@Ssgt.Hawk The reset button on the window is in the bottom left corner.
SSgt.Hawk 14 aug. 2023 la 8:30
is there a way to reset the manipulator

Great job Mr_Oob.

Should be working ok with Stardust Core Lite (quickbar mini). This "fix" is just because I'm playing a bit more starbound recently and encountered this "problem" myself with both mods installed xD.
Mr_Oob  [autor] 29 aug. 2020 la 23:08
@SpaceDonut9 It should work fine. Workshop mods sometimes don't download right away and can take a few times of shutting down the game and restarting for steam to download the mod. You can try downloading the 'Non-Steam version' that is in the description box to 100% make sure the mod is installed.

didnt work for me

@Mono832 The mod "Matter Manipulator Manipulator" does this if you really want one.
Mono832 14 iun. 2019 la 12:27
@Mr_Oob could you tell me of any, i cant really find any
Mr_Oob  [autor] 14 iun. 2019 la 8:19
@Mono832 - No. I'm not experienced with coding for starbound (what I've done is change what is already there). There are other mods that do give you a lot more control over the matter manipulator.

Even with having a reset button and the upgrades being free I never felt much of a need to change my radius after setting it initially. I "included" the reset button because I thought it was neat and wondered why it was unavailable normally.
Mono832 13 iun. 2019 la 18:22
Could you make it so we can change the area of effect after we unlocked the upgrade. Instead of setting everything to zero
🦊 Hermit 28 sept. 2018 la 15:27
I've always preferred to keep the manipulator's AoE to 3, because larger than that felt like it would become more of a sledgehammer than a precision tool. Today in my latest game I finally decided to try the 5x5 area, and I was completely right, I hated it.

This mod allowed me to fix that mistake by reverting my manipulator back to base model and re-upgrading just to the right amount. It was a real lifesaver, thank you very much for bringing it to us :)

at best i can do a small test my self and see as the sayter made a way to change them back to the basic one. all i really want is the optics upgrade to work so i can dig farther away from me/ use the "dig box" as a kind of light.
Mr_Oob  [autor] 21 nov. 2017 la 6:37
@vgcatsfan Yeah the added mm are probably their own items (with their own scripts, effects, etc.) so this mod won't do anything to them (99% sure).

At the very least for a short while the default mm can be a bit better. (I hate the non-upgraded mm :/ it just sucks too much imho, a few upgrades later and it feels usuable xD.)
iter mortuus 20 nov. 2017 la 14:40
hopefully it will work it only stop working when fracken added it's own mms (4-5 of them)
Mr_Oob  [autor] 20 nov. 2017 la 9:59
Alright the mod has been set to be loaded last and I'll probably be playing a bit of starbound with frakinuniverse soon to ensure it works alright (and to finally see what frakin is like :P).

The main thing to remember though is this mod changes the base matter manip. not any special items that get added by mods.
Mr_Oob  [autor] 20 nov. 2017 la 9:16
@vgcatsfan I think I could set the "priority" : 99 in the .metadata file for the mod to just ensure that it is loaded last. I'll take a look into it. This mod being last in a load order shouldn't cause any problems. (If I can't get the priority thing to work, I'll try to use includes instead >.>')

ya fracken uinvierse might still make this mod not work but a latest update to it might let it work again so i'm about to check it.
Mr_Oob  [autor] 19 aug. 2017 la 1:10
@The Starbound Scout - "This item has been added to your Subscriptions. Some games will require you to relaunch them before the item will be downloaded." Basically same thing stated below by me.

You sometimes have to relaunch the game a few times for the mod to actually be downloaded. I'm not aware of any conflicts with other mods (or know any that really overhaul the file I changed).

The mod is "up to date" / compatible with 1.3

And again as a side note:

I vaguely remember that playing starbound not-through-steam causes steam workshop mods to not be 'applied' when it runs... (Not sure how this is now, I play through steam 90% of the time and have all my mods downloaded to my mods folder too.)
Mr_Oob  [autor] 28 iul. 2017 la 0:02
@The World Just checked it and it seems to be fine. You may have to start up starbound, close it, and run it again once or twice to make sure the mod downloads off of the steam workshop (I remember this being an issue with mods in general in the past).

@Mr_Oob ok thx for the awnser :D good work and good day <3
Mr_Oob  [autor] 24 aug. 2016 la 16:22
@Koyozuki Hmm that can easily be done, but I like to think of the ship upgrades as a 'final grind' and something to work for in the long run... I'm not going to make one, but an easy way would be to just spawn in the amount of pixles you want (perhaps if you are in just /admin mode you could buy the licenses without it deducting pixles from you, never tried but I would think that would work even).

You could even give this a shot to learn how to make a mod yourself :D! The files you would want to ' .patch ' would be fakelicense1.item to fakelicense5.item and changing their 'price' amount.
Femboy Palapin - Nekoyozuki 24 aug. 2016 la 2:25
Can you make a mod for free ship up :o
search pixel is boring TnT
Mr_Oob  [autor] 15 aug. 2016 la 16:31
@|TRIX| TheAdmiralPanda - Similar to my free tech mod response: I'm not sure, but I would guess the server and the players playing on the server would both need the mod installed. I don't play multiplayer or host a server for starbound xD.
rovert 15 aug. 2016 la 4:04
is this multiplayer compatible?
Akadiious 30 iul. 2016 la 13:36
k thanks
Mr_Oob  [autor] 30 iul. 2016 la 10:32
@Awow.json If you are not using the mod and you're just trying to spawn in the manipulator modules yourself if you type in the wrong item name then you get 'perfectly generice item' or what ever it is. The item name is the name set in the file itself (not what shows up in game exactly).

It is a manipulatormodule (there is no 'S' at the end) if you were going off the post below.

If you google search 'starbound [item name]' you can usually find the wiki page for the item and that will show the 'itemname' for spawning it in.
Akadiious 30 iul. 2016 la 9:38
idk why but everything i spawn its just a green block and then i cant upgrade my manipulator
Mr_Oob  [autor] 29 iul. 2016 la 13:06
Just-Michael 29 iul. 2016 la 11:05
awesome mod, can you do the same for tech cards? :)
Mr_Oob  [autor] 27 iul. 2016 la 14:50
@LostShadow Yes that is an option too. This mod also adds a reset button to the gui.
LostShadow 26 iul. 2016 la 16:52
