I ran the TS Quick Drive with the ES44 + 60 autoracks and found that to be underpowered, even after adding two DPU on the rear.
I recalled an old rule of thumb: I saw the tonnage was somewhere around 5200. "Back in the day" when a train left LA, we looked at her locos and tonnage and figured 700 tons per loco for the "older" <3000 HP and 1000 tons per loco for the "new" 3000+ HP. If it didn't add up, you'd better have helpers around.
Three on the head and two DPU was the magic number. Run 8, 22-24 MPH all the way on the hard pull with time to look around at the scenery.

You wouldn't happen to by chance have the Portland Terminal route (Now retired from steam store)
I kind of would like to see a modernized version of that route and slightly longer main line.
And branch lines.
