You've probably been asked this before, but once you get your gaming PC up and running it'd be neat if you took a look at the Frackin' Universe mod and all the weapons added therein.

I'd be happy with a simple mod to just speed up all the whips, personally...

Hello, when you'll have a gaming pc could you make it work with longsword type? Thank you^^
CaptainCrazeh 21 Jul, 2020 @ 3:36am
Is this compatible with blade-dance weapons?

Can You Make It Work With Scorpion Sword?

can this work with https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=738297155&searchtext=channeling ? I think the stuff windup time is too long.
Shade 9 Jun, 2018 @ 12:38pm
Out of curiosity, would it be possible to make this a passive/global buff to all players and/or npcs to just give -cooldown on use of such attacks or +attack speed so it would be compatible with mod-added weapons/etc? Or is it purely changing each individual items code/stats one at a time?
GurudoPrime  [author] 6 Apr, 2018 @ 3:55pm
no idea, currently my pc isn't gaming ready so i can't work on my mods yet
Lienom Zekon 5 Apr, 2018 @ 9:42am

Bloðbrand 5 Sep, 2017 @ 6:23pm
Cool to know. Sorry I didn't respond sooner; my family and I were on vacation for the weekend.
GurudoPrime  [author] 31 Aug, 2017 @ 6:40pm
No problem. I actually plan to redownload it and pray to the game gods that it works on this pc. If it works good I may just continue my mods.
Bloðbrand 28 Aug, 2017 @ 3:48pm
I see; thanks for letting me know.
GurudoPrime  [author] 27 Aug, 2017 @ 6:08pm
I have to put things off sadly until I have a gaming pc again. Maybe if i get one soon i'll look into it.
Bloðbrand 26 Aug, 2017 @ 6:07pm
PS; Due to my suggestion for it, and his saying he'll toy around with the idea, @The Honey Badger MAY be adding this weapon to the list:

Longsword: A 1-handed sword with a reach, damage, and swing speed in between that of the shortsword, and the broadsword.

If he DOES add this to the grand armory list, can you be sure your compatibility patch includes it?
Bloðbrand 26 Aug, 2017 @ 6:01pm
Hey @Gurudo99, there's something I wanted to ask you; it's been a little more than 6 months since my request for a grand armory compatibility patch, and @The Honey Badger plans on releasing a wave 2 of that mod that adds all the new weapon types to the final vanilla crafting tiers; so if you're working on a grand armory compatibility patch, do you think you could make it work with everything wave 2 adds?
Bloðbrand 4 Feb, 2017 @ 10:36am
You're welcome.
GurudoPrime  [author] 4 Feb, 2017 @ 4:12am
I'll be sure not to miss it, thanks.
Bloðbrand 3 Feb, 2017 @ 9:05pm
Thanks @Gurudo99. PS: Part of what Grand armory does is actually because of my request of the mod author, @The Honey Badger for it. It didn't add the new weapon types to the crafting tiers until I requested it; and through that same request, and a couple responses to his response, I inadverdantly pointed out that it didn't include the 1 handed mace before and made him wanna add it. I wanted to tell you that in my compatibility request, but the character limit kept me from doing so. PPS: I forgot a weapon type in the Grand Armory list.

Shortspear: A 1 handed, short-range spear. If you do make this mod compatible with Grand armory, please make sure you DON'T miss this one.
GurudoPrime  [author] 3 Feb, 2017 @ 4:41pm
I haven't really played Starbound in a good while so I'm not exactly modding it right now. I may start back soon though because I started playing Terraria and got back into the whole sidescrolling survival genre again. I'll keep you posted if things change, and thanks for the interest in my mod.
Bloðbrand 3 Feb, 2017 @ 1:18pm
@Gurudo99, I just have a tiny request regarding your mod. I recently started using "Grand Armory", which adds these new weapon types to the game:

Baton: A short stick that most likely uses dagger animations.
Cane: A mid-length stick with shortsword animations.
Club: A slightly slower, 2 handed hammer like weapon that can stun.
Greataxe: A 2 handed axe variant.
Greatsword: A 2 handed sword that's slightly slower, and has slightly longer reach than a broadsword.
Mace: A 1 handed hammer.
Greatmace: A lighter, faster version of the standard hammer.
Quarterstaff: A quick, 2 handed stick with spear animations.
Armcannon: A rapid-fire arm weapon. (most likely 1 handed)
Longbow: A bigger, stronger, longer-range bow.
Spellbook: A book that most likely uses wand magic.

I noticed that the grand armory weapons don't get the speed boost; (especially not weapons like the greatsword) So can you please make this mod compatible with Grand Armory? I'd really appreciate it.
GurudoPrime  [author] 3 Sep, 2016 @ 8:16am
Indeed you are correct. This mod does not touch damage in any way, only the swing speed of weapons. I did happen to find a weird mechanic in the game while making this mod though. When I change the weapon speed the Damage Per Swing gets lower to match the dps of the item.
Thundercraft 3 Sep, 2016 @ 1:08am
I've read the description and searched comments, but..
Am I understanding correctly that this only increases the attack/swing speed, while leaving the DPS values more or less the same? Another words, most weapons are not more powerful, just easier to use and more responsive?
GurudoPrime  [author] 26 Aug, 2016 @ 6:37am
That's also where I will post my response from the mod author of Powerfully Unique so you might want to tune in there anyway :P
GurudoPrime  [author] 26 Aug, 2016 @ 6:37am
Ok, I made a comment asking the mod author if they could help me out in figuring out the problem. Will report when possible. Also, not trying to sound mean but could you start commenting on the mod I made specifically for Powerfully Unique? That way things are more organized.
GurudoPrime  [author] 26 Aug, 2016 @ 6:31am
Yea I'm not sure why but the changes I'm trying to make will NOT apply to the MKII or III weapons. I even went as far as copying the EXACT file and changing the speed just to see what would happen and nothing works. I'll get ahold of the author and see what's going on.

I know what you mean, I never play to win only for fun, but I just get down if I can't get at least 1 kill (unless I'm support).
Lovely Lunatic 26 Aug, 2016 @ 6:23am
I tested around a bit btw. and none of the MKII/III unique weapons had the speed they used to have at their normal lvl.

That's understandable xD
What kills it for me is just this whole competitive vibe, if i want to play for fun i don't need enemies that play solely to win, as fast and hard as posssible >.>
I don't care much for winning or losing. Even if my score is bad, as long as i had some good moments it's a win for me. That just never happens anymore :'D
GurudoPrime  [author] 26 Aug, 2016 @ 6:03am
Hmmm that is odd then, I'll look into it.

I play it at least once a day, or try to at least. Only times I don't have fun is if my score is poo. :P
Lovely Lunatic 26 Aug, 2016 @ 6:00am
Yeah i did ^^

Poppy is best ^o^/
Havent played in a while, but i allways get back to it somehow Dx
The champions, their lore and the lore in general are the best thing about the game, together with the artstyle~ But the gameplays ist just... meh. It's hard to have fun with it after some time ^^°
GurudoPrime  [author] 26 Aug, 2016 @ 5:39am
Also, great profile picture. Love me some League.
GurudoPrime  [author] 26 Aug, 2016 @ 5:27am
Just to clarify, you did download my patch correct? I didn't update THIS mod itself, I made an entirely new mod.
Lovely Lunatic 26 Aug, 2016 @ 3:56am
Hmm, sorry to say, but the MK. II/III models are still slower :/
I'm using the Asuterosaberu DX and the Volium Sword for reference.
Haven't tested other weapons yet, tho~

Funny thing, however. I have a DX fused with a lvl 10 Broadsword (Moon Colony :P) with +10 Reinforcement. Needless to say, it deals heavy damage :D
I used that one to compare the speed between it and a MK II DX.
Now, the funny thing is, after comparing the two (the first one was obviously faster), my speed suddenly dropped? xD
The normal DX is the fastest, like your mod made it, my reinforced one is now slower, but still faster than the MKII...
I allready unsubscribed and subscribed again, but who knows, maybe i need to do that a few times~ ^^
Gonna keep testing, sorry for the text-block °^°/
Lovely Lunatic 26 Aug, 2016 @ 3:04am
Awwwwww yessss!
My enemies won't even know what hit 'em! >:D
GurudoPrime  [author] 25 Aug, 2016 @ 7:23pm
Alright, the patch is done and uploaded. You can go to the link in the description or go to my workshop. Hope it works for you!
GurudoPrime  [author] 25 Aug, 2016 @ 11:51am
I knoooow :P Especially the hammers and axes.
Lovely Lunatic 25 Aug, 2016 @ 11:43am
Awesome! :D
I got so used to your mod, the 'normal' weapon speed felt like slow motion xD
GurudoPrime  [author] 25 Aug, 2016 @ 10:45am
I checked the mod out and subscribed to it myself, seems like a really good mod. Also, I made a comment asking the mod author if I could make a patch so now I just need to wait on the reply.
GurudoPrime  [author] 25 Aug, 2016 @ 10:40am
Never heard of the mod but I shall look into it for you, and thanks for the support!
Lovely Lunatic 25 Aug, 2016 @ 5:28am
Yo, love your mod! :D
Could you make a compatibility patch for Powerfull Unique, please?
It just came out, so no hurry xD
GurudoPrime  [author] 23 Aug, 2016 @ 7:08pm
Alright, I'm pretty sure I got every weapon done. Let me know what you think. Link is in the description.
GurudoPrime  [author] 23 Aug, 2016 @ 6:24pm
Ok, so it's gonna take longer than I expected. I have to do a lot of math to figure up the change I need to make, so if it's not done tonight I'll get it done by tomorrow. No problem by the way, and thank YOU for YOUR support!
GurudoPrime  [author] 23 Aug, 2016 @ 5:28pm
Alrighty, I will start working on it right now. Should be done in about an hour IF that.
GurudoPrime  [author] 23 Aug, 2016 @ 5:27pm
Because I'm sure if one person wants it then others might too.
GurudoPrime  [author] 23 Aug, 2016 @ 5:26pm
Indeed. So maybe, as I said earlier, I will make an addon that changes the baseDps so you can have vanilla damage per swing back. The only thing is that it would make the weapons mroe powerful than they are in vanilla, since you are effectively increasing their DPS. If that's not too much of a problem though, and you would want this, then I will consider making the addon.
GurudoPrime  [author] 23 Aug, 2016 @ 5:20pm
My theory is confirmed. The damage per swing for all melee weapons is indeed determined from the baseDps and the fireTime.
GurudoPrime  [author] 23 Aug, 2016 @ 5:17pm
If my theory for the Solus Katana was right then I assumed it did the same for every melee weapon. I'm going to check right now just to confirm it.
GurudoPrime  [author] 23 Aug, 2016 @ 5:09pm
I can confirm that the damage pre swing is created from the fireTime and the baseDps of the item. Meaning that it will lower its damage per swing when the swing speed goes up. The way to counter this is to also change its baseDps, and that is something I really don't want to do since my mod only changes the weapon speed. I would also have to do it for every other weapon, not that I wouldn't mind doing it or anything, I just don't want to change what this mod is about or anything. Maybe I will make an addon that changes the baseDps so it will make weapons keep vanilla damage per swing numbers.
GurudoPrime  [author] 23 Aug, 2016 @ 4:51pm
I'm going to try and change the baseDps from 11.5 to maybe 20 and see the results. Will report back soon.
GurudoPrime  [author] 23 Aug, 2016 @ 4:50pm
So maybe my theory is correct then, it sets the item's damage per swing depending on its swing speed and its dps in the file. Very weird mechanic. I doubt that's something I could change.
GurudoPrime  [author] 23 Aug, 2016 @ 4:48pm
That is interesting, cosidering the baseDps in the vanilla assets is set to 11.5... :|
GurudoPrime  [author] 23 Aug, 2016 @ 4:45pm
I'm sorry I can't fix this dern bug. I hope this won't prevent you from using this mod, if so then I do apologize.
GurudoPrime  [author] 23 Aug, 2016 @ 4:45pm
I made sure to wear no armor so it wouldn't affect the actual damage.
