If this could be updated... *Megazord intensifies* Also I am pretty sure vanilla takes into speed of the blocks when determining damage, as well as durability.

oh yea, just noticed the last update was in 2017.
still good for aesthetics and armour against ranged though
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 24. okt. 2022 kl. 15:21
there have been many changes to durability and block interactions since 2017, I have not looked at this mod in a long time as this was made as a request. It is very likely that block to block damage based on block durability has changed making damage to each other not as effective as it once was.

was just playing around with this mod. ironically the blocks had a hard time with melee attacks as they almost always broke against light armour, compared to a railgun round doing next to nothing. (they also make big craters when the rotor swinging them breaks and throws the blade behind it lol)

not really with the way drills work and eat ore and only a few drop out
WindUpHero7 4. apr. 2022 kl. 12:29
I had the idea of doing something like this as a very small-radius no-power drill, so you could make things like shovel excavators and bulldozers. Is that even possible?
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 26. mar. 2022 kl. 14:10
I do think something like that could be possible with weapon core and making the blocks resistant to damage, hmm
SourceStick 14. mar. 2022 kl. 5:25
I just got a sudden urge to make a samurai ship, I remember this being awesome block mod to do melee ships with. Btw, I'm wondering if it's possible to make a melee block system that would work something like this:

You place a "melee base" block on your ship. This block would act like a super fast piston or rotor to swing a sword on it.

The melee base block would on accept "melee blocks" that would look something like what is in this mod.

Any damage done to the melee blocks gets either repaired or negated by the "melee base" block if they are connected to that base block (and it consumes energy, of course).

The damage would either be repaired with components or just energy.

Yes this mod is working fine, all blocks are functional and they show in a group under the main block of the mod
sethstaples69 6. mar. 2022 kl. 8:40
does anybody know if this mod still works?
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 5. feb. 2021 kl. 8:28
ok, well, nearly forgot about this mod, i'll have to see why it's not working
Venator Cammander 4. feb. 2021 kl. 23:55

Also props to you for responding immediatly!
𝐏𝐈𝐗𝐄𝐋 2. juni 2020 kl. 9:03
Just a little lag while using them... but nonetheless this is an amazing mod! Id only add an inverted corner or something like that...
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 1. juni 2020 kl. 19:43
I have not used it in a while, does it not work? It should still
𝐏𝐈𝐗𝐄𝐋 1. juni 2020 kl. 19:04

ABlueHairedFox 28. aug. 2019 kl. 13:57
perfect for ships that are meant to ram enemies, or for when you just wanna build a giant sword
Wira 10. dec. 2018 kl. 14:09
PLS UPDATE, this mod is very creative, and after seeing it I am filled with soo many cool ideas to try out in survival with friends haha

not saying mod is broken, but if it got more love then it would be a very fleshed out addon for any game
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 30. nov. 2018 kl. 5:53
will definitely have some model improvements for some of the blocks (new stuff I've learned since this mod)
𝐏𝐈𝐗𝐄𝐋 27. nov. 2018 kl. 9:31
Thanks for answering, ill be here to wait for a new update... No need to rush, you've done a great job already!
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 26. nov. 2018 kl. 9:31
i'll need to find the sources again
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 26. nov. 2018 kl. 9:30
oh i see what you mean
𝐏𝐈𝐗𝐄𝐋 26. nov. 2018 kl. 7:19
Could you please make an inverted corner for the corner blocks, i was able to build some pretty awesome stuff with this mod! However, whenever i tried to build a wider sword i cant finish the tips off without making it flat... wich not only limits the stabbing abilities but also kills the looks of a superlaser encased by a double bladed giant sword by making it flat at the tip... So if you have the time please give this awesome mod another try! It deserves it and im sure im not the only one who misses such a block... :steamhappy:
TheSilverInfinity 1. sep. 2018 kl. 13:02
This mod is one of those things that I never knew I really wanted
Catradora sustains me 26. maj 2018 kl. 6:24
Thanks. Yesterday I was trying to make a sword and ended up having to settle on using interior pillars: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1394366189
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 25. maj 2018 kl. 21:00
hadn't thought of that when this was made, good idea though
Catradora sustains me 25. maj 2018 kl. 10:43
What about a handle like block, so you could imbed it into the ground like King Arthur or a giant's sword.
Delta4Phoenix 22. feb. 2018 kl. 7:43
@Cunt We think alike. Well, either welders or Nanite Factory.
Dr. Fish 12. feb. 2018 kl. 13:31
You cut put welders behind these on a ramming/swinging based ship and it would be unstoppable.
Delta4Phoenix 8. feb. 2018 kl. 12:31
@737 Garrus Why do you even ask? Though I prefer impaling my enemies and then dropping there sword plocks (along with said enemy into the gravity well of a planet
[Hum Bungalo] KarmaFoxe 27. okt. 2017 kl. 21:43
Make these into weapons, im interested to see where this goes
737✈Garrus 7. maj 2017 kl. 1:41
WTF man? put giant swords on ships and add crazy amount of gyroscopes to swing 'em? O_o
Shroom 6. jan. 2017 kl. 19:54
So I did some comparisons and these blocks seem quite a bit unbalanced. Less than half the weight of heavy armor, but nearly 10x the integrity.

Also, how come the base block (arguably the one block of this mod that consist of the most mass) costs less and weighs less/has lower integrity than the rest?
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 2. dec. 2016 kl. 15:23
yes, but also get destroyed too, but at little slower rate
halipatsui 2. dec. 2016 kl. 15:13
So they make considerable damage to heavy armor on impact?
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 2. dec. 2016 kl. 14:18
All blocks tend to work the same way with physics (smashing into each other) therefore, if these were to be near invulnerable, you would not be able to move them with a ship they would be so heavy. They are however 7-8 times more durable than heavy armor.
halipatsui 2. dec. 2016 kl. 12:42
How strong those parts are exactly?
Will sword made of them break if i slap heavy armor ship with the sword?
halipatsui 2. dec. 2016 kl. 12:40

Buahahaha i see... possibilities...
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 22. nov. 2016 kl. 15:12
@frosty1098, I'll check out mirroring on small blocks thanks for the heads up, I thought I got all of the mirroring fixed.

@lincolnlou, Yes, all blocks are both large and small grid
MeatyDoubleSlap 22. nov. 2016 kl. 1:33
does this have small blocks?
Frosty 22. nov. 2016 kl. 0:29
Great Mod but there is a problem with mirroring that causes blocks to float of into space because they dont properly connect on small ships
overwerk 26. okt. 2016 kl. 9:49
i don't know how you could make this, but i heard that you could borrow code from the blast doors to make the swords work.
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 20. okt. 2016 kl. 8:36
made the texture with photoshop, and looked at some real world damascus steel photos to get an idea of what it looked like.
Poghrim 20. okt. 2016 kl. 7:22
I really like the damascus steel design!
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 18. okt. 2016 kl. 14:52
this should cause no issues in stable, the same files are uploaded for stable as dev, there is no difference, the flag is only there as notification.
maxi_franke 18. okt. 2016 kl. 14:08
if i activate this mod, i got a message: "mod created in development, could cause issues in game"
and now my shadows are red.
Sebforce116 17. okt. 2016 kl. 18:11
so the next thing we need is a Vibranium steel alloy shield block :P
