Its just common sense to try to stand out from the rest.
Then again, maybe others should just start using fancy banners themselves. So everyone ends up using fancy banners. "Free DLC" isn't the only thing you can write on 'em.
Either way, keep it up! It's currently a pain creating more variations and implementing new textures, so I really appreciate the time and effort others put into it so I don't have to. I have my hands full as is.
I never accused you of deliberately using the free dlc banner in a malicious manner. That's silly.
However, no one else uses such a banner, giving your mods a more "official" look the others, attracting extra attention. You've done a good job with adding more troll variations. It's a fine mod. It doesn't need a banner to stand out.
And as a fellow modder and player, I appreciate the wotk you put in this.
