any idea why this mod doesnt work in Campaign? I started a campaign and during battles no formations at all. The other unit formation mod on steam works, but I like this one, its more simple & less overpowering. Thanks

So in conclusion, may you please extend these formations to other units such as the Beastmen infantry and Chaos infantry. Furthermore, can you also extend it to monsterous units. The reason being that, I want the experience of fighting an army much larger with only 5 units of minotaurs formed in a tight wall around my lord and holding the line till death. I think that would be so much more immersive in the war element of the game. I understand this may not be lore friendly, however maybe, if a may suggest, you could make a seperate formations mod in order to also preserve the lore friendly one for other gamers.

I hope you take this feedback into consideration.

P.S I understand you have a life outside of modding for desperate TW fans such as myself, but if you could also incorporate formations such as circle formations and onces that use shields - it would be awe inspiring (awesome).

How are you? I hope you are well.

You are responsible for 2 things. The first being, introducing me to the awesome world of mods and the second being; stopping me from throwing my wireless mouse into the wall (as a result of the former). Thanks for this great mod, I was so frustrated with the fact that there were no formations in the vanilla game - it's called Total "War" - what is war without formation or tactics! In conclusion, your mod significantly enhanced my experience with the game.

However (yes. there it is. The "however"), the greatest characteristics of formations in Total War: Attila, is that it gave me the ability to defend an unfortified encampment against an army of 30 units with just a handful of spear units in a shield wall with the control of key choke points. That was when I felt the visceral experience of war, fighting a battle, odds stacked against me and still managing to raise the banner at the end of it while the enemy littered the field.

First I want to thank you for this mod. I loved it. Was one of my core mods for a long time. If your done with it I understand you have a life I am sure. However should you choose to update it. That would be really cool too. Regardless thank you for this amazing mod!

Hey not sure if already reported but often times Elven melee AI units will bug out and stand in the open swapping formations and not moving or attacking. Saw it once with a dwarven melee unit too but after switching formations for a few minutes it corrected and attacked. Kinda battle-breaking when enemy units don't attack.

the elves range was visually updated but not effective
they were shooting in front of enemies without touching them

DeStark, can you please add additional unit packs to this mod? I greatly prefer your formation bonuses to the ones in the newer Unit Formations mod, and I'd love to be able to keep using this mod instead of that one.

Like the mod, but when using execution with archers, I have notice that the range increases but their arrows will not go past their normal range, so they just keep shooting short, is there a reason for this?

Hi, it seems like the AI will mess up in battle when using this mod, like standing around doing nothing except formations. Will you be able to fix that? Or maybe just remove them from the AI alltogether. Great work anyway. =)

Nice. But you should add some effect/actual formation to the Wall (Shield Wall/Spear Wall) stance, so it's is evident when AI uses it.

How about loose and tight formations? In my opinion it would look better if The Wall formation made units stand a lot tighter and in a super organised formation. Personally I find the Unit Spacing to be a lot more visually appealing in TW Rome 2, and there isn't really any mod that changes that here :3

Is there any chance we could get a variant that is only the formations without any stat modifiers.

I understand the speed reduction for phalanx and not moving for killzone, but beyond that I really just want formations with no stat modifiers. The only one of your stances looked like it might have interesting stat modifiers was the execute one, but even then I'd only want a bonus to ranged accurac, decreased speed melee defense..

Also, would it be possible to add killzone to ranged units? Iirc they had it in Empire Total war.

Does any one else have a problem with the icons. Like the button is there but sometimes the wrong icon or just a white square. Everything works as intended just having problems with the icon image.

thank you for updating this mod. I love it beyond love it. I love the strategy. anything to make combat harder and more realistic. I love the micro. Stock point and click isn't complex enough and I am not happy they took the monster mirco and made it auto. I would love to see a mod that gave me control over the monster micro. Regardles I love this mod thank you for this

Do the basic unit Dwarf warriors have any formations?, i see them on the longbeards and the ironbreakers and the AI factions use them fine(have not tried fighting dwarf warriors).

also any unit with a shield should be able to go shield wall, so maybe once the quarllers and thunderers(or other ranged with sword n boards) are out of ammo, they then get use of shield wall?

@freyland the AI uses the formations and seems to have a basic tactical understanding of when to use them, for instance; the AI uses diamond formations when charging and uses shield wall when under missile fire.

Bottom left, they are literally the same icons as your regular abilities (not spells).
You must select a unit first just in case you are not doing that.

I've selected this as my only mod to make sure I have no compatibility issues and there is simply no button to change formations, theres the vanilla missile front melee front located on the bottom. On the side where the character portrait and hero powers are there is only the camera button and the display unit information button. Absolutely nothing else. A screenshot in the main post with where this button is meant to be would be helpful, so I know if it's not working or if I'm an idiot. 99.99% sure it's just not working though.
