I'll explain -
Vampires are pinkish in tone (and on GW's website as per painted by GW standards) because they live off the blood life of their victims. A healthy vampire has a pinkish tone that looks not quite alive and not quite dead once he/she is fully fed. The less fed a vampire, the more pale he/she becomes (and subsequently closer to death).
This is of course considered a "flaw" by Vampire Count society standards. Which is why Female Vampires masquerade as a paler version of their skin tone by using white makeup to achieve this porcelain look that is oh so desireable among their kind, but without feeding thats impossible without makeup.
