Does this work for Chaos? I tried to revive a dead faction that started with two cities but taken over by another faction. One of the cities I can awaken a different tribe but the the other city only allows me to raze not liberate the deceased faction.

Thank you very much for this mod! Unbelievable that CA cut out the liberation mechanics from the game... -.-

However, I have a suggestion. I know this is old stuff and you probably can't be bothered about it.

When you liberate a faction you are its military ally and you can't break that for 10 turns without taking the penalty. Also, it always has the "aggressive" trait and will usually attack its next neighbour.

That's annoying.

1.) Is there a reason that liberated factions are always "aggressive"?

2.) Would it not be better making the mod so that the liberated faction has either no treaties at all with you or is your vassal so you don't get dragged into random wars immediately?

I had a possible bug with this mod. Stirland went and took out the Von Carstein faction. When I went to claim back Schwartzhafen from them, I won the battle but the faction that would have been able to be liberated was the Templehof Brood, not the Von Carsteins.

Hello Dresden,

I was wondering whether you could help me out with a personal mod of mine. I am trying to change faction religions, afaik there are three - wh_main_religion_undeath; wh_main_religion_chaos; wh_main_religion_untainted.

I would like to change what religion a faction has. Do you perhaps know which line in data (or elsewhere) in PFM do I need to change, please?

Thank you very much for all your modding, you have provided me and a friend with many hours of fun in both TWW and TWA :)

Dresden, no idea what motivates you, but can I just say, thank you for the commitment and talent as you clearly have it. Your mods on Total war Warhammer 1 and now 2 as well as Rome 2 are game changing as I'm sure you are aware. But felt the need to pat you on the back as you have allowed me and many others I'm sure to (role play) and just experience much more emersion and historical depth. Cheers!

You would have had to start the campaign with a mod that changes those settings in the startpos.

He man, great mod, quick qeustion, is it not possible to liberate dwarven factions casue its not possible to code or other reasons? i ask cause i play a 'Dwarfs rule the world' LP and i lost a Dwarven house near turn 80 somewhat, i was wondering since i have a riot brewing in that hold if you could get me a way to get that house back, i would just let the rebels take that sector and smach them later but since i cant bring that house back its just a missed chance, So.. long story short, can it be done and would you do it?? thx in advance anyway

Thanks for the mod which works great, i'm using this mod while playing Norsca so i can awaken the original norse tribes in the same way i could playing Chaos. I can see that the Chaos 'awaken tribe' option now automatically sets the awakend tribe as a vassal but the 'liberate' option sets them as a military ally. Is it possible to give the norse the 'awaken tribe' ability instead of the 'liberate' which i think is more fitting.

Eclipse - I run the same combo and am waiting for PD's LaV to be updated as well. This mod seems to be working fine for me but when (as Norsca) I liberated the Skaeling they were liberated as allies not as vassals IAW with Norsca DLC. Not sure if this overwrite is related to this mod or not.

Ordinarily I use "PlummusDucis's Liberate as Vassals" in concert with this mod. However, with the changes to liberation made by the Norsca update, I was hoping that this mod would accomplish both. Additionally, "PlummusDucis's Liberate as Vassals" has not been updated following the Norsca patch. I love both mods and thank both of you for your work.

@Dresden As of the Aug. 10 Norsca patch, "[a]wakened tribes will now become your vassals instead of allies". The mod description states: "The mechanic is the same as the chaos 'awaken tribe' option."

I'd like to see an Occupy Anywhere mod where you get zero garrison in a non-faction province.

This would make it so any kind of rebellion or attacks would push you back into your home provinces, but if there is little resistance you can expand.

Is anybody taking requests at the moment?

Is it true that Bretonnian factions can't be liberated like Tw1ich said, and do all the legendary lords become recruitable again or do the revived faction get generic lords?

I don't know, I've never used Steel Faith, like I said, I cna't even vouch for the normal working of that mod since I haven't actually had the chance to liberate a previous dwarf faction. I might get around to it though since Dwarfs have mostly confederated in my current Empire playthrough and I'm going to attack them for the achievement to raze Karaz-a-Karak.

Odd, I've had it enabled for some time now, and never crashed, although I actually can't say if it really works cause I haven't had the opportunity to liberate an orc-captured dwarf settlement.

I agree with HolyMolyOllyPolly can we add the dwarves in as being liberatable? It really doesn't make much sense to have them not be. It sucks when your playing any campaigns and you want to fight/befriend the dwarven empire and they are already wiped out at turn 30-40 is there a way to just make a seperate version that adds them in? Currently there is not other mod that works to add dwarves in to be liberated.

Its something that has to be changed in the startpos and would make this mod incompatible with other startpos mods.

Is this compatible with your vassal all factions mod? What if you conquer a region, which was the capital of a dead faction, but also happens to be the last settlement of another one? Theoretically you should get both the option to liberate the dead clan, aswell as vassalise the alive one?
