Hi Girmek. WOW! What can I say. This an excellent route. I love it. A lot dedication & work has gone into constructing this route & the attention to detail is absolutely amazing. Yes there are some slight glitches in the route, I have to admit, but these can be easily rectified. The turntables are too small for the larger, British steam locos, also the infill areas of the turntables need to be lowered for the base & running rail to be seen. Some signals don't operate, tip! the approach arrows should be placed just in front of the signals, for them to work properly. The player driver just has to frequent the map & check all the switch points in advance in some areas too. Apart from these points that I have mentioned, its an absolutely stunning & enjoyable route to run on. Well done Girmek, I'm very impressed with the route. Thx. for sharing. :steamhappy::steamthumbsup:

It's so disappointing that this route uses manual points throughout, making it close to unplayable even in scenarios. It's such a pity, this route is very long and detailed but has to be relegated to just something pretty to look at!
Kackdackel 26 Jan, 2023 @ 11:29am
Route looks quite good but please for the love of god never use that horrible track ever again
ThomasTrainBrain 25 Apr, 2021 @ 1:26am
Hmm... when I try to upload any scenarios for the route, it still says that the route isn't final... On the bright side though, the route seemed to go down very well on the workshop Wednesday stream this week. Matt and Jamie were constantly praising the amount of detail!
ThomasTrainBrain 5 Apr, 2021 @ 7:30am
Girmek, thanks a dozen. I will get onto uploading my scenario when I get a chance. It is an amazing route, I have recommended it on the Dovetail Forums to be included in the DTG workshop Wednesday livestream next week.

Thanks for your comments. I have investigated and mine shows WIP as well.
I have re-entered the editor and updated to final on the 64 bit version (The 32 bit version was marked as final). Looking forward to your scenario.
ThomasTrainBrain 1 Apr, 2021 @ 1:40pm
Having had a look, I realise the route is meant to be final, but it is still coming up as WIP for me. I wonder if this is the same for anyone else?
ThomasTrainBrain 1 Apr, 2021 @ 12:30pm
Absolutely brilliant route! Just spent some time making a scenario for it, but the route still says work in progress. I would imagine it has 30 upvotes by now, so would it be possible to make it final? If not, never mind, I shall wait patiently!
Peter 1949 24 Feb, 2021 @ 12:56am
Would be great if somebody did fingers crossed
Girmek  [author] 23 Feb, 2021 @ 8:46pm
Thanks Peter 1949. The route has been finalised and is open to anyone wishing to create scenarios. Maybe someone will take up the challenge.
Peter 1949 21 Feb, 2021 @ 7:23am
Very good route much impressed pity someone with more brains than me could not do some scenarios. N.S (Not Silent) would do some brill scenarios i hope
Girmek  [author] 20 Feb, 2021 @ 8:28pm
Thanks for the comment smyers. Appreciated.
smyers 20 Feb, 2021 @ 12:21pm
This is quite a piece of work, Girmek. Right up there in the top tier with Temsby, Yatesmouth, an LMS route and so on. Your unique style is most enjoyable. Same with your narrow-gauge route. Many thanks.

Stumbled on this route earlier today. As luck would have it, I bought the only two requirements I lacked to play it just this morning, was able to give it a QuickDrive after supper. Very impressive! My i7 7700k, GTX 1070, 32gb ram PC had no issues, except two minor bouts of stutter that lasted all of two seconds. Not enough to matter. Hardly enough to warrant mention.
TheBread1904 10 Oct, 2020 @ 2:23pm
Wow, and I thought Lenton-on-Sea was highly detailed. I look very much forward to this. Good luck with it!
Girmek  [author] 10 Oct, 2020 @ 5:38am
LCpl Allen Yes. A High Speed (Blue and Grey era) Route is under development. Not expected to be available for sometime due to the high level of detail.
TheBread1904 9 Oct, 2020 @ 9:36pm
This is such a great route! Good job mate. Do you have anymore like this in the works?
harryharry32 8 Mar, 2020 @ 5:39am
Thanks.
Girmek  [author] 7 Mar, 2020 @ 6:17am
Harryharry32 ....
The easiest way to do the full 104 mile round trip is to go into Quick Drive and choose your start point as 'Ashey Platform 2' and your destination as 'Ashey Platform 3'. (Default time of day is
14.00 Hrs)
harryharry32 5 Mar, 2020 @ 8:01am
i d/loaded your route before now on a new PC i have forgotten how to do a round trip.TIA.
Girmek  [author] 25 Jul, 2019 @ 3:53am
Glad you like it pat.andymurray.
pat.andymurray 24 Jul, 2019 @ 1:05pm
I love this route. I manage to make my S160 do 52.5 MPH on part of the route.
Girmek  [author] 18 Apr, 2018 @ 4:30am
This map has now been made 'Final'.

Anyone can make scenarios for this route but I would ask the following:
1) Please mention my name as the author to give me credit when publishing.
2) Please provide a positive rating for the original if you have not already done so as this will encourage me to publish further routes to the workshop.

Finally, I highly recommend that ALL TS graphics settings are set to their highest in order to avoid missing items whilst running scenarios. (The graphics settings in TS will show as 'Custom').

Enjoy the map and any scenarios added by others after today.

I have downloaded this route on another machine via Workshop, but have not yet experienced any issues around Oak Junction. I will monitor and continue to test to see if I can replicate problems in this area.
Girmek  [author] 26 Dec, 2017 @ 2:38pm
Not known of any issue like this. I will re-run the route and see what happens when I do.
DJ Spicey Pigeon 26 Dec, 2017 @ 5:25am
I have been driving on the route for a while and I do like it, one problem that I have with the route is at Oak junction as I seem to get a dump file whenever I am around it. Would it be because of the amount of scenery or could this be something else?
Girmek  [author] 24 Oct, 2017 @ 8:56am
Thanks for the comment stu12996. I agree with your statement about more watering points. Additional diesel fuel points added today, along with extra coal and water points along the route. These are mostly situated in sidings at engineering works, the dock area and rolling stock storage depots. Amended route updated on Steam.
stu12996 23 Oct, 2017 @ 1:23pm
The route is very nice for the limited amount of assets used, but could you possibly add in a few more watering points on the route? As it is seems that they are very far and few between
Pdguru 9 Oct, 2017 @ 10:19am
Girmek - a German wartime era line seems like it would be a great opportunity especially in winter. I don't know any another one so it would likely be very much appreciated. Nothing huge in terms of miles - just moody and dramatic.
Girmek  [author] 9 Oct, 2017 @ 2:37am
Thanks Pdguru! Now there's an idea, I might have a go at a German route (If I can get my head around the German signalling system).
Pdguru 8 Oct, 2017 @ 6:24pm
Excellent - thank you! Almost a Germaniv feel to the route - would love to see a version for running German steam locos along it. But regardless, this is a treat. Thank you again!
Girmek  [author] 17 Aug, 2017 @ 6:27am
Thanks for your positive comments browndog. The encouragement is appreciated.
browndog 14 Aug, 2017 @ 9:28pm
I was lucky enough to stumble across this route. What a gem! Probably the best I've ever downloaded or bought. Even found a couple of disused sheds and overgrown yard that will be great for a heritage setup, done on the cheap. The future looks rosy! Roll on the scenarios.
Girmek  [author] 10 Jul, 2017 @ 8:37am
You can run the route without the Town Scenery Pack and the Platform Clutter Pack as these are used to add fine detail like pavements, bus shelters etc. The route should be ok providing you have the main DLC requirements as listed.
Trainsim 10 Jul, 2017 @ 7:06am
what does the platform clutter and town scenery pack use in this route? is it required
Girmek  [author] 2 Jul, 2017 @ 4:29am
Missing markers in Free Roam Scenario replaced and scenario tested. Some additional AI added to route.
Girmek  [author] 26 Jun, 2017 @ 2:27am
I have checked and found that the markers are now missing as you say Stephen [Eng]. They were there but for some reason that I cannot understand, they've vanished!
I am going through the map and adding the missing markers in Free Roam (The Quick Drive appears to be ok).
Girmek  [author] 24 Jun, 2017 @ 12:36am
Thanks for your comment Stephen [Eng]. I'll check the route for the markers you say are missing in free roam.
GWR6029 23 Jun, 2017 @ 12:55pm
It looks like a very nice route, but me and my friends was going to do a race on it but couldn't as we discovered the platform, siding markers etc are not actually placed within the route itself as when we made free roam scenarios the map was completely blank and void of markers as they seem to be only placed in the quickdrive scenarios which my game for some reason also temp dumps on whenever trying to load any on them from any route.

Any chance the route itself could have the platform, siding markers etc added to it so whenever we make free roam scenarios or even time tabled scenarios we all know what the station and siding names are please? Ta :)
Girmek  [author] 12 Jun, 2017 @ 10:01am
Thanks derekkkx for your comments .... Very much appreciated.
Once the map is completed, it will be made Final and then the scenario makers can get to work!
derekkkx 10 Jun, 2017 @ 11:08am
Just want to say this is a BRILLIANT route ! Loads of different layouts of scenery, sidings, loops etc...doesnt follow the norm for amateur made route,s and is WELL WORTH downloading !
We just desperately need someone to CREATE SOME SCENARIOS for it !! Please !
Well done on a superb route.
Girmek  [author] 7 Jun, 2017 @ 7:57am
Thanks for all the comments so far guys! Certainly appreciated.

Watched this route on MPTV and I have to say it is amazing. You have obviously put in a lot of time creating it and the details you have included are impressive. Congrats on a job well done.
