I believe this is working for 1.4. However I went here to download the official 1.2 version found only at https://github.com/jaxxa/ED-OmniGel as far as I'm aware. So I did not use the steam version. Even if you play this game on steam you can still add mods from other sources.

I put the mod in. Started a new game. The Omni-gel can grown, be harvested and I tested three different recipes. The research is also there. During the test I used about 70+ other mods and used the create full colony dev feature. No error in relation to Omni-Gel 1.2 running in game version 1.4. I have all official DLC going as well. So as far as I can tell this is safe for 1.4 as long as you grab it from the github. Not sure about the steam version as this is 1.1. The github is 1.2.

I remember when Omni gel did not require the chem-fuel. 10/10 for updating to current version!

I'm getting this:
40 OmniGel + 40 Chemfuel + 20 Devilstrand -> 1 Hyperweave

Instead of this:
40 OmniGel + 40 Chemfuel + 20 Devilstrand -> 20 Hyperweave

Possible collision with another mod?

looking at Prometheus, i'm only interested in some features, which are already available separately, so the bundle isn't very attractive.

one thing i think would be a nice mod/feature:
mechs get some pods that have a little anti-mortar shield barrier over their entire pod. that is super annoying.

to combat this, (no i don't want one of those for myself)
i would like to see maybe a mod that takes that item and causes it to decay/deplete rapidly.
so after maybe a week it will be disabled.

alternatively, if an EMP mortar shell could disable it, that would seem logical.
rather than me sending a suicide squad of shooters to try to snipe it and run.

(not sure if there are similar mods to this, as i've been away for a long time)

i really miss this mod.

because i do not enjoy caravan gameplay,
and the deep drilling is not efficient at all...
and i do not want to deal with the infestations on my map, so strip mining is off the table...
so... my main source of steel is mech pods...

vanilla early/mid game i have TONS of steel and its barely needed for anything,
but very late game it all all of a sudden becomes super important in high quantities, and my massive stockpile of it vanishes in days.

TBH I tend not to like super mods and prefer them broken up by piece as they tend to add lots of features I don't use/want and that slows down RimWorld / bloat. Game already runs slow enough lol

I read that the shields of Prometheus are outrageously large and/or require crazy amounts of power. I already have a shield mod that I like.

Ok, I will have look at updating this. Out of interest Is there a reason you don't want to use Prometheus, or is it just that you are only interested In this?

That is correct, this mod is not currently update to the latest version on Rimworld, as the functionality exists in the Prometheus Mod. If there is a request to update this specifically from people who dont want to use Prometheus then I will consider it.

So my best guess is that this mod is no longer supported here, but instead through another mod ED-Prometheus, as omnigel is stated as a feature of that mod. However as I don't have the time to currently test it out I cannot confirm that the omnigel even works, let alone endorse it any further then a simple point of it's direction. Will get back to this at a later time when possible, if I remember to confirm that it works or not.

While I know it's not "compat", can anybody else confirm this is broke? Asking as it's def broke here, i.e. the plant part works right but you can't actually build the benches, it looks up the game into a wierd non-interactive mode and you can't actually place it.

Wish this mod was updated... It's a great mod. Would be lovely since there's not very many mods anymore that offer a way for infinite steel or plasteel through mining like there used to be, before the Steam release for the game.

Also, would be really nice if the higher tier benches had the lower tier jobs. You can't manually prioritize which of the jobs are done first as it is right now. Colonists occasionally make plasteel before regular steel, and there's nothing you can do about it.

Also, for some reason, I can't seem to force my colonists to work at these benches. Might want to get that fixed.

NEEDS a "reconnect" function. Really annoying having to deconstruct and reconstruct it because of it not connecting to power when it's built
