The sound only works in local server or single player

No, I know that it cannot be set with the VMT file. I mean, just turn on the 'No Level Of Detail' setting using the 'VTFEdit' program and click 'Save' or 'Save as'. Just easy.

I tried. Its an automatic process by the Source engine and cannot be changed. There is no VMT parameter or anything of the sort that can exclude the texture from getting blurry the farther you go from it. All textures are affected by "Texture filtering", the setting that can be modified in the Advanced section of Video settings.
