More Traits will effectively take over for this mod for War of the Chosen.

Some stuff may be ported over, others won't, however.

I've got a question if it is possible to deactivate certain potentials. I can do simple things like ini modifications without help but yeah there is no ini option. The problem I'm having Hoarder is entirely useless and just takes up a slot(you could argue that it's still better than one of those negative things but it's just annoying) and second thing Endurance runner gives me the additional action point, but no decrease in mobility, it kinda feels like cheating that way. Would appreciate help with this little problem(at least my game is not crashing).

Endurance Runner crashes my game, really tried to find a solution to just disable that one perk, but I have to uninstall the entire mod until I can find a way to do it. Otherwise seems to work very well.

Other 3 move units such as Sparks work fine.

I have a feeling that War of the Chosen may implement a sunilateral system to what this MD provides. So while I really enjoy this mod, it might soon be included in the expansion.

A question/request? Would it be possible to make it so a negative potential can change to a positive potential through in game means? Like have an Afraid of Aliens character become an Alien killer if the the get a certain number of alien career kills (Like VC 2)? Secondary request, rather than simply alien killer/afraid is it possible to make separate species like muton killer or afraid of snakes? PS Keep up the great work huge fan.

Cool idea, but can ruin some characters if you get a bad one. Maybe just nerf them all but make them all positive?

@ebeneezerdahk If you encounter the Pure Virtual Function error, try restarting your computer and doing the exact same thing you did before you crashed. If that still doesn't work, repair the files using the verify files button in the properties menu in steam.

Ok, an update on my previous post, the GlsRunning == 1 crash is NOT specifically to do with this mod, because I've also encountered the same crash with other friendly units which have more than the traditional two moves. For example, a friendly Sectopod from the mod Playable Aliens has three moves (for some reason, and does not have the Potentials Endurance Runner perk), Ms 'Big Bertha' Cherry (the Sectopod) causes the same type of crash occasionally. The only vanilla unit which has multiple moves is the SPARK with Overdrive active and I haven't been able to replicate SPARKs causing the crash (although seems more on movement than firing).
In closing I think this is a great mod, seems to add real personality and story to my troops.

Also having issues with Endurance Runner, soldiers with this ability can potentially cause the game to crash performing certain moves, seem to be able to duplicate the crash every time if moving into the same position or taking the same action that first caused the crash. Taking a different move or action can help mitigate this.

Crash error message is always: "Pure virtual function being called while application was running (GlsRunning == 1)."

I set all the "PositiveChance = 100" and "NegativeChance = 1" but I'm still getting frequent negative debuffs as if it was on default. Should I set NegativeChance to zero?

Yeah you want to edit XComPotentials.ini in the My Games\XCOM2\XComGame\Config, the mod won't read the one from that folder beyond when it needs to make a new .ini in the My Games folder

Due the the apparent bug I encountered using this mod in LW2 (my last comment), I started a new campaign. I made sure that the XComPotentialsDefaults.ini had the UsingCustomization flag to "false". But one of my soldiers still got the "Likes Men" perk after the first LW2 mission. Something seems to be awry...

I think I've found a bug in this mod. I started a campaign, then decided I did not want the Soldier Customizations (the one that gives the gender based perks). I edited the ini to not include those perks, but soldiers that already had the perks instead had an additional action (after a non-dash move, the soldier still had two actions left). Whenever I try to use that soldier's extra action immediately after moving, the game crashes. I've found that a work-around is to have a different soldier take an action first, then the first soldier's extra action does not crash the game. I suspect this has something to do with the first soldier having a perk that is now no longer defined or used in the game. Perhaps a solution would be to have this mod check for ini changes on game startup and remove perks that are no longer activate in the config?

Can I enable and disable certain ones? I'd like to have a personality Potential(Jolly Cooperator, Friend Maker, etc), a Preference Potential(Small Town Person, Class Lover, etc) and a random grab bag after that.

I finally got another marathon runner, they still get no reduced movement. Check how Grimmy does it, there is an item that does exactly the same and it reduces movement properly, it's called holster or something. 3 actions at 18 speed is insane for an assault. I may give him the holster for 4 actions, not sure what an assault would do with that.

I'm working on a class mod for LW2 (formerly vanilla), it plays arround with mobility buff and debuff mechanics and was fine in vanilla but acting screwy in LW2.

After testing yesterday I was finding that my buff abilities were effectively having their effect reduced by 1, so an intended boost of 2 would end up being 1. Debuffs were reduced by 2 so a debuff of 2 would have no effect.

My work arround that I partially tested last night was to change the mobility numbers up by 1 for buffs and down by 2 (-2) for debuffs. This works but for larger changes im not so sure.

Obviously this is a problem for mod compatability since you'd have to put out a LW2 specific version.

Guess people need to talk to Pavonis and find out whats going on with mobility effects and if its a bug or intended etc.

Specifically, the one that gives you an extra turn at the cost of movement. I got the extra turn without the penalty of movement.

@Charlotte Can you be more specific? There are a couple potentials that did things like that I have internally marked as "WHY DOESN'T IT WORK IT USES THE EXACT SAME DAMN CODE FROM THE WORKING ABILITIES" way before LW2 came out, you may just have had run into one of those. :V

It seems that potentials that affects stats like Movement in LW don't work. So you get the pluses but not the negatives.
