Mod update:

- added Loose Stone and Road Crossings
- added Cobblestone (works only with some mods, else you get a grey tile)

Hmm, editing the save game was able to achieve a good result. Changed size starting prison on 271x150, thanks a lot

This used to work, not sure if it still does:

Edit savegame with Notepad++ and change OriginX value on top. If you make it 10 instead of 0 then the vertical 'cant build here' stroke gets moved 10 tiles to the right. -10 moves it to the left. Then you can remove the road and change the value back to 0 once done. OriginX also determines the spawn point of visitors/parole/teachers.

This mod copies materials, it does not make roads.

You can't. It's made for making changes to small parts of the map in mind, and to change the border in one go.

This is the only mod that I could find that allows you to bisect water tiles by chaning the border than expanding land area.

It's not an object but a staffmember, so look in the staff menu instead :)

I'll update the mod soon so it gets more friendly to use:
- the object will become an entity, so it's placed on the map immediately and can be sacked when done.
- the object can be placed on water so you can start putting dirt or whatever tiles you want in the middle of a lake.
- the Tiles choice will get a + and - button.
- the object will move itself instead of spawning a new one by each click, so the buttons menu will stay at its spot and you don't need to click the object again and again every time.
- diagonal copy gets removed

This thing is meant for small adjustments, not huge pieces of land. And there are different types of water in the game. If the unwalkable water is used for the border, then the AI doesn't know how to deal with escapes and the game will crash.

I've added the option to copy single tiles as well. It works more efficient than the Material Duper from the RoadWorks mod: with the Material Duper you would have to place a whole row of Dupers to copy a line of tiles. With this BorderChanger you will only need one, and it will walk across the map when you copy tiles.

Oh, btw, the buttons are programmed to show up in a certain order, but a game bug makes this a pseudo-random order :s This issue has been fixed by the devs for the next game update. In case you're wondering why the hell that button order is like it is now...

Water crash fixed, I had to remove blockmovement from the water. People will now be able to walk across a water border, be it very very slowely...

@ChickenGuy does it work with an island or does it crash? It crashes when there is a perimeter wall next to the border. Probably because then there is no space between the water and wall, needed for reasons mentioned below.

@ChickenGuy ok mod is updated with water now. I've also added material copy options for single tiles. You can copy the tile beneath the Border Changer to left/right/up/down. It works also in a diagonal way: copy Up-Left will take one tile above the Changer and copy it to the left. Down-Right takes one tile below and copies it to the right. And so on.

Probably, but having a water border might give problems with game AI. When there is a wall all around the map, and then this water border as well, there would be no place for prisoners to escape from a tunnel, or for visitors/teachers to walk around a prison on the edge...

Note: due to a small bug in the buttons system in PA 8a (version 2 preview), the button will not update its text immediately when clicked. So it will change the border of the map, but the buttons text stays the same until you deselect and reselect the object. This bug has already been fixed by the devs for the upcoming version of PA.

As you can see on the picture, this mod will change the whole border except the default road. If you made custom roads with Sambot's RoadWorks mod, then you'll have to use the Material Duper for a few tiles to make things match to your likings.
