if you have mods that change the background in systems this will need a patch to work
if you don't have any background mods or use a patch it still works though

Until Paradox rebuilds how stars are created, this should continue to work, though it won't impact any new stars, like the Toxoid toxic star. But for what it's worth, when all your other stars have the uniformity offered by this mod, the 'haze' quality of the toxic star really shows.

@mzilli You're right, but there is nothing I can do to fix that, the hue shift is in vanilla too, must be something about how the game handles lighting for each system. It's rather slight though.

There seems to be some weirdness in 2.1... binary/trinary systems will have odd-looking stars, like the game didn't render the colors correctly. An F-type star in a K-class system will look pink, for example.

Hmmm, strange this mod is not working in my game. Doesn't seem to be any conflicting mods either.

@morph113 They are smaller in my other mod Realistic Stars.

I think the neutron stars are rather well made visually in the game. Obviously like everything else their size isn't to scale. I suppose you could make them much much smaller since they are only about 10 km in size in reality to really differentiate them from the other stars. The colors and animations look okay though in my opinion.

@danter44 Not entirely sure really. The History channel had a pretty cool Neutron Star: https://youtu.be/tlTSXr4PfSg?t=36s was thinking something more bright, that 'pops' and shows off the grandiousity of such a body. But alas, I am no artist!

I started the mod just thinking about changing some things I would love for myself, and I am so glad I shared with the community and so many people are enjoying what I did, hopefully I will have more to share soon! do you have anything specific in mind regarding neutrons and pulsars?

Just saying, your two mods are my absolute favorite.

Would love it if you put your personal touches on neutron stars and pulsars as well.

Seems like this mod isn't compatible with Beautiful Universe , as disabling it does make the mod work.

@Shark that walks like a man, I am glad you like my mods so much, it means a lot to me :) I do know that site, it is the one I used to get the primary colors of the stars, then I used a palette to get the different shades for darker spots and kept the glowing effects of vanilla unchanged so the new star colors would blend in well with the dust in the background.

danter: Ever seen this site [www.vendian.org] on star colors? I've had both your mods enabled since Asimov, by the way, great work.

@Breadbox could you be more specific? The only conflicting mods would be those that also change the colors and effects of the stars.

Alright the mod has been updated to work with the new bloom shader, sorry it took some time, but the bloom was messing with the colors and i had to retweak their intensity.

pls update to 1.3

it seems to work reasonably fine for now, because they haven't changed the star textures, but it needs to be recompiled and adjusted to the new bloom shader.

for anyone looking, it does work.
