You guys ... Maybe the script doesn't work anymore because it hasn't been updated since 2019. In fact, people have commented as far back as 2023 explaining that this script does not work. However, the "republished fixed version" commented below, does.

I have a question. I would like to have my views on my lcds saved, but no matter what I do. any time i reload into my world all my lcds are all defaulted. I tried using the REMEMBER_ME command. but it doesnt save my settings. how do i fix this?

@salazarWindriver - It is due to changes with LCDs and their arguments. Someone may have already discovered a solution. Please see below. I am actually going to be testing this at some point.

There is nothing in the documentation that explains what the colors mean on the map. There needs to be a legend of some kind.

Hi there, love this script it is amazing. Is there any way to get the script to remember the rotation of the floorplan please?

After rotating it using a run command SPIN_CW it does not seem to stay in place when loading a save. I did try REMEMBER VIEW.

How do you increase the size of the painted display, I feel like there is a lot of unused panel, and i would like the ship to look a little bit bigger on it

To those of you having the issue with the script resetting every time you load a save, my workaround is to set up a timer which runs this script with the DEFAULT_VIEW argument, and then runs itself again, every 10 seconds.. Obviously, you still have to do your initial setup and save it with the REMEMBER VIEW command. The interval can be whatever you want, I haven't noticed a performance impact from this, but I assume it would depend on your rig. Hope this helps somebody.. It appears the author has checked out unfortunately.

Hey i really love this script and it is so cool but i've been having an issue and I don't know why its not working. I want to do a floor plan on a 2x3 screens and i've followed the multiple screens instructions a billion times and it will not project on anything but the top left and i can not for the love of god figure out why. i was hoping you could shed some insight on why it is not happening thank you

Ok, so I've searched the entire internet and went through every page of comments and even looked in the code, but I can't figure out how to fix this. For the alarm trigger it's setting off the alarm every second or so instead of letting the sound play out in the sound block. I've tried setting the sound to be "one time" and "loop-able". Neither work with any sound. Is there anyway to get it to let the sound block play out? Thank you.

@Gray, same thing happends to me, it doesnt load the DEFAULT_VIEW of the LCD custom data, not sure why, i have to flip and spin the image in every load... i dont know how to fix

I should add that i did use the "REMEMBER_VIEW Save current Panel Parameters into Custom Data. This allows use of DEFAULT_VIEW later to load state." in the menu but it doesn't appear to work

Blue square are opened doors. 5x3 monitor screens have an issue cause the resolution is same as the 3x3 and 1x1 panels, causing script to calculate wrongly. Still finding a way to fix.

So I have this on the new 5x3 LCD monitor that comes with the new "Sparks of the Future" DLC, and the ship's health is displayed in the lower right hand side even though I have NOT designated any other monitors to display this floor plan. Can anyone advise me on how to center the health of the ship?

Those are deprication warnings, basically it still works, and assuming keep doesn't break things it should continue to work @☯Trixter☣

Is it possible to use wide lcd panels on the sides and normal, small lcd panels in the middle, because the script thinks that the normal lcd panels are wide so it only shows half of the ship.

So, I've figured out the problem with the script forgetting the previous view when loading the game. It has to do with an issue with the "Public Title" field that stores the parameters. I'm having a similar problem with one of my own scripts. I think that Keen may be phasing out the Public Title field, and when the world loads these fields aren't being populated before the programs are checking them, so the program is either reading the fields as blank or as saying "Public Title".

I modded this script on one of my ships to save these parameters to "Custom Data" instead. It seems to work.
