a-taking the pipes from the granade launcher
b-readding the missing pipes to the ammo pool
Because the default launcher has two extra, unused chambers and those chambers are too small.
Yeah, the chambers on the current 6-slot design are too small to physically fit the grenade model in them, while the grenades fit perfectly inside the 4-slot's chambers. *
Good job Valve.
Also the smaller number of barrels just makes it look tidier.
* Validity of this claim to be tested. I seem to remember this being the case, but I can't be enitrely sure right now.
