I don't use TSW, only because there's no way to officially add your own trains or routes

Yes, I got the Koolyanobbing route working :) I am hoping to see you finish the route in your own time of course. It has a lot of potential

No mate,
But am considering a crowdfunding project for Transimworld for an Australian route.

Are you interested?

Did you get the Koolyanobbing route working?

Hi again, just wondering if you have any other Australian routes? Even if the route is in progress

Yes the Cajon Pass route assets are some of the best, the closest to Australian scenery. It just works. The weed bushes they are practically the same and desert type textures.

Thanks Wolf! I appreciate the feedback. The western part I am familiar with but east of Kalgoorlie I am not. Maybe we can bring it to Train Sim World one day, when a route editor is available.

I finally got your route working after purchasing the Cajon Pass route which does include the US Locos and Assets pack so that's a bonus, it also does include the European Locos and Assets pack too

I noticed the Quick Drive scenarios were not shown up under the Quick Drive or other menus, so I just deleted the Quick Drive scenarios and created an eastbound service using the HST to cover the Indian Pacific I only drove the first 75 kilometres of the route and stopped at Kalgoolie

I honestly think you've done a great job making this route, even though it's not 100% completed yet. But you've done well so I have sent you an award on Steam for your hard efforts in producing this route :steamhappy:

Matt Peddleston who works for Dovetail Games has done a pile of videos too.

Just search google for route building train simulator basics.

I haven't done it in a while. You will just have to search and look in forums.

There is plenty of material out there.

Railworks America is good too.

http://railworksamerica.com/forum/index.php

I think you can lay 400m at a time maximum. straight. Or you might lay the one then copy it and paste it?

Gradient as in 1/60 for example? 1/60= 0.0166666666666667

For every 60 metres you will climb 1 that is what 1 in 60 means.

So for every 100 metres you will climb 1.666666666666667 metres (or feet or whatever system of measurement)

To get that calculation it is 1/60=0.0166666666666667

Then 0.0166666666666667 x 100 (for 100 metres) or if you want for 1000 metres just make it 1000.

May I suggest you go to the Dovetail Live forums and post this topic? You may find help there, or help in Steam Train Sim Classic forums..... Or try both.

That was the old way it got done, restart. Maybe leave it for 10 minutes after starting Train Sim to see if it just needs some time to install?

If you have subscribed to quite a few things it might take a while for all to install...

Sometimes you may need to restart TS Classic.... Give that a try. Usually it downloads subscribed content when you are selecting routes and trains.

I made it a few years ago. I wouldn't mind making a few trees and things authentic to Goldfields WA. But I'll have a crack in the next few weeks for you. Being West Kal you would want to see the track to Koolyanobbing? Or is that only Minres that does that now and Pac Nat?
The Esperance line is quite scenic and wouldn't mind doing that.
I have worked on the Q and Ls.

Hey mate, yeah nah all good, I gave it a few cracks but made it even worse hahaha, if you could try to edit that out I would really appreciate it :D I've just transferred to West Kalgoorlie rail depot so I was really suprised to see this line on the TS workshop

Sorry mate looks like I made the Quick Drive using US only stock. IE stuff we can not buy due to the BNSF license rectrictions placed on DTG.
If you know about route building and scenario creation you can make it yourself or I could do it for you. Sorry about the issue at the time I think I didn't even know about it.
Let me know.

Hey mate, just tried to load this, had to go and copy the quick drive freight scenario and edit route through the builder, then tried to start the scenario and an error came up saying I'm missing Loco- "GE C44-9W Warbonnet Clean", no idea why. Any ideas?
ANZACMonash-AAPG Daniel  [ophavsmand] 19. juli 2018 kl. 17:51
Did you try Quic Drive? Sometimes it just needs to install. Try again. Then allow it some time to download it is almost 300Mb. Then go to Quick Drive. If still not successful go to Build then choose scenario then try to find this route Koolyanobbing Forrest. If still not successful I can upload it to a file share.

There is a working Ore Mine at Koolyanobbing in the real world. I have not worked on it in quite some time. I have some ideas on creating some Australian routes for market, but will need some serious interest where I will launch crowd funding to get some digital artists to help. It will be a standard gauge like this. I am hoping to do at least 4-5 Australian routes and 2-3 New Zealand routes. I have used Cajon Pass (one of Railworks very first routes) assets to make this. I will create buildings specific to the route content. I will ensure the quality is as high as possible. Equivalent to the premium routes found in the DLC. There are several mines in the Goldfields area of Western Australia. I doubt I will get funding specific to take a WA route in this area to market. It will just be a hobby. One route I could start with is the Leonora route from Kalgoorlie and this would give us assets in Kalgoorlie which could be used for more.

This is a very long route so far at over 230 miles.
IMO it is going to need a lot of patience and dedication to complete it and try and make it interesting for people to drive along.
I look forward to seeing it again, when more work is done.
Is it going to have a Port Like Port Hedland and a working Ore Mine?
