The good news is that replicating this in a personal mod folder seems easy enough. Just have to copy over the "#DEFAULT" marked option = {} blocks to copies of the appropriate vanilla files.

Events still appear to have their selection options based on set government types, so this or something like it is probably still needed.

Wait, are you telling me that if I have a custom Government, I can get into a situation where, because I lack a Vanilla rendition government, my answer WILL CAUSE THE CRISIS TO NOT SPAWN?

I don't know if you can clasify this as an event but there seems to be skipped dialogue when talking to the infinity machine.

Does anyone know if the piracy thing is supposed to appear in the Sitlogs because its not for me. I fought the pirates one time and now can't seem to find their base even with this mod.

It is still a bug, just a hidden one that does not show itself in vanilla.

@Risa you can do that, but this is not directly a bugfix. it only makes certain events work with modded governments.

hi Echo, and thanks for this mod , great idea and concept.
I think i found a conflict with this mod and FALLEN EMPIRES EXPENDED V 1.4
When i create a new game with both mods activated, a message appears stating " the sol imperium has met his demise at the hands of his enemies ..."each time , and right to the start.
When i deactivate your mod : no message.
Can you help ?

No problem. Also one other thing to note, I am pretty sure each file can only have one namespace. So if you were to try this, you'd need the crisis events in one file and the pirate events in another.

Hi there! Thanks for making this. I just found out about this issue and it's driving me nuts thinking about users of my new governments mod not being able to actually start the crises.

Something I think you might want to consider is that when it comes to events, you don't actually have to overwrite the whole file. You can instead override just the specific event you want to modify. You can do this with a new file so long as you have the appropriate "namespace" set. For example, all the crisis event files have "namespace = crisis" at the top. If you make a new file with "namespace = crisis" then you should be able to just include new definitions for the specific events you want to change.

@ECHO My apologies, I was mistaken - this was simply the most obvious culprit by time of installation/concept. Further digging suggests it had something to do with The Belt, not this mod.

@[DMN N!] DamnitEbby I didn’t have any problems when playing and I haven’t modified the precursor events so I doubt it’s this mod directly. This event spam bug has happened before with other events (war in heaven) so it might be a vanilla bug.

I think there's a bug. I asked about information about a Wraith, I think a Blue Wraith, but the Curator Enclave instead seemed to give me information about the Infinity Machine instead.

Is there a bug with the Infinity Sphere? I've had it seemingly get stuck, after end of the project, whereas I expect it to at least disappear. And there are several Reddit threats also talking about this weird behaviour, where it appears bug-like rather than as an explicit "null" outcome where the player empire gets no benefit from having helped the Sphere.

Sorry, but I've been unable to find a savegame where I have the opportunity to purchase the required information. But note that the bug occurs not only with Wraiths, but also with Dimensional Horrors and with Stellar Drakes or Star Drakes or whatever they're called. Presumably the bug occurs wit all Leviathans.

When I ask Science Enslaves for nformation about Wraith, the window consistently closes before I have time to read the text. It's clearly a vanilla bug (I've read others have it too) rather than something caused by this mod (or other mods), but it'd still be nice if this mod could fix it.

there is now a beta patch called 1.3.1 and Stellaris says this mod and a few others are outdate, thought I'd let you know unless you already know
