positioned so X-Com never officially sees them.
Joratox 27 May, 2016 @ 3:35pm
I'm not quite sure what this dose, I mean when you fire a weapon you already break concealment, so what do this chance?
