pretty cool idk why but whenever i use this sword it says im too powerful to perform shout battle and im a lvl 50?......? and i cant figure out how to recharge it ether.... patch much?

I think you should move the sword over to Throat of the World, and put Dragonbane back in Sky Haven Temple. Maybe even give dragonbane an opposit effect. Maybe even something like. Dragonboon buffs dragons, so it can be empowered by Thu'ums, But should deal 1/2 damage againts dragons. While Dragonbane, should Deflect shouts, and do 2x damage vrs Dragons. So if the dovahkiin is using dragonbane, using a shout, could apply that effect on the player, but if the player is hit by a shout, its affect is also sent back. (but the player STILL feels the shout) Just an idea. If u really wanna follow the opposit idea, this would be a great way to do it.

Dragonbane's intent is to slay dragons; it curses/weakens (bane) Dragons; you might even say 'it is a bane to Dragons'.

Dragonboon's intent is to empower the Draconic tongue; it empowers/blesses (boon) the Dragon who wields it; you might even say 'it is a boon to Dragons'.

Any case, "DragonMind/DragonHeart" would just sound silly and it's already got a partner, Dragonbane, to be 'the other half' to. One curses dragons it strikes, one blesses dragons who wield it. Seems perfectly sensible to me given the dual-sided nature of the Dragonborn.

Could you make a file that patches that removes conjure sword effect?
I tried doing it myself, but I can't even get Creation Kit to run.

I love this mod, and I want to use it, but the conjure sword part just puts me off from using it.

@krine I find it funny that you are yelling about the lack of Katanas in the game when 2 outof the 3 Katanas are enchanted with unique enchantments and there is a mod that allows you to craft Katanas at the forge.

Regards on the double-sword: Deliberate magic effect. I need a better model, eventually, though.

Regards to the name: Dragonboon is not Dragonbane; it was not originally meant as a replacement for Dragonbane however. I am ensuring that the same effects will carry over to the sword though. I am about to pick the project back up after the last series of updates to the Creation Kit and now that work has died down a bit for me.

I apologize for the lack of updates for some time now, but the update is coming.

I've got a curious problem with Dragonboon-- it might be a mod conflict, but I digress. A summoned sword is appearing the in the same place the katana is, resulting in a bizarre double-sword.

The mod does need a lot of tweaking, aye. I'm intending to try and pick it back up in a few weeks but have been swamped with work on our studio's new project the last two months. I'm very sorry for the delay in updates; I will resume as quickly as I can.

I need to correct something about my last statements: it looks as though I get one shout through my Dragonboon sword before I cannot deliver more shouts any longer. On top of this, the sword runs out of charges *very* quickly (after 3-4 strikes or so, I think), and like other commenters have said, it takes a *lot* of soul energy to replinish the sword. Maybe this mod just needs some rebalancing. For troubleshooting purposes, I've been using Fire Breath as a test shout while weilding this sword.

This is a very innovative mod! It still needs work, though: I got one "dragon breath" shout to work through the sword before it stopped delivering any shouts and never seemed to work again. Does one use drain the charge from this sword that fast? Also, I'd like it to be upgradable so that you can use a grindstone to improve it to legendary status. Keep up the good work though! I will use this sword from now on if it can be made more useable according to its intended purpose. BTW, for troubleshooting purposes, my character has all words for all available shouts. Maybe you could even incorporate a way to use dragon souls to recharge the sword more efficiently than by using soul gems. For players like me who have just been accumulating more and more dragon souls after they have achieved all available words/shouts, it would be nice to be able to spend those extra souls on something useful!! I agree with phoenicianSon. Amazing concept. That first time you use the sword you're like "Holy S**T! this is Bad*ss!! but then you realize you don't have any more charges in the sword anymore and then there is also the bug where your own shouts drain the sword. So sadly I'm going to nix this one until the bugs are worked out.

Great concept, but the execution is a bit rough when it comes to practical use. I have two of three levels unlocked for fire and frost breath shouts, and with two hits with the Dragonboon, I wasted all of the charges. The killer is that I had to capture 10 Grand souls to fill the charges back up. Where a single Grand Stone will fully charge most weapons, it barely recharged 3-5% of the total charge. Here is the other kicker, even unarmed and in my inventory, when I used any Shout, it brought down the charges on the weapon. I decided to stash it in a weapon case at my house, The Reserve (mod). When you place the weapon in a case, it does not fit within the case; the handle hangs out the enclosed case. I truly do love the concept, but definitely have to be selective use, even when to have it in your inventory. Finally, I could not improve the weapon with my Smithy skill.

Update: Hylgrym, Part Two is more or less complete at this time. Still working on the schematic for the new sword system; I'd like to only implement once this time! :P

@Diabolus: In respect to other modders, I would have to modify so many enchantments and such to give the recharging perk that it would become less a 'mod' and more an 'overhaul'. I fear it may cause too many potential incompatabilities.

That said, you may feel free to strip out the weapon recharge component of the mod and slap it on anything you'd like. I don't have qualms against people modifying the mod if it's not doing what they wanted.

I noticed your intended update of using Magicka to recharge the weapon. I was wondering how you were planning on accomplishing this, and if you would be so kind as to release a mod that specifically does THAT to enchanted weapons. It's a huge pain to keep recharging weapons (much like the old maintenance system), but infinite charges seems a bit OP at the same time as well... this is a brilliant idea in its own right.
