Almost done with this. Ironing out the details and polishing it up a bit. Hoping to have it ready before the weekend. I wont waste time with the Nexus... Just patience, please.

I changed the WOTC version to "Friends-only". Send me friend requests if you really need this for wotc.
I don't know when i'l have a finished version. i'm still tripping all over my code. it's a tangled mess. At least no special animations will be requried for anyhting, so at least there's light at the end. it'll be finished eventually, not like the Necromancer with his billion special effects. lol.

Agh, sorry to hear my link doesn't work. I never know what "Hidden" means. In some programs it means you can access it with the link, in others you cant...
I'd open it to the public, but it isn't ready and people can't handle an unfinished product, and then the downvoting begins. :(

I assume you are talking abotu the WOTC version? It's not quite ready. I havent tested it enough. It's definitely safe and playable, just not ready for release to the masses. It's hidden, but if you want to try it, and maybe beta test it, I think you can get to it with this link. Let me know:

@mynameactually: Thanks for the effort, but that won't be necessary. I like the ideas, but some of them require a major overhaul of the systems. I'm not up to it. I'll pick the doable stuff and mix and match.

I already made a mock up of a possible skill tree in case I got the chance to make this a mod myself. I really liked the idea. Especially the ability to change out Auras to suit specific situations, since that hasn't been done before. Would you like to hear what I got?

hi. all your ideas now actually make perfect sense. before zombies were such a rare thing to see and building a class to deal with them was a waste. he wouldnt be useful. but with the lost being everywhere, that would be cool. i'll get on it right after the other billion things that are on fire.

Actually, that's an interesting what if this class had toggleable auras that can only have one active at a time, but first aura change in a turn is free. You can even make it an offshoot of the Templars. (So they can get momentum and parry, but they use ranger weapons to attack. That way you can give them Axes and katanas, etc. from those mods in addition to regular ranger weapons.) So far all the defensive auras from diablo 2 would make good skills, with some combined in the solace Effect.

Idea for an aura. Aura of turn Undead Enemy zombies/Lost who get in range, are panicked and run away. Also sets Undead/Lost on fire. Probably paladin

Thinking something like the PsiOp's Solace for colonel priests; for colonel paladins maybe a deflection/reflection aura to go with Sacrifice

Oh, the Major ability for Paladin could be something like Blazing Pinions, but instead of regular explosions, it can be like lightning bolts that come down and does like EMP grenade explosions. (And does hurt robots more, and even more damage to targets who don't move out of the way.) You can call if Holy Wrath, or even Smite (and change the current Smite ability's name to something else.) 5(?) Turn cooldown.

Or possibly have the chance to kill undead ability as an upgrade called Greater Turn Undead for the priest. (35% chance?) And add Turn Undead as an additional squaddie ability considering how situational it is. (Though this class would be rather good for dealing with the Lost in the War of the Chosen Expansion.)

To build on Klok's idea, a turn undead ability would be interesting. (One that panics raised enemies for 1-2 turns) Priest aura could be something called Holy Ground. It could cause raised enemies to catch fire and panic when they are within a certain area of a priest. Maybe also plus 10 defense to all in the area. I also think that the priest heal ability would work better as the squaddie, but made into a heal over time. (Heal 1hp per turn for 4 turns, 4 turn cooldown.) Maybe call it Lay On Hands.

The Paladin Colonel ability should be called "Heroes Never Die". Haha. The first time you are downed per mission, your brought back up with 1/2 or 1/3 health and stasis until your next turn.

What would make this class useful was if it was specially suited for killing those revived enemies that the psionic aliens can create, as well as enemies that are created from humans on guerrilla rescue missions. You know, the ones that ruin your missions and can swipe around clustered units in melee range, dealing craptons of damage and terrorizing them.

For example, a finbal rank might give you an aura that prevents those units from being revived at all within 25 tiles of the Warrior of Light, and earlier ranks might give fat damage bonuses against them, or weaken their attacks somewhat. You could also make the Warrior of Light impervious to mind control, etc.

Might seem a tad niche for a class, but then I would find it interesting to play with.

Inspiring aura: same as Psi Operative's Solace
Paladins also usually have similar abilities such as the Psi Operative's Fortress
You could even give this LW2 mod class similar abilities to the original LW1 psionicists, http://ufopaedia.org/index.php/Psionic_(Long_War)

Apologies if this is something that was already suggested (and for the wall of text) — but have you considered doing something that would directly effect undead/zombies? Paladins're traditionally extra-good against undead/abomination type things. That said, there aren't *that* many zombies in the game, but it could be a cool lore-based bonus for them? Also, for the Priest - would be possible/not terribly unbalanced to give an ability that set everything around them on fire? Like they were calling down a holy blast of some sort - something akin to the effect of a fire grenade (or Akira's orbital laser), but without the throwing arc? Either way, this mod sounds awesome, and I look forward to bringing more magic into the XCOM.
