Maybe in the future. Right now the library I'm using (XModBase) hasn't been updated so it's stuck until then. Also I don't have WOTC yet.

will this be updated for WOTC?

As far as I know it should work fine with LW2 as-is.

Where's this class's description file located? I'm trying to change the name to "Marauder" so I don't confuse it with Unconventional Warfare's Saboteur class.

It'll just be added into the pool of classes rookies can promote into. You could also use the GTS to train a rookie into one.

So i added this subscription. Does it require me to start a new game, or do I have to make a rookie into a Sabateur? Not sure how to "find" the class I guess is what I'm saying

Thanks for the praise! I actually wanted to do a perk that increases grenade launcher range, but the issue is that there doesn't seem to be a way to do it without conflicting with other mods that also change it. I know for a fact that if I implemented one it'd be in conflict with Grimy's Anarchist and the Loot Mod upgrades it adds, for example.

After playing with this class awhile, I think this class is quite good. It's like the alternative Grenadier. I build this class as hybrid and it's really compete for the slot with other custom classes well enough. Good job!

Anyway, I may ask too much but can you change GTS perk? There is nothing wrong with the current one but, it maybe because what I do with this class, I feel like this class will benefit more from having a longer grenade range. Because of Danger Zone, I can usually start the engagement with grenade with concealment scout, almost get spot but doable unlike Grenadier where you can't really do it because the sweet spot to hit all the enemies in the pod usually in sight range of the enemy.

Alright, update again! Now the Saboteur has a GTS perk like every other vanilla class.

I actually really like that idea, and have updated to class to match. Also Shrapnel Cannon and Devstation don't end your turn if you have Salvo now, and the class should no longer be able to get its own abilities from the AWC.

My proposal is to give snapshot at squaddie but made it penalty higher (~20-25 aim debuff) and change corporal's snapshot to +aim after moving. So, if people want to go with sniper route, it still the same thing you vision this class to be. In addition to that, people that go with demolition or hybrid build won't feel gimp at the same time.

I like this class just from weapon combination alone. It's hard to find custom class that willing to use grenade launcher/sniper rifle and also look interesting. However, I want to nitpick on snapshot perk.

IMHO, I think you should give snapshot as squaddie alongside launch grenade. Because, as cool as shrapnel cannon is, snapshot is almost a guarantee pick. Why? because there is no squadsight to offset the problem of unable to move and shoot. Moreover, sharpshooter also has pistol to help when they need to move but saboteur doesn't has that luxury. So, if you didn't take snapshot, you will be stuck with cluncky, hard to maneuver class, especially when you out of grenade.

Oo yes Sprinter and Disabling Shot!
Locke Dunnegan 24 Jul, 2016 @ 9:21am
I'll have to try this out then!

Also I didn't look at the picture to see it does indeed get Salvo. I'm dumb.

Regardless, as far as I know it'll work with LWPP just fine so long as you're okay with the soldier abilities acreen looking a little wonky. (I really wish you could edit comments)

I don't personally use the LW Perk Pack, but I've been on the fence about adding a third tree, Maybe at some point?
Locke Dunnegan 24 Jul, 2016 @ 9:04am
I like it! I'm a big fan of classes that fiddle with primary/secondary weapon combos. Any plans to go the LW Perk Pack route and add a third tree? Also, this class seems like it would love a Salvo thrown in somewhere.
