I marked it as broken, as the changes made to the game on October 24 would have broken it for new subscribers.
It would have continued to work for peolpe who previously subscribed downloaded the mod prior to Oct 24 would have been unaffected.
I've just uploaded a change which should fix this.
In addition, there is a new overlay. type C.
It's based off a moden fighter cockpit HUD.
Look for the mod number 772650039.
Keen made significant changes to how mods are downloaded by Steam.
I had a case where another player found the downloaded file had been corrupted.
In fact, the mod with the broken turret I found did not load properly, as a result you won't see the overlay at all.
Added a another overlay type featuring the original game's target overlay which has been cleaned.
Added an intermediate width overlay for super-wide 21:9 monitors.
See the Description above for current details.
the default camera overlay sucks
For those wanting to know what went wrong, I'm not sure, but I'm guessing the DX11 support changed. It could be an updated video driver did it, or a change in Space Engineers.
I have had to regenerate the overlay textures with a premultipled Alpha channel from my master copy.
It looks like the most recent update of SE has broken the textures, as I am seeing the issue also.
It will take some time to investigate the issue.
I have added screenshots to show them above.
Please read the description on how to apply.
@KC Pilot : Yes, you can now use it on multiple monitors.
Same as the original.
