Hey I saw one of your follow kids on Nexus that's a barbarian. Does this one have a class?? or is it just an adoptable kid?? Cause the kids begging for change in the cities i live in usually have to go, don't need another mouth to feed if there's no benefit.

Easy: pull up the console, select her, and type showinventory. Her old outfit should be listed. Then just type equipitem <outfit id here> and hit enter.

I gave her a dress as a gift and she's now in her underwear. I rather not bring a save up because it will set me back a ways. Is there a way to get her back into her default clothing?

She can't wear normal kids clothing. She can, however, wear any normal clothing/armor. I chose to do it this way because vanilla children's clothing is ugly af.

To solve your problem, you can use a follower management mod to recruit her, change her outfit, then dismiss her. Or use console commands.

It's kind of unnerving when she does animations like stirring a cooking pot and she turns into the size of an adult. Is there any way to turn those animations off?

Sadly, she's bound by the adoption limit. You could always use something like Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions to adopt up to 6 brats.

Or you could snag the follower version on the Nexus (see link in description) and just dump her in a house somewhere.

Finally, an adoptable (and adorable) Akaviri kid. There are alot of cool (and sometimes sadly extinct) races in the Elder Scrolls that never get proper mention/playability. Can you adopt her if you already have 2 kids? Not sure why that limit exists anyway my Dovahkiin is filthy rich just from maxing smithing/enchanting.

Weird. She should be at the Orphanage, regardless of how many kids you've adopted. Not sure what would cause that.

I have a follower version on the Nexus. Check the link in the main post above. The size thing happens with any NPC smaller than the default height. Using something like Race Scale Remover will fix that.

Seems not to work with Amazing Follower Tweaks. So sad. Wanted her to shot from bow so much.
Also, she growth to the size of an adult with child proportions when mixing soup

I found AI overhaul in my list of mods. I moved Yumi up above that in the load order. Gonna see if that fixes it. I'll keep you posted.

No, I don't think that one would intefere with this mod at all. One suggestion is to play around with the load order to see if you can sort it out. I wish I could offer you a more definitive answer.

Dialog overhaul mods could be the culprit. Setting Yumi to load after (or possibly before) such mods should fix it.

The option to adopt doesn't shpw for me either. I have no follower mods in my game. I do have multiple adoptions enabled. What ppossible mods would conflict, keeping the adoption option closed?

Well yeah, I have ended the Dark Brotherhood questline already, but I had little fortune in fixing this issue so far. However if you're telling me your mod version works just fine you're probably right, it might be a simple bad-mod matching issue. Now that I recall it, I actually tried several mods and uninstalled a few ones as I no longer needed them, while some others are currently still on.

My next step is to check if any of the mods I've loaded might be the problem, and eventually uninstall them to check if that works. I'll try to toggle some mods on and off, see what happens and if anything goes right, I'll let you know. Thanks for your lines.

Just to check: have you done the quest to kill Grelod first? If not, go talk to Aventus Arentino in Windhelm first. Yumi can be adopted without having to kill the old crone.

Aside from that, it could be a mod conflict since I only used the vanilla adoption system, and never ran into this issue.

Is it possible that once adopted, no more child adoption gets available but the street children? I went to Honorhall Orphanage to adopt a second child after I adopted Yumi, but the girl who takes care of the adoptions won't let me adopt any other of those orphans. I unistalled the mod to check whether that could help but nope. So I currently can pick none of those kids out of the orphanage...
