The great thing about this mod is it helps the AI when they are unable to field armies with higher tier units. Seeing a bunch of enemy Levy Freeman and Celtic Warriors with triple blue chevrons is not a cakewalk anymore. Especially if the army you have is inexperienced.

there it is. though with this it would hamper mods that add more manpower to the unit out right that may need to be retified with PDF or something. maybe that disclaimor or something in the disscription will work.

As per below, it looks like DEI uses the same file so it will cause conflict issues

wired bug with DeI and other 30 mods I use (I added this one in the middle of a campaign so I know it is something to do with it): all experience during the battle was diverted to the first unit in the army of its type.
(I had 4 archers and 8 hoplites; after a Heroic victory over 2.2 armies only one archer unit and one hoplite unit got a rank-up, but those that did got boosted to levels 5 and 7)

With DEI, they've probably updated their mod to include the same file this uses so it overwrites this one there's no other reason it shouldn't work. If you change the load order you may be able to get it to work. I don't use DEI though so this is untested

I think 0.0 would crash the game or cause issues where units don't disband with no men left, so start with 0.001 see how it goes and increase it if you need to. There maybe modders with more of an idea with this value you could ask, but I find the best way is trial and error. Hope that helps, and if you do this, don't release someone else's work on the workshop without permission, just do it for personal fun :)

@Zeta, yeah best thing to do is go to your 'data' folder where the Rome 2 is stored, and rename the mod you want to edit, then it won't auto update and rewrite what you've done, the mod will be called XXX.pack, change it to something like zeta_XXX.pack so you know which one you've done. Once copied open that .pack file with the pack file manager, find the db table, then open campaign_variables, you want to edit the 'losing_unit_minimum_strength' value, I've never played around with this too much so you might want to test different values, but setting it too something like 0.001 to start with should hopefully give you 1 man left to keep the unit, the default is 0.2. Cont....

@zeta, yeah that's easy to do, but if you are using Radious already it will cause issues editing the same value from the the same table in an another mod

This mod is amazing. It really changes the battlefield. Facing silver and gold chevron units with inexperienced units can be a nightmare. Adds another tactical element to the game. Should be a 5 star mod and its working with the ancestral beta as well.

This is the only combat mod I have and from a dozen fights, the unit that manages to kill the enemy general gets 6+ veterancy levels from doing so.
