yeah, the clean wipe and full reinstall from scratch finally removed those buggy left over mod files that i couldnt track down that kept me from playing skyrim for longer then 10 mins at a time''

How's your luck on making new rune bolt arrows for cross bows? --i've actualy got some ideas for a few new arrows you could make if your itnerested in expanding this current set' - ones that should be eaiser to do then the runes themselves XD

yeah, but atleast on the plus side of things, skyrim being in its final form now, crap should be alot eaiser to fix instead of mods constently breaking down every few weeks due to bethesda having to release some sorta surprize update' XDDD

I'm back online' lol -- tho due to some other mods i used in the past that are no longer on the stream workshop, my Skyrim data has been permaninately corrupted, to the point it effects new games so i'm doing a full whip of my mods currently and then deleteing and reinstalling from scratch to attempt to finally rid myself of the erorrs and msic incomplete data left lingering in my game so my new games will have CLEAN data -- because deleteling mannually the picies i was away of just didnt clear the junk out the 1st few attmepts. i blaim thise darn elemental lord mods :/

eh all i ever did was a simple modification to contorls for skyrim so that way a 360 controller could be used with mosue and keybaord at the same time, alogn with the 8 basic hot keyed items. nothing too fancy. i just gotta find where int he folder it is now its been too long since i looked at it last and it is a tag buggy if you try to use the console commands while in a menu (be it the talking with an npc or just looking threw your tiems/spell menus, ect), by buggy i mean you start typing for console commands under said conduions and the letters going in the console command line begin doing there own thing and misfiring lol. tho if ya use a console command while not in a menu screen, everythign work the way its suppose to. it COULD just be the fact--

im working with the old skyrim and DLC(s) instead of the legendary edition but i could never correct this minor bug issue lol. also i just realized something after so long. we lack a poison trap rune arrow! tho im not sure if ya would require the Dragonborn DLC to make one of those work or if ya could make a stand alone poison trap rune spell that works liek the others made for the purpose of the arrow. if ya could manage such a thing then this would still be friendly to all non DLC owners of skyrim o: and maybe a "wind" trap rune air that blasts the buggers with a fusrodah like blast wehn touched lol :3

hmm... might there be a way to make an enchantment for the cross bow's themselves so that way any arror show casts a rune upon impace based on the enchantment type...? if the bolt itself cant be done, that might make for a good alterative for rune placement with crossbows :D

Not a bad idea. If I ever get time to work on this again, I'll give it a try as a separate mod file. The bolts are a no-go I'm afraid =[ they just won't work and getting around it is going to require some high level scripting or changing the current mechanics... which is not something I know how to do.

Hey, still trying to do those Boly runes buddy? :D i'veanother idea for this mod if ya ever get the DB dlc. ash franzy and posion run arrows! o: ..actually considering how ya managed to do the cage arrow's runes, ya could probly aply those affects to there own runes already i3i. anyways good luck and keep up the good work :D

You should be able to craft them at the forge. They are under the 'Misc' category. Let me know if you have any issues.

I'm unusure what's caused it tbh, but think it's something to do with the bolts, like I said....might have to fiddle with things and maybe cheat a lil to make it work as the other set does...not much point otherwise :/

on impact hopefully? cuz if ya cant fire them, then dang it. lmao. XD if the explod and have elemebt based damage applied i suppose that would work too o3o depends on if ya wanna go that route or make them work fully like the 1st set

This is fully compatible with Vanilla, so I doubt there will be any issues with any DLC. Still, I am using DLC and the mod, so I'll keep an eye out as well :P

Bolts - I see, sorry, completely forgot about crosbows x.x If I make these, it may have to be a seperate version with them included or a standalone purely for the bolts. Still, good idea, I don't really want peeps who use crossbows to have to use a bow just for the rune arrows. Thanks for the idea! I'll give credit if I go with it ^_^

i ment Bolts as in bolt arrow based traps, just to clearify. and so far i never noticed any bugs that i could tell but i have only recently updated to to the full DLC's. and i last used these arrows back in full vanilla, so if i find any now i'll make note of them and post them up here.

It's been a while since I last updated, with one thing or another going on. This isn't anything big yet, just some minor tweaks and some tests as well to try and resolve some of the bigger issues with the Cage Arrows. Please comment if you notice any bugs and I'll get to squashing them.

Love the mod, i've enjoyed setting up enemys foir the rune traps set by these arrows, i'm just curious if you plan on making a Bolt version for this mod

Sorry to ask but could you PM me a list of the mods you are currently using and I'll check through and see what I can find...I honestly can't think why this would be happening unless something has modified the Void salts object ref or something. I'll need to delve deeper x.x

i have uninstalled all other mods and tried to do it but it still says i have no void salts when i go to craft.

You may just need to re-order them if there is a slight conflict. I wouldn't want you to have to drop any of your mods if it wasn't necessary >.> If you figure out which one is possibly causing the conflict, try loading it first in your mods list or shuffling the list around a bit. Let me know if you find out what it was and I'll see if I can create a fix so there is no conflict.

Do you have any other mods that modify void salts, arrows or crafting at all? I'll need to check around each one and see if there are any conflicts >.> Is there anything else that stands out or is it purely the void salts?

Ooooo, that sounds cool! Once I get the planned content out of the way, I might look into that gem idea. In the meanwhile, the cage re-sizing is a good idea, though I'd honestly have to start at square one learning how to do it tbh. I can check a few things but it might require some extra research on my part before I can manage that >.>
Still, thank you very much for the ideas - first comment in response to the large enemies clipping out of cages problem xD

Update - Going to be busy for a few days, but I will try to make some time to get at least some new content into the mod in the next week or so, even if I can't fix the cage issues still. Cheers for your patience guys.

What if you made the cage the same size as the target, then the Mammoth's would also be trapped.

Also a different arrow: Prison Stone - Summons a gem that traps the target inside imprisoning the target (size is not an issue - think TARDIS). The best part about this is that the target creature can be released by dropping the gem. The prisoner is so angry that it goes beserk and attacks everything in sight.

K, after a bit of thinking, might have a way to fix the cage de-spawning issue. Gonna try a few things out and add it to the next update if it works, if not, Ima just add some new things we've been working on and then do the fix another update because this is taking too long atm. xD Thanks for your patience peeps.

A little stuck with the custom models atm. When I try to attach them to an object in the CK, it comes back with an error saying it's trying to do a double render pass or something and promptly crashes. Working on a fix atm, but been a lil busy this week so progress is slow. Any info on this error would be awesome and speed things up :)

Yeah, I thought of trying that but couldn't find a way in the CK to do it :/ Might just need to fiddle with it some more at some point. It's not hugely important atm, just a minor bug fix. Still, ty for the input =P

Well you could make it a certain way you need to obtain the AoE arrows or just lower the damage not too much but not alot as where you cant kill anything. Or you could make them take up weight so it would discourage people not to try to have alot of them.

I haven't tried using the creation kit yet but for vertical runes, try making it so that if it is fired at a vertical surface, then it would cause it to rotate on the (Z?) axis 90 degrees, making it end up on the wall?
The problem would be that it might rotate the wrong way or walls that aren't 90 degrees but yeah :P

Could do. I don't want to make these unbalanced though, so I thought of a few things I can use for that. My main issue with the idea is that I want to add more original effects. If I can't find a way around that, I'll have a look at alternatives that stop AOE arrow effects being totally op. =P Thanks for the suggestion and comment ^^

Um with these poisons i've been thinking maybe you could add to this mod or make another that adds poisons to aply to bow for X amount of time that does effects such as slow and para and mass para :)
