Does anyone know a mod which makes it so that only g, k, f and M stars can have habitable planets? I cannot find a mod that replaces this one.
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 5 Mar, 2023 @ 9:34pm
I am no longer updating this mod as there are many newer mods that do what my mod did but better
Maschinenmensch 1 Mar, 2023 @ 11:05am
Nvm I just noticed it already said it was outdated on the page
Maschinenmensch 1 Mar, 2023 @ 11:04am
I've found this to be incompatible with the newest version.
Once any kind of galaxy is generated, a majority of stars will be converted into O-Class systems, which cannot be interacted with from the galaxy view, and once entered with the system view will mess up all textures to make the game unplayable until you reload the game.
Cheyan 8 Jan, 2022 @ 7:08am
In the evolutionary point of view, earth has taken 4.5 billion years to form, and 1 billion years to yield the simplest life form. The Class G like the sun is estimated to sustain for around 10 billion years, so it provides a good duration for intellectual species like human(We took 2 million yr to evolve) . That is why its nearly impossible to have an intellectual civilization raised on a planet that is orbiting a type O or any other supergiants. For example, the life of a red supergiant UY Scuti can only lasts 10 million to 50 million years, plus its factors of strong solar storm as well as its radiation, it destroys literally any chance of life. Though a red supergiant is hopeless, a bigger red dwarf is hopeful. The best situation for life to develop under the Class M circumstance, is to have a tidal-locked habitable planet over the second rim of its system.

Does this mod work for the current version?
Moebius 29 Jan, 2020 @ 8:35am
Addendum: The l-cluster spawns fine, I believe, since I get feedback on what l-cluster event is in the galaxy via looking at tweakergui. It's specifically the system which would contain the l-gate that doesn't appear.
Moebius 29 Jan, 2020 @ 8:26am
I did some research via tweakergui and came up with two problems: First, "nuked" systems (which all appear as binary black holes on the map, idk if this is intentional) in my game don't spawn with anything in them. I mean NOTHING, not even spaceboxes spawn, so when you zoom onto them the game bugs out.

Second, the Systemint for the L Gate appears to be missing (or at least not included in the default ints), as it doesn't get added with the various other ints for the galaxy, ere-go creating no L Gates.

@WiperCanel: Some of the things you've mentioned I've been looking at. I was not able to fix the Megastructure bug, but I keep trying with every new patch lol
HyperEndless 18 Jul, 2019 @ 10:48am
Also I see that you removed the aura effect from some planets. I would appreciate if remaining ones are removed as well. That is probably already on your mind though.
HyperEndless 18 Jul, 2019 @ 8:14am
Scales are very good in general it seems, however I would like to give feedback on some issues:

Minor:
- All stars are slightly centered to the right.
- Mercury is too close to the sun. Might be affected by the aforementioned problem.
- Space structures are too far away from the objects they are orbiting.
- As a result of the new scaling the starbases look as big as small planets.
HyperEndless 18 Jul, 2019 @ 8:14am
Major:
- Black hole only and gaia only systems are immersion breaking, while gaia only systems are also balance breaking. 2-3 black holes in the same system is okay, but ~10 packed next to each other is too much (vanilla issue I think).
- In asteroid systems the big asteroids are as big as the star. In general all big asteroids should be smaller; at least smaller than planets such as Mercury. Also I think the star should be the representing icon for the asteroid system, as is the case with every other system.
- Kuiper Belt is missing in the Solar system.

Were you able fix the megastructure problem by the way?
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 21 Jun, 2019 @ 3:26pm
@Marcus Balearius: I hadn't noticed. I'll look into it, but it seemed to be working okay before.
Balearius 19 Jun, 2019 @ 10:45am
Yesterday relic worlds became invisible with this mod, is that already fixed or you had not noticed yet?
Lord Rato 16 Jun, 2019 @ 6:02am
@Dragon Ferocity It works now! Thanks!
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 14 Jun, 2019 @ 9:23pm
@Lord Rato: I have managed to fix the crashing issue. Let me know if you have any issues.
Lord Rato 11 Jun, 2019 @ 3:56pm
I noticed you updated the mod, however i am still experiencing crashes (with no other mods), can you please take a look? Thanks!
Lord Rato 8 Jun, 2019 @ 4:23pm
@Dragon Ferocity: Thanks!
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 7 Jun, 2019 @ 5:32pm
@Lord Rato: Not yet, I will be working on this this weekend.
Lord Rato 6 Jun, 2019 @ 4:07pm
Does it work with the latest update? (2.3)
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 3 Mar, 2019 @ 9:36am
The update is finally here. Megastructures are still slightly broken in the base game, so I've reverted changes I made to their size (since the game doesn't respect changing their size anymore). So, I apologize in advance of some of the megastructures look funny around stars
Silveressa 13 Feb, 2019 @ 12:39pm
@ Dragon Ferocity: Thanks, I hope you're able to get it working, this is one of my all time favorite Stellaris mods. :steamhappy:
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 12 Feb, 2019 @ 4:11pm
@Silveressa: I'm going to try once more now that 2.2.4 is out to see if any of the issues I've been having have been fixed. If they haven't then I'm going to revert the Megastructure changes I put in the mod, and we'll just have to deal with it unfortunately. It seems that PDX broke something and haven't realized it yet.
tilarium 12 Feb, 2019 @ 6:56am
What Dragon said. I use the slim version and it works great with PD and Real Space.
Silveressa 12 Feb, 2019 @ 2:51am
Any Word on an update for 2.24?
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 16 Dec, 2018 @ 5:21pm
@Melkor Unchained: There will be a patch for PD, and as for Real Space, I would suggest you use the Slim version of my mod!
Melkor Unchained 16 Dec, 2018 @ 9:54am
Will the update be compatible with Planetary Diversity or Real Space? Will there be a patch if not?
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 15 Dec, 2018 @ 9:05pm
I've run into an issue with scaling on ringworlds and am thinking it's a bug with 2.2. I'm looking into see if it can be resolved or not. Sit tight! Thanks!
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 12 Dec, 2018 @ 9:00pm
The update should be done tomorrow. Thanks for your patience!
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 6 Dec, 2018 @ 2:45pm
@spaceraider: Yes, I will be working on the update this weekend.
БагахульныйБаец 6 Dec, 2018 @ 12:16pm
will it be updated for 2.2.0?
kitty 8 Oct, 2018 @ 11:45am
Yes one of the best mods
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 1 Sep, 2018 @ 5:58pm
I understand that @Marius. You said you turned it off, so it shouldn't be an issue, correct? If you're still having the issue, something else is the culprit as any mod that is turned off in the launch window will not be loaded into the game.
Snaxxor 1 Sep, 2018 @ 10:41am
This is the only mod i have that changes the size of stars, and changes the design of systems
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 1 Sep, 2018 @ 10:37am
Well, I think at this point you should 1) stop complaining since no one else has this issue, and 2) Since you completely unsubscribed, turned it off in the launch window, and started a new game, then obviously, it's not my mod that is causing what you are experiencing. Perhaps it's the base game that you are frustrated with, and not my mod? If you don't believe me, then go into the mods folder on your computer under your steam folder and delete every single folder there and try again, fresh with no mods.

If that still doesn't fix your issue, could please constructively state your issues in the future rather than calling my mod stupid? I would appreciate it. If you really have that many issues with it, feel free to friend me and pm me and I'll see what I can do.

Thanks,
Snaxxor 1 Sep, 2018 @ 10:19am
I only ask that you please offer advice to completely remove this mod, as i'm quite tired of seeing my immersion broken whenever i zoom in on a system
Snaxxor 1 Sep, 2018 @ 10:18am
This issue is also even worse when there is a star system with several stars in a system, It's absolutely horrendous looking when there is a ring world or anything else in them.
Snaxxor 1 Sep, 2018 @ 10:15am
This mod ruined my game, after i realized that despite the star sizes are changed, mega structures are not built to actually scale with them, I have seen bugs such as ring worlds extremely super sized on a tiny star, clipping horribly into each other. I have also seen that when i built a dyson sphere on a star, the star was so big the dyson sphere went inside of it. This is not realistic at all and I have no idea how to completely remove this mod, as even after uninstalling, unsubscribing and turning it off, when i start a new game i still see the stars insanely huge still along with my ships flying inside of them. This is so utterly stupid, it's game-breaking, immersion breaking and i have no idea how to remove it.
zammerson 31 May, 2018 @ 3:50pm
Thanks!
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 31 May, 2018 @ 3:24pm
@Zammerson: No. If you want a version that does, check out my Slim version, MRSS: Slim. There's a link under the MRSS Patches section
zammerson 29 May, 2018 @ 8:12pm
Does this work with Real Space?
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 28 May, 2018 @ 9:42am
@Meowmeir: Thanks, i'll go fix it real quick!
AlijahTheMediocre 28 May, 2018 @ 8:43am
The Alpha Centauri system for some reason doesn't generate correctly and instead in its place is an empty void, I have checked to see if any other mods were causing but only when I disable this mod does it fix.
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 23 May, 2018 @ 1:18pm
Hey everyone: I have updated this for Niven. I have no had a chance to completely test the L-Cluster yet, but I wanted to get this out sooner rather than later. If you notice any issues with any of the new stuff, let me know please!

Thanks,
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 25 Apr, 2018 @ 7:43am
@Meowmeir: Should be easy enough, my mod already adds custom textures to Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune. Hopefully by this weekend, there'll be an update for you!
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 22 Apr, 2018 @ 3:15pm
@Meowmeir: You are correct about the names being wrong, and the colors of the stars being slightly off. I have made Rigil Kentaurs a class F star (which is yellow-ish white) since it is about 500K hotter than Alpha Centuari B. As far as the planets you specify, only one planet has actually been discovered in the Alpha Centuari system, and that planet orbits Proxima Centauri. Alpha Centauri Bb likely doesn't exist, and Alpha Centuari Bc is theoretical (They discovered it might exist when trying to prove Alpha Centuari Bb. Alpha Centauri Bc might be in the right location around B to be habitable, but the fact that is has an orbital period of <20 days likely means not.) As such, I have added Alpha Centuari Bc to the system, but left out Alpha Centauri Bb
BobGrey 22 Apr, 2018 @ 11:48am
All of them.
However, ruined ringworlds show up massive and connected, but when repaired, they go back to normal size and are split up
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 22 Apr, 2018 @ 6:40am
@BobGrey: When looking at ringworlds, there is a very tiny gap between the pieces is that what you are talking about? What I gathered from what you said in all your comments (for some reason) is that the pieces were really tiny. Are the pieces normal size, just with a tiny gap between each piece?
BobGrey 22 Apr, 2018 @ 4:50am
The only mods I was running that deal with scaling where this, Downscaled Ships, and Realistic Ships. However, after doing multiple tests, this was the cause. I ended up running ONLY this mod, and the issue still happened.
No matter what mods I ran (Downscaled Ships, Realistic Ships, etc.) as long as this mod was not active, I had no isseus.
Dragon Ferocity  [author] 21 Apr, 2018 @ 9:48pm
@BobGrey: All I can tell you is that I've tested just my mod extensively and the issue you are descibing simply doesn't exist. There has to be another mod out there that you are using that is causing this issue. It is extremely likely that one of those other mods you are using are modifying a file that is integral to this mod. I'm sorry, but some other mod is the culprit.
