yeah! digging around the gamefiles you can find up to three different pain grunts.....i do hope ether a mod or dev would make the sounds play randomly for a bit of variation.

i only really started playing starbound a bit before the combat update....gave the older version a try and it was hard. XD the matter tool as well was so slow....combat music as well....was very different.

Commendable effort! Probably as a response to my young male human voice mod eh? Though I wish we may collab and find ways to return randomized grunts and yells ; and even assign voices based on the personality stances too.

might need some tweaks soon enough.

i had a funny issue where i tried to use a bigger sprite to make the gun more detailed but instead the gun became huge on the player.

i'll give it a final test to see can players craft it...that was literally the hardest part....
theres a tungstun jackhammer and a frozum one.

a fast shooting shotgun with a flashlight.
like all shotguns damage from a distance isn't great but up close its pretty lethal.

I've found randomly generated fast shooting shotguns before in starbound and they were decent for stun locking.

if i can i'll make one around the tungstun tier and then one in that fozeum tier both with flashlights.

its not brutal doom but you can get two mods to add in violence and gore. :P

"blood mod" adds visual blood splatter on hits
"murderbound" adds liquid blood and many meaty animal pieces from kills
