I have updated image 4 above to show the location where you should place the Dam. Hope it helps, and enjoy the map if you decide to use it :)
Sorry to hear you have a problem, however I think you are experiencing a bug unrelated to my map. I say this because I am having the exact same problem with my current game, but I have tested and verified the problem still exists on other maps, including the original CO maps:
If I start a new game, then quit out to main menu, then start another new game, I get an error...
Object reference not set to an instance of an object [System.NullReferenceException]
Details:
No details
...if I then switch to world view to purchase additional tiles, they are not selectable.
But as I say, this must be a bug outwith my map... I think it must be mod related, but I'm still investigating as I have a lot of mods...
Can I suggest you...
A. Try to replicate the problem on another map, to rule out my map as the problem.
B. Try running it with all mods disabled (with the exception of the 25 tile mod) and see if you can purchase additional tiles.
Just wanted to add... I'm open to suggestions for improvements, additions or modifications.
I would like to create more maps, but between work and family I don't have much free time at the moment, and what I do have is usually spent playing games (I still have to play this map myself)... and I just bought XCOM2... so those will keep me busy for a while I'm sure.
This map was created from scratch by hand, and it took me about 2 months to create... I was so fussy about the detail, I didn't want to release it until everything the way I wanted.
So yeah, I probably will create more maps, just not any time soon. But I hope you enjoy this one in the meantime. ;)
Good job on this map it looks amazing. Haven't loaded it yet because of all my assets and mods I use...
